Chapter 25: The grand plan
In Kaelen's study, the air was tense . He sat upright as he listened to his beta fill him in on what he had instructed him to do. The more the beta went on, the deeper Kaelen's frown became. His hand beneath the table clenched into a fist. No one saw that.
"So, you mean to say you haven't located their bodies no matter how much you searched?" Kaelen asked slowly. But anyone who knew him could tell that he was extremely angry at that moment. His beta was no exception. He couldn't help but tremble.
"Yes, sir." The beta, despite his fear, still answered him respectfully. He didn't understand why the alpha, Kaelen, had become irritable since Myra's parents had disappeared. He couldn't guess what thoughts were running in Kaelen's mind, and he didn't dare to question him. As his loyal dog, he just had to do what he's asked to do, and that's about it. Otherwise, what if he faced his wrath because of disobedience?
"Make sure to find them. It's of uttermost importance." Kaelen commanded coldly. He had to locate the bodies no matter what.
"Yes, sir." The beta nodded and bowed as a sign of respect before leaving. He didn't understand why the alpha insisted on locating their bodies. He didn't tell the beta anything, so he had no idea what was happening. Anyway, since that was his work, he only had to do as instructed, right? He couldn't try prying into things that didn't involve him. With this thought in mind, the beta made a call and instructed the people employed to search for the bodies to continue with the search. The motto was "leave no stone unturned." That's what Kaelen had said earlier.

Kaelen sat on his chair. In his eyes, a storm was brewing. He didn't know when he would explode, but he decided to hold it in for the time being. Only he knew why he was hell-bent on looking for the missing bodies. Without them, he was uncertain whether his grand plan would succeed or not. He never shared with anyone about this plan of his. He planned everything on his own so that things wouldn't go wrong somehow. He didn't trust anyone. No one could trust in the world. He was aware of that notion, which is why he moved on his own. Not even his beta, who was the closest to him, knew of his plan.
Just as he was lost in thought, a beautiful lady with silver hair and dressed in a sexy red gown with black high heels made her way into the study. She was so sexy that Kaelen became entranced the moment he saw her. If Reese was around, he would've been able to recognize her. It was none other than Elena.
"Dear, why do you look so cold? Look, I brought you your favorite coffee. Don't frown, or you won't look handsome anymore." As she said this, Elena placed the coffee on the table and helped smooth out his furrowed brows.
"Elena." Kealen called out before he captured her lips with his. Elena also got carried away, and the two instantly became entangled. They forgot about the coffee on the table and focused on their own pleasures. Kaelen also temporarily put away his worries and decided to indulge in what was before him.
Looking at his intoxicated look, Elena smirked while a mocking glint flashed past her eyes.

Even though Myra wasn't sure who had sent the package, she still stood up and went to check. She believed she would know who had sent when she checked. After reading the address of where the package came from, Myra had a guess, so she signed the book before allowing the delivery man to leave.
"Miss, shall we help you carry these upstairs?" The maid looked at Myra's small frame and the huge boxes that were placed at the doorstep. She couldn't bear the thought of seeing Myra carry all that.
"Sure. Thank you." Myra said. The boxes were indeed too huge, and she had no idea what was inside because they were sealed all over. She planned to take a look once the maids carried them upstairs to her room. Myra followed closely behind as the maids carried the boxes to her room. She went to direct them where to place the boxes. She had a thing for a neat and well arranged room. She didn't like messy places.
After thanking the maids, Myra curiously glanced at the boxes. Her lips twitched. Who on earth would send her so many huge boxes?
But as she slowly opened the boxes, her nonchalant expression suddenly froze, followed by joy. It's not that she couldn't purchase all those, but seeing the computer she liked and the best keyboard she'd loved since she started gaming, her eyes lit up. She never expected someone to notice this. After unpacking everything, she stumbled upon a note. The handwriting was very familiar. She instantly knew who it was. She was so touched that she was speechless for a long time. She didn't know why he was doing that, and she also had no idea if there was a motive for him to do all that. After contemplating for so long, she picked up her phone and debated on whether to call him or just text him. She didn't know which one would look more sincere?
