Chapter 19

Chapter 19

After the Martinezs were kicked out, they were still making a scene at the Johnson Mansion entrance.

They said all kinds of nasty and insulting things.

Both were wealthy families, but I never expected the gap between them to be this huge.

Amelia's unconditional trust and support touched my heart.

This feeling was just like how Michael unconditionally stands up for me.

It really showed that whether a family was happy or not reflected in the children.

It was precisely because Michael felt loved in the Johnson family that he knew how to love me.

After kicking them out, Amelia finally calmed down a bit, but she still couldn't help cursing. "Their son deserved to get beaten. They blame everything on my son - they're really shameless."

I instinctively poured Amelia a glass of water and gently comforted her. "Mrs. Johnson, it's all over now. Don't be too angry; getting upset is bad for your health."

Amelia took the glass from me, and her mood improved a little.

But David stared at Michael, looking like he had already seen through him. "Michael, tell me the truth - did you do it?"

I was surprised by David's question, but I was also curious about the answer.

After the Martinezs left, Michael became even more bold and simply admitted it openly. "He deserved it. I was doing the right thing and getting rid of a pest."

Seeing how calm and composed Michael looked earlier, I really thought he didn't do it.

Now seeing him admit it, I actually didn't quite believe it.

Amelia's expression changed, and she slapped him hard on the shoulder, pretending to scold him. "You're doing this kind of sneaky thing and hitting people really disgraces the Johnson family reputation."

But Michael looked completely unbothered and said matter-of-factly, "If I didn't stand up for Nancy, that would truly disgrace our family reputation. I don't think I did anything wrong. I'd do it again no matter how many times."

Seeing Michael's parents, I got a bit nervous and instinctively wanted to speak up for Michael. "Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, this is my fault."

As soon as I said that, his parents stopped me.

David didn't blame him at all, but nodded with approval instead. "Good, you at least have some responsibility. You're worthy of being my son. This isn't your fault - that jerk deserved to be beaten."

This was just a small incident.

After Amelia learned that I beat Ethan at shooting, she was even more pleased with me. "Nancy, I didn't expect you to know how to shoot. You really saved Michael's face this time."

Amelia was generous with her praise for me.

This actually made me feel a bit embarrassed.

I sat next to Amelia with my head down and said shyly, "Mrs. Johnson, please don't praise me anymore. These are just small tricks, nothing impressive."

"For a girl to know these things is already amazing. How lucky are we to find such a wonderful daughter-in-law like you."

Amelia kept praising me, and the more she praised me, the more she looked at Michael with displeasure. "Look at you, besides finding Nancy as a wife, what other skills do you have? Always walking around with a cold face outside, and at home you're just an eyesore."

From the moment I entered the Johnson Mansion, I could feel Michael's low status at home.

Seeing him get scolded, I couldn't help but laugh quietly. This kind of contrast wasn't something you see every day.

I had a great time at the Johnson Mansion. When I saw it was getting late, I suggested leaving.

Michael offered to drive me home.

Sitting in the passenger seat, I was in a great mood, but Michael next to me didn't look so happy.

Ever since I came to the Johnson Mansion today, Michael's parents hadn't given him a single pleasant look.

Seeing me humming a song now, Michael felt even more uncomfortable and said unhappily, "Nancy, you're really happy today, aren't you?"

I didn't catch the undertone in his words and kept smiling and chatting cheerfully with him. "Of course! Your parents are so nice to me. I really like them."

I didn't realize the danger coming at all.

And just then, Michael stopped the car right in front of my house.

Just as I was about to get out, I suddenly felt a force on my wrist pulling me back.

Michael caught me off guard and leaned in.

A handsome face appeared in my vision, and I instantly lost all my temper.

Michael pressed me tightly against the passenger seat, his tongue tentatively exploring into my lips.

With just a little move from him, I surrendered completely.

Michael kissed me freely, and my nose was filled with the faint woody scent from his body.

As things heated up, Michael's large hand explored from my back, his palm wandering on my back, the warmth stimulating my senses.

I couldn't help but let out a soft moan, twisting my body trying to struggle.

But Michael had no intention of letting me go, instead deepening the kiss.

I felt like I couldn't breathe, gently patting his chest.

But Michael seemed to do it on purpose, grabbing my hand and guiding it onto his body.

I struggled to pull my hand away.

"Nancy, I love you." Michael's voice was husky as he suddenly looked into my eyes and spoke affectionately.

Michael looked completely lost in passion.

I knew what he was thinking.

Just as I was distracted, he pulled down my clothes from behind.

My fair skin was exposed before him.

Michael's eyes filled with desire as he bit down on my shoulder.

"Michael..." I gently pushed him, calling his name softly.

Michael buried his head in my shoulder, but didn't make any further moves.

I couldn't help but wonder, and before I could speak, he got up from me.

"Sorry, I was impulsive today." Michael's eyes showed restraint as he apologized in a deep voice.

As he spoke, Michael deliberately avoided looking at me.

Seeing him deliberately holding back, I got mischievous and deliberately touched his thigh, half-coquettishly saying, "You really are a gentleman. I was right about you."

As I spoke, I kept moving upward.

I could clearly feel Michael's body stiffen, probably not expecting me to make such a bold move.

Just as my hand was about to reach his belt, his large hand grabbed mine. "Nancy, don't play with fire. I'm not a gentleman. If I could, I'd want to make love to you right now."

But I didn't care and continued to provoke him. "Anyway, we're not married yet, so you can't do anything to me. Otherwise, you won't be able to explain it to your parents."

It was precisely because I knew what kind of person Michael was that I was so fearless.

"Is that so? We're engaged, they can't control us." As he spoke, Michael leaned toward me again.

Worried about really playing with fire, I knew when to stop. "Alright, it's getting late. I need to go home. You should go back and rest too."

Not giving Michael a chance, I immediately opened the car door and got out, running toward home like I was escaping.

Before I got far, I heard Michael's soft laughter coming from the car.
