Chapter 93

Chapter 93

At the regular meeting, I spoke up.

"Mr. Wheeler, Terrence messed up both of those projects. How is he going to compensate for the losses?"

The moment I said this, Sawyer's face clearly froze. He stared at me hard, then said through gritted teeth, "He'll naturally compensate for this project."

Terrence panicked when he heard this.

"Dad, I don't have that much money!"

"In that case, I'll wait for Terrence to resolve this matter."

After the meeting ended, Terrence stopped me.

"Nancy, I know you're deliberately targeting me. Help me solve this, and I'll let you stay at the Johnson Group from now on. I won't kick you out."

Hearing this suddenly, I jerked my head up to look at him, unable to stop a smile from spreading across my lips. "You think way too highly of yourself. You really think you can kick me out?"

Terrence froze.

"Why can't I kick you out? Don't forget, I've fired plenty of people from the Johnson Group before."

I laughed even more.

"You're so new here, aren't you curious why it was so easy for you to fire those people?"

"Why?" Terrence asked instinctively.

The corner of my mouth twitched. This guy is such a fool.

"Of course it's because the people you fired were exactly the ones I wanted gone."

Terrence froze, then said anxiously, "You, you, you... Did you set me up on this, too?"

I turned and left, leaving Terrence standing there alone.

He probably couldn't figure out even if he racked his brain how those people had offended him, and how he'd fired them in a fit of rage.

Back in my office, I immediately called Michael and told him what happened today.

Michael also gave me some news.

Terrence had approached people in the Johnson Group's finance department, trying to get money.

I chuckled softly.

"I feel like he's been digging his own grave ever since he entered the Johnson Group. Isn't he worried?"

Michael was silent for a moment.

"Last time he entered the Johnson Group, it was the same. He was hell-bent on self-destruction. If Sawyer hadn't protected him, he'd probably be in prison by now."

Although Sawyer is shameless and scheming, he really is a good father.

I sighed quietly.

It just depends on whether Terrence can trap himself this time.

Next, I gave Terrence enough room to operate, while Sawyer kept contacting other shareholders and executives at the Johnson Group, trying to unite them to pressure me.

However.

The shareholders and executives could all see that Terrence simply wasn't smart. Keeping him at the Johnson Group might leave the company with nothing but losses.

Nobody was willing, so Sawyer's plan was extremely difficult to implement.

Plus, there was I. I'd occasionally go find Sawyer and Terrence to press them about the debt, telling them to hurry up with the compensation.

Sawyer and Terrence were busy and stressed out.

Meanwhile, I leisurely stayed in my office. If I didn't feel like coming to work, I'd have Tom handle my work while I went out for beauty treatments.

I also went and picked up Amelia.

I just didn't expect Jane to be there, too.

Amelia and Jane have always had a good relationship. They might have had some conflicts before, but Jane just pulled on Amelia's arm and acted cute for a bit, and Amelia forgave her.

When she saw me, Amelia quickly called me over.

"Nancy, is there any trace of Michael now?"

I shook my head.

Jane was still here, and if I told Amelia, once Jane found out, the Wheeler family would probably know too.

Hearing what I said, Amelia visibly relaxed.

"Amelia, don't worry. Michael will be fine."

One sentence of comfort didn't help much. After I sent Amelia home, Jane even stayed for dinner.

I didn't mind, because I left after eating too.

I was keeping a man at my house.

Michael had moved into my place. When I came in, he was lying on the sofa watching a movie on my tablet.

"Nancy, come here." As soon as I went over, a man and woman in the movie were kissing passionately.

Then Michael pressed me down and proceeded to imitate and perform.

I helplessly pushed him away.

"Michael! What are you doing!"

Michael pouted pitifully.

I pressed his head back down.

Fine! Kiss! After everything that happened before, seeing Michael look aggrieved actually made my heart ache a little.

I couldn't bear to see any trace of grievance on that handsome face.

Michael instantly smiled. He cupped my face and gently kissed my cheeks continuously, then slowly moved down to my neck. Feeling my body stiffen, Michael got even more excited.

"Does Nancy like it when I kiss your neck?"

He asked me with a smile.

Then, without waiting for my answer, he kissed down quickly and precisely, sucking hard. I didn't need to look to know he'd left a hickey.

But my neck really is my sensitive spot. I uncontrollably hugged his head, making our contact even closer.

Looking carefully, I noticed Michael was grinning widely.

"Stop laughing!" I said with slight reproach.

Michael tilted his head slightly.

"Okay, okay, whatever our Nancy says goes."

Coming from his mouth, these words were somewhat doting, but I felt they were more sexual.

His member was reacting again!

I pushed him away without hesitation and stood up from the sofa, crossing my arms and saying, "Michael, you're sleeping on the sofa tonight."

Michael immediately looked aggrieved. "I'm still injured. Do you really have the heart to make me sleep on the sofa alone?"

I exposed his little scheme without hesitation. "I think sleeping on the sofa would be better for your recovery. Otherwise, who knows when that injury will heal?"

Michael pressed closer.

"Then I won't move. Nancy can move."

I froze instantly.

I was certain Michael was doing this on purpose.

The next moment, he'd already followed me into the bedroom and kissed me.

That's right, Michael, in this life, he is very good at teasing me. How could I be his match?

The next morning, I left Michael alone at home and went downstairs, where I ran into John again.

But John now was somewhat different from before.

Before, although he was dejected, at least there was light in his eyes. Now his eyes were filled with madness.

Seeing me come out, he walked up from the side in a few steps and grabbed my hand.

I quickly pulled back.

"What do you want?" I frowned at him. I vaguely felt there was something strange about him that I found very off-putting.

John quickly said, "Nancy, can you lend me some money?"

My frown deepened.

He looked like a bankrupt gambler who, for a bit of money to turn things around, could trample his dignity underfoot and ask anyone for money.

Thinking of Zander's condition, I roughly understood what was going on with John.
