Chapter 64 Stop Watching At Once!
Chapter Sixty-Five
“Argh!”
Clara yelled in shock and pain as her head was thrown to the side with the force of Aria’s slap.
“Mother!” Selena cried out in concern as she rushed to help her mother. She turned to Clara and stomped her feet like a spoilt child, “Aria Beaumont! How dare you hit mom…Argh!”
The words were barely out of her own mouth before she received a slap of her own.
This slaps made the Sanders family jerk with fear, and they huddled together, giving each other uncertain looks.
It did seem like this Aria Beaumont was not someone to be trifled with. She just delivered a slap to her stepmother and stepsister at the same time, to defend her mother in law.
If Tori was to ever marry into the family, she would have a hard time trying to steal the affections of the Graves family.
Not with such a tough competition like this Aria Beaumont.
After receiving a slap, Selena stumbled backwards, nearly toppling over her own mother.
The two women held each other, breathing hard and glaring at Aria with faces red with embarrassment and anger.
Clara held her reddened cheek and turned slowly to look at Aria, “You…You…you dare to slap me? I’m your mother!…”
“You’re not my mother!” Aria shot back at her, her eyes flashing like lightning, “My mother would never be this uncouth and senseless!”
Katrina Vaughn, who had been Elara’s real mother, would never stoop so low to be found in the company of women like Clara. She was smart, composed, elegant and one of the top classiest women in Crestmont before her demise.
Elara had not met Isabella Beaumont, but from the fragments of memories she was getting from being in Aria’s body, she knew without a doubt, that Isabella Beaumont was a hundred times more elegant and mannered than Clara.
So Clara was delusional to think that she would ever be the same as those women, worthy to be called her mother.
Aria glared at the cowering woman before her, and hissed, “The next time you call yourself my mother, is the day you die!”
She looked to George as she spoke those words, but George only cleared his throat ominously and turned away.
Aria scoffed, disgusted by the man’s attitude as much as she was by his wife.
Of course, George would not have anything to say at this moment.
Clara had insulted a woman of such caliber and status as Madam Graces. If anything, she ought to know there would be repercussions.
Well, he didn’t want to be a part of the repercussions.
Although he did not like how boldly Aria was declaring her stance, but there was nothing he could do about it at the moment.
She obviously had the protection and affection of the Graves family, because none of them said anything when she slapped Clara.
Clara herself, could not say anything anymore. She only held her daughter and her reddened cheek, while they both gave Aria twin looks of blazing hatred.
Aria could not care less for their devilish looks. She was not going to stand by and watch these useless women insult her mother-in-law and the mother of her husband.
Madam Graves heart warmed all over at Aria’s defense of her. Right then and there, she made the decision that Aria would be her one and only daughter in law. No other woman will be taking her place in the Graves family.
Infact at this moment, her word was the standard at the Graves family home.
Even Lucian was giving Aria a look of pure adoration as she walked back to his side.
Tori didn’t fail to catch that look and she gritted her teeth in anger.
Her aunt Clara had successfully managed to take away all the attention from her, and it seemed like everyone had forgotten about her case.
“No, I have to return to being the center of attraction!” She thought determinedly to herself, “I must become Lucian Graves wife today, whether he likes it or not!”
Suddenly, she gave an enormous sob, and covered her face with her palms, “This is all my fault,” she sobbed, “I’m breaking the family apart! If it’s not for fighting for my right, Aunt Clara would not be disrespected like this!”
“Oh shut the fuck up, bitch!” Aria shot back at her coldly, “She first insulted our Madam Graves,” she scoffed at Tori’s fake attitude, “Is this the kind of character you want to take into the Graves Family, defending your aunt against your mother-in-law?”
At the mention of “mother-in-law”, both Lucian and Madam Graves frowned with displeasure at Aria.
They do not wish her using those terms with them, even if it was only a joke and she was mocking Tori.
Tori’s eyes widened with shock at the way Aria had twisted her words, “What?!…no!…Thats not what I am saying! why are you doing this to me?!”
Aria shook her head, making a tsking sound with her tongue, “It’s not a virtuous daughter-in-law character, my dear.” She uttered as she walked towards the huge TV that was mounted on the wall right behind them.
She turned and smiled slyly at Tori, “But do not worry. You will not even get the chance to be daughter-in-law. Let’s get this over once and for all, shall we?”
As she spoke, she pointed the TV remote at the screen and a recording started playing.
It was a recording of what had actually happened in the bedroom earlier. The entire sitting room fell silent, as everyone watched with eyes and mouth open in shock.
They saw Tori smash the vase and tear her clothes by herself, even slapping herself, then screaming hysterically for help.
All the while, Lucian remained in his position without touching her or hitting her.
Tori was horrified.
She rushed towards the TV, waving her arms as if she could block the huge screen with the tiny limbs.
“Stop! Stop watching at once! Aria Beaumont, Stop!”
