Chapter 66 A Mark and a Warning
ANGELICA'S POV
Everything felt blissful.
That was my first thought when I opened my eyes. However, the thought disappeared as soon as I moved my body a little.
Fucking hell!
This was my new feeling.
My body ached like it had been rammed by a truck a couple of times, my bones broken a few times, and then joined at odd angles. And I swear that wasn't even an exaggeration of what I was feeling.
“Mmm,” I tried to move my body.
But the dead weight on my abdomen made it impossible to do. I looked at the hand that was keeping me in place, the sudden rush of heat reaching my core immediately.
Someone was holding me from behind, almost spooning and engulfing me like I was some kind of teddy bear.
One hand of the person was between my boobs, wrapping around my neck while the other hand hugged my abdomen, pressing me close to them.
The slight movement in my periphery made me furrow my brows.
“Good morning, my love,” Ericson smiled, more like beaming at me.
I raised my brows.
‘My love?’ What happened to ‘Mi Vida?’
As if he understood my confusion, he smiled at me and shook his head.
He walked to me and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, his touch immediately easing the tension in my body.
Since Ericson was standing before me, the person hugging me so intimately was Dylan.
“You did well,” Ericson whispered, his fingers tracing the side of my neck.
As if some strange thing electrocuted me, my body jerked at the pleasurable sensation that travelled in my body, making something poke my entrance.
Knowing exactly what it was and how I was still sore from all the activities of the night, I gulped and pleaded with Ericson through my eyes to help push Dylan away.
“Tired already?” Dylan cooed in my ears.
His sensual voice was so seductive that it made me want to open my legs for him voluntarily.
He supported himself on his elbows, looking down at me, lying me flat below him.
His blue eyes sparkled with excitement, mischief, and something dark that I couldn't quite put my finger on.
“You are so fragile, mi Amore. If not, I would want to stay inside you day in and day out,” Dylan said.
Ericson, rather than stopping his brother, joined us on the bed, rubbing the side of my hand up and down.
“You guys do realise we can't spend the entire day and night in bed and that you guys have so-called alpha duties, right?” I asked, hoping the little reminder would save me some…
“Aahhh,”
A moan escaped my mouth when Ericson placed his lips on my neck.
“Do you want to see how beautiful our mark on your body is?” He whispered, nibbling on my earlobe, and my pupils dilated.
Right.
We didn't just mate last night. They marked me.
I pushed the two of them, getting down from the bed, and rushed to the bathroom to see the mark.
To say I was surprised would be an understatement.
On both of my necks, two black werewolves rested. However, that wasn't the only thing. Around the two black werewolves was a purple and white smoke-like substance that revolved around the moon in the background.
“Is it normal?” I asked Dylan who followed me into the bathroom.
He examined my mark for some time before hugging me from behind, our naked bodies in the mirror, making my cheeks turn red.
“Nothing with you is normal, baby. We knew what a mate bond, mate attraction feels like, but you have smitten us to the core of our very existence,” He groaned in my ears.
I smiled at his flirtatious words and shook my head.
After coaxing them for a good ten minutes, because I needed to wash and I wanted to do it alone, I finally got some time to myself.
Once the door closed, I looked at my body, biting my bottom lip as I noticed it adorned by various bite marks around my chest, my abdomen, and even close to my…
The best part was that I wasn't the only one with such marks.
The wild night left all three of us wounded in a good way.
After washing and dressing in a sundress, since most of my marks were healed, I strangely walked to the dining room, lured by Ericson's good cooking.
“You are here,” Dylan said, walking to me and about to hug me, when I suddenly felt frozen in my place.
‘Fuhrerin, you have a duty towards us,’
‘Why have you forgotten about where you belong?’
‘We need your assistance,’
‘It’s about time you return to the place that belongs to you,’
‘Staying among strangers is only going to hurt you more. They are not yours. They aren't your family.’
‘Your real family resides here. There's so much you don't know about yourself, about the world,’
‘Are you ready to push it all away for some momentary pleasure?’
‘The twin alphas are nothing. They’ll only harm you. They can never protect you from harm like I can. We adore you, Füherin.’
‘You either come here voluntarily, or the next time, I won't just leave you to another werewolf, I'll bring you back. And at that time, I promise, you won't see those werewolves again.’
“Angelica!”
My body jolted awake when someone shook me with force.
I looked at Dylan and Ericson, who were looking at me with concerned expressions.
“What happened? One moment you entered the hall, and the other moment you completely bailed on us. Your eyes went hollow as if you weren't even here. What is going on?” Dylan asked.
I gulped and looked around.
I was still here, in the same house, in the same dining room. Then how was it possible?
“Did you guys hear anything?” I asked them.
They shook their heads in denial, and it made me even more weirded out.
How was it possible that only I could hear those words? Were they even real, or did I just imagine those things?
I was about to ask them if someone could put words in my head since they knew more about supernatural things, more than I do, at least, but before I could say anything, Zishan rushed inside the hall.
“I apologise for the interruption, sir. You warned us, but this is important,” He said and placed a letter before us on the table.
We walked to the table and read the letter.
“HAPPY AFTER KILLING MY MEN? I WONDER IF YOU'LL BE HAPPY SEEING THIS,”
The letter said.
I looked at Zishan, my heart telling me it was something bad.
“We have received decapitated heads of women, sir. Our she-wolves that were working outside,” Zishan said.
The air stilled.
I could feel the anger brewing in their bodies, as well as my own, and my body started to tremble with rage that wasn't my own.
I looked at Ericsson. Before I could say a word, the twin alphas left the house, making me bite my lips in sadness.
Was this because of me? Did those women lose their lives because of me? I wondered, feeling helpless and full of hatred towards that rogue leader, Keith.
