Chapter 40

Chapter 40
Olivia's P.O.V:

I turned off the light accidentally and when I was trying to turn it on again it wasn't working.

I tried a few more times but it still didn't work. My hands started trembling as the darkness was giving me shiver. It was like it will consume me at any minute.

"Dad.?" I cried as everything around me was dark.

I panicked because of my fear of darkness. I started running here and there in the room trying to find a trace of light.

Suddenly my back hit a table and the vase on it fell breaking into pieces.

The whole room fell completely silent and my heart started banging against my chest.

I hugged my knees and started crying.

Just in a few seconds, my door flung open.

"Olivia." Dad's voice made me smile and I looked at the door.

It was dark, I was about to hide my face again but dad pressed the switch of the other light about which I had completely forgotten just because of my extreme anxiousness.

"Dad." I cried and ran into his arms.

Dad quickly picked me up.

"Dad, it was all dark. I would've died ." I cried thinking about the event again.

Darkness always terrifies me.

"No princess. You wouldn't die." Dad patted my head and rubbed my back.

Slowly my cries stopped.

"Okay, now?" Dad smiled wiping the remaining tears and I nodded.

Dad shook his head chuckling and He made me sit on the bed and sat on his knees in front of me then he took my small hands in his big ones.

"Princess, you can't be so scared of little things. You're my princess but at the same time you have to be a warrior in your life." Dad said.

"But dad, the darkness was terrifying. It was like it would take me with it." I said with my wide eyes and dad chuckled.

"Princess, you have to consider these things less scary. I know you're too young to understand all these but you have to understand from now. It'll make you stronger because you're my strong baby, ain't you?" Dad asked smiling and I nodded still confused about what is exactly talking about.

Dad understood my confusion and sat beside me. He placed me on his lap and kissed my cheek.

" you are always going to face thousands of problems, numerous more tough situations, maybe even darkness." Dad said and my eyes became wide with horror.

I was scared of blood and darkness. Even a little bit of any of it is enough to make my heartbeat race to the extreme

" But, one thing you need to understand is that you should never let those things make you weak. You have to be brave and you have to face it. Even it seems unbearable, you should not feel weak or be afraid. " Dad caressed my cheeks.

"But dad how do I control my fear? Even a little bit of darkness makes my heart bang Against my chest.." I pouted because I was angry at myself for being scared of little things.

"You get scared because you consider even small things as a big matter. You need to see things small when it's about your fear. Consider the things you fear small that's how it's going to make you the stronger version of yourself." Dad said with a smile.

"What if it's causing me so much pain?" I asked and dad smiled again.

"You have to have the ability to bear the pain. You have to be strong and brave. Nothing should scare you and nothing should be able to break you completely. even if the pain breaks you completely there will always be small pieces left and you can mend yourself again by collecting those pieces. We'll have challenges and difficulties, some difficulties will be so much that we might think that we have lost but no, there's always hope left. Even there's a little bit of chance we should fight for it." Dad said.

I nodded and dad continued, " see if you didn't take the darkness as a big matter it wouldn't be able to scare you. What we fear scares us more and if we tell ourselves that it is not a thing to be afraid of it'll slowly start to lose its effect on us. It goes for everything, everyone. Whether it's a situation or a person. If a person knows your fear they would use it against you. So our motive should be not to let our fear tame us. No matter what we should never give up. Even if we fear the thing most, we should keep fighting. There's always a way of winning hidden so giving up is never the right decision. " Dad said and kissed my forehead.

I woke up gasping for air, and my breathing extremely uneven. Sweat was covering my whole body and a little ray of sun was coming from the gap of the curtain.

I just saw what my dad said in the past.

Tears formed my eyes. How my dad always used to save me from darkness, how he used to take care of me, thinking about those moments breaks my heart.

The person who used to give me piggyback rides was burned in Infront of me but I couldn't do anything. He was trapped, he couldn't shift, how helpless he might have felt! How much pain the fire might have caused him. How much pain he must have borne when he turned into nothing but ashes.

The Gamma killed him and now he wanted to do the same to me. He wants to kill me by making the go triplets against me.

But, no. I won't let this happen. No matter what I won't give up.

He thinks that if the triplets torture me I'll be weak, the triplets think that marking me would be my defeat but now I won't let them succeed.

My weakness is going to be my power now. I'll turn my weakness into my strength. I won't let this mark affect me and if this means challenging the biggest bond, the mate bond after the mark. I'm ready.

Gamma will pay and his companions will also pay, anyone coming in my path will be removed. They will be removed even if it includes hurting my own mates.

Tables will turn, I'll make sure of that. Gamma's games would be revealed, triplets would get their punishment for not trusting me, for hurting me to the extreme, for making me feel miserable, for every invisible wound they gave me, every person behind this conspiracy would be punished for their deeds.

"I promise you Aunty, I promise you dad. The person behind this won't get away. The person behind your murder won't get away aunty. I promise. " I said and wiped my tears.

Let the actual fight began.
