“Ok have you made a list of who is the best in the shooting?”
“Yes, I have also had Kieran making a note of the best hand combat fighters. I want the teams spilt into five groups. The first group will be snipers. The second will be the fighters in the field. The third will be witches who can use their powers to fight. The fourth will be witches who can use their powers to protect, and the last group will be our medical team”
“Sounds good to me boss, but I thought that we only had three witches”
“Yeah, so did I but no we have a few”
”Sweet are you going to read out the groups or do you want me to?”
“I am going to do this as I will be going back to the commander role again. You are back to being a team leader Jess. I need you out there as you are our best solder”
“Understood boss. I would have been shitty if you had made me stand on the side lines”
“That’s an understatement. Ok come on I want you to sit with your group when we get inside”
“Yes Sir” I stood to attention and saluted him before I ran off to sit with my team.
“Hey, why are you sitting with us already? Are we not having a speech this morning?” Amber smiled as she fixed a broken nail with her mind.
“Na I am been demoted back to team leader. John is taking over as the big man again now”
“Ok this is not a good sign then. How long do we have before they arrive?”
“They will be here in 57 hours. We will be heading out after breakfast”

I did not get a chance to reply as John asked for everyone’s attention.
“Hi, I am now taking over from Jess as we are about to go to war, and we need her as a solder” I would like you all to stand up please. We are now going to seat you into five groups. Can you please move the table so that they are in five groups. Two of the groups only need one table each. The next group needs two tables. Then the last two need to nine table each so you will need to grab a table from the back” He waited until all the tables had been moved before he carried on “Ok now I am going to call out the people who will be in the first group. This group is for witches who can use their magic offensively. These witches will be on the battlefield” John read off the names off the pad in front of him. Amber, Christina and Paul had all made this team.
I watched as the witches all got up and walked over to sit at the first table. I was shocked that John had managed to find twenty offensive magic witches while watching them train.
“Ok now the next table is for the witches who can use protection magic. When I call your name can you please go and sit at the second table. You will not be on the battlefield. You will be sat around the outskirts protecting everyone” He looked back at his list and read off another twenty names. My mum was part of this team as I knew that she would be. “Ok the third team will be the medic team. You will be responsible for healing anyone who gets inured in battle. We will set up a camp just outside where the battle will take place. This is where you will be positioned. If too many solders get injured and we get low on men, you will be called in to fight” This team had forty people, and he called out all of the names. I was glad when he called out my dad’s name. I did not want mum or dad in the main battle. “The next group will be guns men. Half of you will be snipers and the other half will have pistols that you will take on to the battlefield” Justin was in this group. I hoped that he would get a sniper job but knew that he would fight that order as he would want to be out there on the field. “The remainder of you will be in the last group. You will all be fighters using hand to hand combat. You will all be provided with knifes” It was no surprise that Kieran, Hayley, Oscar, Nick and I where on this team. The aliens do not have weapons. They have no idea that we will be ready and waiting for them to arrive. We were lucky enough to encounter a renegade. I would like you all to meet Grantan. He was with the first group of aliens, but he did not like what they were doing and liked the look of our country so decided to stay. He is still linked so the minds of the attackers and he has been providing is with all the information that we need. He is going to lead us to the place where they are going to land, and we will set up camp and wait”
I raised my hand
“Yes Jess”
“How can we trust him? This could all be a trap. How easy will it be for them to if we are waiting for them in one place and they come and attack and take all the woman in another place?”
“The women will be well hidden just in case that does happen”
“Good” I slumped back in my car still unhappy that we were relying on the help of an alien.
“Now I want all of you to go back to your rooms and pack your bags. As you walk out you will see packs lined up. There is a sign in front of each line of packs. This state’s what group the packs are for. When you find the line of packs that you are in, I want you to look down that line until you get to the pack with your name on it. For those of you that are guns men this is where you will find out if you are a sniper or if you will be in the field. Your gun will be with your pack. Your guns will not be loaded. The ammunition for your gun is in your packs. You will not be loading your guns until I tell you to. Anyone who loaded their gun before they are advised will be off the mission and sent home. Is this understood?”
