Chapter 177 Went to Sleep with Nancy?
Chapter 177 Went to Sleep with Nancy?
The next second, a truck came barreling toward us head-on, straight at Jamie's sports car.
Jamie's sports car was small, and that truck was huge. With the speed we were going, if they collided, both Jamie and I would be dead.
My back broke out in a cold sweat instantly.
Jamie's eyes went wide at that moment. When the truck was only a few yards away from us, Jamie reacted fast—he jerked the wheel hard, swerving the car out of the lane and into the roadside green belt.
With a loud crash, my head started spinning. A sharp pain shot up from my feet straight to my lower abdomen.
I reached down and instinctively pressed my hand against my stomach.
Before I could even gather my thoughts, the car door was yanked open. Then I caught a glimpse of Jamie — completely defenseless — being dragged out roughly.
I tried to force myself to focus and see who was dragging Jamie, but the next second, someone grabbed me by the hair and pulled me to the ground.
My whole body was screaming in pain. I had no idea who had dragged me down or how it had happened.
Then Katherine's voice rang in my ear.
"You stupid bitch. Weren't you the one who refused to save Michael? Weren't you acting all high and mighty in front of me?"
"Since Michael can't be saved, you can die with him."
With that, my hair was grabbed again. I tried to fight back, but the pain ripping through my body left me with nothing.
I pushed myself to stay conscious and used every bit of strength I had left to shout at Jamie, "Call Andrew! Call Andrew!"
The moment I said that, Katherine's voice came back.
She let out a cold laugh, her words dripping with contempt.
"Call Andrew? You want Andrew to come save you? God, you're so naïve."
"Andrew is busy with Nancy right now. He doesn't have the time to worry about whether you live or die."
"Just sit there and wait to die."
The other things Katherine said didn't really get to me — but what she said about Andrew being with Nancy hit me hard.
Andrew and Nancy had almost been engaged. In this whole city, she was probably the only one who could make Andrew drop everything and leave.
Had he gone to sleep with her?
No wonder he'd turned me down every night this past week, using my pregnancy as an excuse.
So Nancy still had a place in his heart. The reason he'd been treating me well lately was probably because Clara had been pressuring him — plus the fact that I was now pregnant.
After all, powerful families always care deeply about having children.
But knowing Andrew the way I did, I still believed he wouldn't do that.
Because in the middle of the night, when he held me in his arms, I had heard him say more than once that he loved me.
He loved me. And if he loved me, he wouldn't sleep with Nancy. There was still a small part of me that wanted to hold onto that hope.
I felt awful. But I didn't have long to sit with that feeling. Katherine was already dragging me by the hair toward her black car. Then someone threw a burlap sack over my head and shoved me into the trunk.
Katherine started the car and drove off.
As we passed Jamie, I could clearly hear him being pinned down and beaten, crying out for help.
I desperately wanted to help him.
But there was nothing I could do. I could barely help myself.
I had no idea where the car was headed. As the ride got bumpier and bumpier and the pain in my body kept building, I blacked out at some point.
When I opened my eyes, the sky outside had already grown dark.
I was tied to a solid wooden chair, my hands bound behind my back, the rope cutting painfully into my wrists.
I tried to pull free, and the sharp pain snapped me fully awake.
I looked around the room. It was a small, dimly lit single-story building.
The walls were damp all around. There was no furniture anywhere. Through a narrow window, I could see how dark it was outside.
I struggled hard, but the chair wouldn't budge.
Just as I was about to try again, a sudden sound pulled my attention to one corner of the room.
In the corner sat a table—an old, beaten-up one—with a TV on top of it. When the TV clicked on, two figures appeared on the screen—a man and a woman.
The woman was on top of the man, moving over him. His pants were nearly pushed down to his knees. She leaned over him, kissing him, and moaning sounds came from the screen.
I was confused—had they kidnapped me just to make me watch some kind of sex tape?
Then, in a daze, I spotted a black mole on the man's thigh.
That mole belonged to Andrew.
The man pinned beneath the woman on screen — was that Andrew?
And the woman on top of him, I didn't even need to think about it. It had to be Nancy.
The two of them were actually having sex. And in that position — woman on top, man beneath.
That was Andrew's and my favorite position in bed.
In that moment, my mind went completely blank. I sat there frozen, staring at the screen.
A wave of nausea surged through my chest. My stomach was empty, but I felt like I could throw up at any second.
I remembered what Katherine had said when she dragged me into that car — that Andrew was with Nancy and had no time to worry about me.
I had half-believed her, but I'd still held onto that small bit of hope.
But now, watching what was playing out on that screen right in front of me, even that last shred of hope was gone.
Tears spilled from my eyes before I could stop them.
No woman could watch her husband have sex with another woman like that and be okay with it.
