Chapter 57:That woman, there's no one else like her in his mind
"Boss, boss, have mercy!"
Mark came in just in time to see one of William's hands on Sophia's shoulder, and Mark's legs almost went weak with fear, thinking William was going to make a move on the "fan girl" again.
Sophia recognized him, "You're Mark?"
There was little difference between the photo and the man, but Sophia subconsciously confirmed it.
"Tell me what you want, but in this case, you're at fault too, so I'd better warn you, you'd better not go too far." Mark calmed down and took on his aura of being a professional agent.
Sophia listened in bewilderment as she asked William, "What is he talking about?"
"He thinks you're a fan who broke into my room in the middle of the night and thinks I gave you this bruise." William said before he himself couldn't help but lose his smile and shake his head.
In a way, Mark, who was usually shrewd, was actually often foolish in life.
Hearing William's words, Mark blurted out, "Isn't it?"
William shook his head, "No."
"Then, then who are you? Where did you come from? Why were you in my boss's room in the middle of the night?" Realizing it was a misunderstanding, Mark splits his head at Sophia and interrogates her.
William's brows furrowed slightly, "Mark, watch your attitude."
"Boss, I'm wrong!" Mark conceded in a second.
Although William was usually very good at talking, Mark, who worked beside him, knew him very well, usually good at talking, but once he frowned, Mark was afraid.
I don't know why, but it's like he has this ability to make people afraid of him, and it boils down to this: inviolability.
Sophia had kinda mixed feelings when she saw Mark.
Although she didn't go to his funeral, she saw his brother sobbing uncontrollably while holding his urn.
The old man's hobbling back is still fresh in her mind, and the man in the ashes is standing here safe and sound at the moment.
Such a living person, Sophia is really hard to hook him up with that corpse.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Mark noticed the way Sophia was looking at him, a hint of sadness, and a hint of pity.
Not really, he'd just spoken a little louder, was the boss going to get him killed?
William noticed it too, and a strange, deep light crossed the bottom of his eyes.
"You, behave yourself!"
Sophia could see what he was thinking and simply went along with his words, in a tone that was pretending to be serious, but was actually joking.
Mark gave a bitter expression, these people just knew how to bully him!
Sophia had just woken up, William didn't chat with her for too long in order to let her rest more, and took Mark, who still couldn't get answers to his questions, out with him.
After going out, Mark couldn't wait to ask William: "Boss, what the hell is she?"
When Mark asked this question, Victor was still sitting on the sofa, also waiting for an explanation from William.
William's eyes swept over the two men, knowing that they wouldn't rest until he gave an explanation, so he said, "Her name is Sophia, and she's a very important person to me, and as for how important-"
William said pausing for a moment before continuing, "It's how my well being is nothing compared to hers."
Mark froze, for him to make that analogy meant that the woman, in his mind, was unrivaled.
"So where does she live? What kind of work does she do? And is she, well, trustworthy?"
Considering everything, Mark felt the need to investigate this Sophia woman.
William only had one thing to say: "None of you can ask about her personal affairs, and in the future, she will live with me."
"What!" Mark was shocked, living together? This is reported by the media, that's not going to be good!
As if she could tell what he was thinking, William walked over and patted him on the shoulder, gave him a slight smile and said, "So, I still need to trouble you, pay more attention, if she is secretly photographed by the media, you can either clean up the mess or, pack up your things."
"Pack up for what?" Mark had a bad feeling.
William gently spat out two words, "Walk away."
Mark covered his chest, made an expression of vomiting blood, and said in a very theatrical manner, "Wow, boss, you're so mean!"
William then went ahead and made a few phone calls because he had things to do.
Only after William left, Mark sneakily walked over to sit next to Victor and said to him with an expression of chatting gossip, "Dr. Sinclair, what do you think, what exactly is the relationship between my boss and that woman?"
"All I know is that that woman's life is more important than your boss's life."
"Who said that?" Mark was the first to be unconvinced!
Victor : "Your boss."
"Oh, then pretend I didn't say anything just now." Mark surrendered decisively.
But he thought about it carefully and still felt that there was something wrong!
Although he had known William for a short time, it had been three years, and he knew more or less everything about William's past.
But only this woman called Sophia, he had never heard of, much less heard William mention.
It was as if she had appeared out of thin air!
"Dr. Sinclair, when you say there's a possibility, it's just a possibility, and it doesn't have to be right." Mark repeated until Victor ran out of patience and told him to just do it, just say it!
Only then did Mark sneak up on him, lowering his voice and saying, "This woman, is there a possibility that she is my boss's first love?"
"It is possible." Victor did not refute.
Mark was instantly energized by the recognition and said excitedly, "Right right right! You also think what I said makes sense, so is it possible that this woman abandoned our boss in the first place, and now that she knows that he's famous, she came back to look for him!"
Victor's expression got weirder and weirder the more he listened, why was this going more and more off course?
"Also, wasn't she injured all over? Do you think she could be a gambler who was being chased by loan sharks because of her debts, so after knowing where the boss lives, she came to him in the middle of the night, feigning pity to gain sympathy, she's thinking about our boss's money!" The more Mark said, the more it made sense, and that's why William didn't let them pursue it.
Yes, it had to be!
"Mark, I think, you'd better ask the person in question, I'm impressed with your brain." Victor kindly reminded him.
Mark bristled, "I asked ah, did my boss say? No need to guess, it must be so!"
Victor's reminder was ineffective, so he just let him go.
Mark was outraged, he felt that he was given a very important mission, that is, to save the lost boys!
First love, for every man is very important, especially for someone like his boss who is faithful to love, when that woman asks him for money, he will definitely give it!
This is not good!
So, Mark decided, once he found out that this woman started to ask William for money, even if he turned against William, he couldn't stand by and watch him being cheated by a woman who cheated him out of his money and feelings!
