Chapter 79

It was a Saturday and Cage was at home, going through some assignments for his online class. He had been making progress, being as smart as he was. He was even a top student and his first exam was in a few weeks. He was going to visit the school in person for the exams. Cage wasn't feeling anxious about the exam, he anticipated it.

After a while, he lost interest in the assignment, feeling a bit sick. He decided to clear his head by taking a short walk around the neighborhood. He took his jacket off the rack and his wallet from the county and then headed out.

He had only walked for a while when his stomach started to grumble. He decided to satisfy his urge by going into the cafe nearby and buying himself a snack. He made his way in and walked to the counter where most of the snacks were displayed.

“Good day sir. How can I help you?” The attendant asked, wearing a big smile.

Cage stared at the snacks, finding it hard to decide on what to pick. He didn't want to waste the nice lady's time so he decided to just pick anything.

“I'll have these cookies over here.” He pointed and the attendant nodded.

“Do you want the medium sized pack or the large pack?”

“Medium sized please.” He responded happily.

The attendant packaged it for him and he paid before turning to leave with his cookies.

While making his way to the exit, he met the gaze of a beautiful lady sitting at the far end of the cafe. It was Mira and she waved at him, inviting him to come and sit with her but he looked away immediately and walked out in a rush.

“Cage! Wait up! Cage!”

He heard footsteps running behind him but refused to turn, determined to get away from her. Mira didn't give up either. She ran towards him and caught up with him, tugging on his jacket.

“Cage! Please!” She panted and he finally stopped walking and turned around.

“What do you want?” He asked, glaring at her.

“Oh my gosh. Is that the way you say hi to a friend?” Mira asked, wrapping her hair around her finger.

“Friend?” Cage scoffed, visibly annoyed.

“Don't get ahead of yourself. What are you even doing here? I walk around this neighborhood a lot and I've never seen you here before! Are you stalking me Mira?” Cage questioned, his piercing gaze made Mira roll her eyes, she wondered why he was so uptight.

“Jeez.. Mr detective.”

“Mira!”

“Alright, fine.” She sighed deeply. “Maybe I am stalking you but it's for a good reason!”

“What good reason? Mira, you're giving me every reason to believe that you are a serial killer.” Cage said, folding his arms and waiting for her answer.

“I'm not a serial killer, Cage. I just… I really like you and I wanted to..”

“Just stop! You said it was a one time thing! I wasn't supposed to see you again so why are you here? And you better tell me the truth!” Cage yelled at her.

He wasn't even mad at her, he was mad at himself, mad at how he lost all his senses when she was around. He couldn't even focus whenever he stared into her deep honey brown eyes, it was like she had hypnotized him.

“The truth is that I really like you, Cage! I want to have something meaningful and special with you. Do you want to tell me that you felt nothing last night? Didn't you feel the bond between us?” Mira asked, caressing his arm.

Cage withdrew from her touch and shook his head, still maintaining the stern expression on his face.

“What we had was a one night stand, Mira. There was absolutely nothing special and I felt nothing. Stay away from me and just go back to where you came from.” He groaned, getting sick and tired of the back and forth.

Mira felt hurt by his words, she really wasn't expecting him to be so blunt and harsh. She had been watching him two months prior to the night they had spent together and developed a soft spot for him. She didn't want to do what she had done to him but she was left helpless.

“Cage.. how can you say that to me?” She sniffed, blinking her tears away. Cage felt bad but was determined not to let his guard down again.

“Stop acting like you're hurt Mira, I know you aren't. Just stay the hell away from me, if you don't, I'll make sure to get you arrested. Get that into your head!”

Mira suppressed her tears.

“I will leave Cage but Mira Thompson doesn't give up that easily. I'm determined to win your love and that's exactly what I'm going to do.” She grinned. She took the packet of cookies he was holding and took two cookies out of it before handing it back to him.

“See you around Cage.” She turned and went back into the cafe.

Cage was left wondering what kind of a woman she was. Her courage was something else and the way she had such a huge effect on him was something he couldn't fathom.

He just sighed, rubbed his eyes and started walking back home, turning back at intervals to make sure that she wasn't following him.

“Have you deleted the video?” Mira asked, staring at the man sitting on her bed who smirked at her.

“Yes I have, you don't have to worry princess.” He answered. She demanded for evidence and he let her go through his phone. When she was satisfied, she handed the phone back to him and then grinned.

“Now I'm in charge.” She said,

“If you want what you came here for, you must satisfy me.” She pushed him down on the bed and started to kiss him. He grabbed her and made her lie on her back.

He whipped out his dick without delay and they had rough sex. Mira thought about Cage throughout, no one has ever satisfied her like he did.

After they both climaxed, she opened her purse and gave him a hard drive. She felt bad doing it but she had to keep to her own end of the deal.

“Good job Mira.” The man smiled triumphantly.

“Let the drama begin.”
