Chapter 83 - The Unforgiving Luna

Kieran's Pov.

The night had been amazing. For the first time in weeks, I slept properly.

I slept with her in my arms. Something I could never get tired of.

She had a bad dream but that was it. None of it will come true because I was here for her now.

I will make sure of it.

I watched the closed door unblinkingly from the bed, where I sat as I counted the seconds before it opened and there she was. Like a goddess as she stepped out wrapped in only a white towel.

My eyes were glued to her, watching her like a hawk as she tried her best to ignore me while she sat in front of the mirror. Once again, I ignored Williams mindlink which was to remind me of the important meeting I had today with other Alphas.

They could all wait for all I care.

It had been like this ever since we woke up this morning. I couldn't bear to take my eyes off her. It felt as if she would disappear again.

Even with my mark on her, I couldn't feel at ease.

She stretched her legs out, where I could see them perfectly as a creamy liquid dropped off on her milky calves.

I noticed how hard she was trying not to look at me as her fingers glided over the cream, spreading it all over her calves and moving higher up to her thighs.

My eyes followed her every action, unable to blink. I cursed under my breath and loosened my collar as I imagined pulling that towel off her with my teeth or spreading that creamy liquid all over her with my fingers in some more forbidden places.

"You're staring too hard" she pointed.

"I can't help it" I breathed, feeling how the space around me had heated up. "Especially since you're doing it intentionally"

"I didn't mean to"

"Liar" a growl left me as I approached her but she quickly stood from her seat, backing away as if she was afraid of something.

"What?" I tried to hold back a chuckle.

"Not again, Kieran. We already did it five times" she counted with her fingers.

"A sixth time wouldn't hurt." I shrugged, stalking towards her but she kept backing away.

"Why did you try to seduce me if you can't handle the consequences?"

"I-I was just trying out something. I didn't think it would work."

"Well it did. What are you going to do about it now?"

"How come you're so easily seduced?"

"As long as it's you. A sniff of your scent could get me hard in seconds"

"Haa..." She scoffed "Blame it on your beastly desires"

Her eyes searched around and she managed to grab a hand mirror which she was going to use as her weapon against me.

"Is that it?" I tilted my head and she cocked up a brow as she waved her weapon in front of me.

"You never know"

"Cunning... I like that spirit of a fighter. Are you ready to go up against me then? In this bedroom?" I looked around and released a sigh "There are a lot of places I can't wait to pin you against. I've always wanted to do it against the windowsill"

"Asshole!!!" She threw the mirror at me and it hit my head, hard.

It felt painful.

"Everyone is waiting, Kieran. Get your ass up here before I barge into the room" once again, I ignored Williams mindlink and brought back my attention to the goddess in front of me.

"You're needed right? Is it Williams?"

"Ohhh... someone can't wait to get rid of me"

"No" she quickly denied it "Of course I want to be with you every second but your people needs you now"

"More than you do?"

"Mmhmm..." She nodded.

"I don't agree" I tilted my head and took one large stride towards her but she agilely jumped away.

"You--"

"If you allow me one kiss, I'll leave then"

"No way!! You said that before I left to wash up and what happened?"

"You tell me" my lips formed into a grin as I watched her face turn pink instantly.

"Why were you named Kieran again? The word Barbarian fits you better!!"

A knock on the door interrupted what I was going to say. I cursed under my breath knowing just who was out there.

"Ignore him" I said to Hazel and she gave me a nod. A big smile spreading across her face as she ran towards the door and I knew what she was going to do in that instance.

"Sorry, but your people needs you" she blinked twice then opened the door to reveal the angry bull, waiting outside.

I had no choice then than to go out obediently but of course I wasn't completely obedient.

I grabbed her just when I reached the door and gave her the most satisfying wet kiss I could.

"See you in a bit" a smirk covered my lips as I closed the door and faced Williams.

"Are you trying to put me or all of us in trouble?" William was mad but I ignored him, checking my wrist watch Instead.

"The meeting time is 12:00pm and it's 11:59am now. No one asked them to come earlier. What are you complaining about again?"

Williams had no words. He knew very well I was right.

"Alpha Cullens is also here today. There are rumours that he plans to borrow some of our warriors"

"I don't borrow out my warriors"

"In exchange, he would give out his support when it is time for you to take the throne"

"His support?" My lips curved upward "I don't need it"

After the meeting with the Alphas, Williams followed me back to my office to sort out some paper works.

There was a pile of work to do as I had been unavailable for more than a month.

I couldn't tell how many hours had passed by but It was evening time and I was exhausted.

There was a knock on the door and William entered with a file just then.

"Another one. I thought we were done for today?"

"It's the last one" Williams said "It's the report on the people who breached our territory the last time. Turns out they were from the Midnight pack"

"The Midnight pack?" I repeated. It sounded very familiar.

"It's Luna's family's pack. it's either they were planning to steal some info or they just wanted attention"

I sighed, resting my back on the chair as I gave a nod to Williams.

"I understand" I took the report from him and skimmed through it before giving it back.

"We'll visit them soon. Don't let this go around"

"Of course" Williams bowed and left.

My brows furrowed in thought when he left and I stood up to go stand near the window where I could see every one below. My office was the perfect spot to have an overview of everything that was going on in the mansion.

I could see where my warriors trained, where children played, where teenagers have fun and where the ladies come together.

I was surprised to see Hazel among the ladies. She was chatting and laughing happily with them.

A sight that warmed my heart.

I could feel her excitement here in my chest.

I placed my hands in my pocket and just stared. All I could see was her. Her smile, her eyes, the aura she exuded.

She was beautiful in every way. Perfect even. I couldn't wait to make her my Luna... and my Queen!

As I brought my hands out from my pocket, I found a small device. One I had placed in it this morning.

It was the drive Ethan had given to me. I had almost forgotten about it but still, it was important if Ethan had come up to me himself.

I didn't like him one bit and we never really talk on a normal basis except for once when I had beaten him up because he also tried to hit on Hazel with Grayson.

He usually seemed like he kept to himself but I found him strange every time. He was unpredictable too and he had this weird habit of spying on people and of course doing those things with the Queen.

Like me and the rest, Ethan's real mother was a concubine of the King but everyone was made to believe the Queen birthed us when in reality, she birthed only Grayson which explains why he was such a fox.

A fox Mother and a Fox son. Heh.

I flipped the drive with my fingers. Whatever was in it, I hope it was worth the look.

Turning on the computer and inserting the drive. I found there were a lot of files.

I opened them one by own and I couldn't help pulling my brows together.

Each of the files contained a video.

A video of the King. This were the videos Ethan had taken from spying on the King.

Why would he give something like this to me?

I opened each of the video and they all contained normal routines of the King. Nothing much except for one that seemed really strange.

A knock on the door interrupted me and I quickly covered the laptop, looking up to see who it was.

"Hazel? What are you doing here?"

"I noticed you haven't eaten anything" she walked inside, placing a cioler in front of me "Williams said you were busy and you don't usually eat when you work"

"That's true" I said, holding her gaze, a mischievous look in my eyes as I said "I accept only certain types of food"
