Playing Alucard

Playing Alucard
Alea's POV

It was a day to the banquet. I had truly been starved for a whole day and was still in the process of being starved.

Dera came in earlier, smiling at me as her hand caressed my skin which had already gone pale.

I had become weak, so weak I could barely say a word to her. Even though I didn't go through any torture, the suffocation of the room and the starving was enough to make me weak.

She had told me that Alucard would be here to see me soon. My face twitched in fear of having to see Alucard in this situation where I couldn't use my power.

When Dera left, I smiled to myself. That was a mere show, I wasn't scared of Alucard whether my power was intact or not.

I could see from the crack in the wall that it was night time and I could hear drum sounds coming from every corner of the area. It was banquet time, I knew it.

The time Alucard would need me. She had used the banquet as nothing but a disguise to call out the demon wolf king.

Thinking about this, the door opened and it revealed the very person I despised the most at the moment.

Alucard.

She smirked, walking closer to me. I flinched, my hands trembling in the place they were chained. She saw that reaction of mine and that made her let out a laugh.

“Don't be scared, darling. I only need your cooperation and I won't hurt you” She said, but instead of listening to her and doing what she wants, I scoffed.

“Just like you asked for my mother's cooperation and didn't hurt me or her?” I asked. I felt like it was the right time to talk about my mother.

Alucard's gaze didn't darken like I had expected it to, instead she was amused at how bold I was considering the fact that I'm supposed to be begging for my life.

“You don't think I killed your mother, did you?” She asked and my eyes widened, wanting to hear more. By chance, just by chance, my mother could be alive.

“I didn't kill her, I let her go with you. I just didn't understand how she'd lost you” she said, and even though everything in me didn't believe her, I wanted to hear more if she still had more to spill about the woman who had given birth to me.

“I promised your mother I'd let her go just like I'm saying to you right now. I kept my promise then, and nothing would change that now too” She said and I couldn't hold back a laugh.

She looked at me, eyes blaring with fury.

“So what? I'm supposed to beg for your mercy now?” I asked, staring at her with disgust. She must have expected me to think that it's over for me and I would have no choice but do what she requires of me.

“Look. My people will come here. They will save me, and when they do, you will be thrown into hell. Sealed into darkness together with the demon wolf king” I seethed and she looked at me for a while before she burst into laughter.

“Are you being serious right now?” She asked, looking at me like I was making no sense.

“You don't think I will leave your camp alone if I notice then making unusual moves?” She asked, and my eyes widened, knowing she had gotten to the refugee camp. The refugee camp must be getting attacked at the moment.

She laughed at the surprised look on my face and placed a hand on my shoulder.

“It's over for you, darling” She said and I stared at her, my gaze laced with venom. “I've taken your man. Taken the people you might now be seeing as your family and will soon take your life. Then I will own the world and rule it with the demon wolf king who would stop at nothing to protect me and the throne I have made for him” She explained, giving me a detailed explanation about her plan which I've already made a guess about since three days ago.

“No Alucard. It's not over” I smiled and then wriggled my wrists out of the chain cuffs.

Alucard stepped back, her eyes widening in shock.

“How….” She was so shocked that she couldn't complete her sentence.

I stepped closer to her, massaging my arms as I took threatening steps towards her.

“You know? You should have trained Dera better, she isn't good at acting” I smiled.

Alucard's eyes widened in shock as she realized that I had known that this was a trap and I had willingly walked into it. I'm sure the one thing she isn't sure about right now is why I had done that.

“She made it so obvious that I knew at first glance that she was there not as my long lost cousin, but as someone who was willing to take me down with you” I explained, going into the details about how she had hugged me and how I had smelt Alucard on her.

Alucard's fortress had this peculiar scent I got off my head when I left there but when Dera appeared, the scent was back on Dera.

Spying on her for two days, I was able to confirm that she truly was a spy. I explained these to Alucard who seemed shocked beyond control and then she came back to her senses.

“The refugee camp….” She stuttered to herself and I mouthed an ohh

“My people already know about this and soon enough, they will be here to take over this place after they've dealt with the people you sent over to them” I smiled.

We had a thorough plan and they knew they were supposed to be prepared for a sudden attack from Alucard any moment from the time I left with Dera.

I knew they wouldn't fail me. They wouldn't get themselves killed by not preparing. They had so much confidence in themselves and I have that much in them also.

Someone ran in panting and only after she was in the room did I realize that it was Dera.

“Boss” She panted, “We have a problem. The banquet….” She stuttered and I smiled to myself.

They were here.
