Chapter 63 - Blood in the wine
**Gora/The Monsters pov**
“So, you’re from Great Falls? That’s an impressive pack I’ve heard” I looked at the she-wolf in front of me as she slowly sipped the overpriced drink I just bought her. We’d been on the road for a few weeks, I’d dragged it out as much as I could by giving the Monster what he wanted, my participation in various blood orgies. But now we were close. The club we were in was a mixed one but felt more like a werewolf den. The occasional human, and some vampires, but definitely ninety percent of the guests were wolves. That was not a problem for me, the last thing I wanted was to run into a sibling from my father’s cluster. I suspected my picture and my scent circulated because I was chased a couple of towns away only a week ago.
“Yes, it’s a good pack to live in.” The woman in front of me answered my question.
“So, are you close with the Alpha and his family?”
“Oh no, or, the whole pack is very familiar but I’m an omega, we don’t hang out much with the higher ranked…but I think Luna wants to change that.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah…she’s not like other Lunars.”
“No? What separates her from them?”
“She is the first.”
“First what? Luna? Sounds like she must be very old then.”
“No, or yes…it’s complicated but the wolf in her is the spirit of the first werewolf, the original one. Aayla, our mother.” I heard the reverence and love in her voice and felt a pang of longing in my chest. I missed my father, and even though I knew I would be punished, probably executed if I returned, I felt it. I could have taken the risk just to be near him for a few minutes.
“I’ve heard the stories about her, not exactly a friend of my kind.”
“No, that’s true, Aayla hated vampires, especially your father, Ambrogio, she tried to kill him several times if the stories are correct, at least she managed to send him to a living hell for a long time…or that’s what the Hags stories tell us” Her words made me clench my fists tightly, I could have ripped her head off right then and there just for the words she uttered.
“But Hope and Luna change all that, the truce is the best thing that’s happened and she and Ambrogio seem to be getting along well, I really hope no one ruins it, personally I prefer when we can all be…friends.” She ran a finger over my chest in a seductive gesture and my hands relaxed a little.
“The Hag?”
“Yes, that is what we call her. She is the pack witch, you know…a hag…”
“Humpback, old cane, crocked nose and warts?” I chuckled at my own questions.
“One would think right!? But no…Zandra, the hag, she is beautiful, powerful and…regent…only her eyes, the wisdom in them tells you she is older than she looks.”
“So, tell me more about your pack, the wolves, not the…witch.” I took one of her long locks and let it slide through my fingers, witches were scary and I wasn’t interested in scarry.
“You’ve probably met some of them, weren’t you in the war against the hunters? When they rescued Hope.” She was right, I was there, but I wasn’t going to say that.
“Unfortunately I wasn’t here at the time, I was still in London and came here to be by my father’s side while he recovered.”
“Oh, I see, but I hear he’s feeling better now?”
“That’s right, or I wouldn’t be here.” I raised my glass a little and we looked into each other’s eyes as we toasted and each took a sip.
“I guess you wouldn’t…you, his so-called children, you are pretty loyal to him right? I mean, we wolves are loyal to our Alpha and Luna too, but as I understand it, you can’t even choose not to be? So…what are you doing here?” I swallowed hard as I tried to hide the reaction to her insult…at least that’s what her words felt like. “*You know she’s right, that’s probably why you’re reacting*” The monster’s voice within me sharpened my senses. I couldn’t lose myself in hurt feelings, then the monster would have what he needed to win this game...whatever that was.
“I thought I’d have a look around before I return to London, now in peacetime there’s so much more to…experience…” I winked at her, moistened my lips, and moved a few inches closer. “*Aww, you stallion, I’m looking forward to feasting on wolf blood tonight!*” The monster within me cheered. “*Believe me, there is nothing that ruins my party mood as much as your voice, so if something is going to happen, please stay in the background, and please, shut the fuck up!*” I growled to him in my head instead of speaking out loud as usual.
“Mmm…have you tasted a wolf before?” She tossed her hair aside and bared her neck. Images of Cathy flashed before my eyes and I bit the inside of my cheeks hard to stay focused.
“I don’t want to lie to you…?.”
“Mandy.”
“Mandy!... Yes, I have had the honor of tasting, with consent of course.”
“Was it…sexual?” How should I answer that? Was it a trap? Did she want to be the only one?
“Both yes and no, I can say that it did not end in ecstasy and we have not seen each other since.” “*Give her your blood! Bite your lip and kiss her! It’s easier if she’s numb!*” I could imagine him, the Monster, a twisted version of myself, standing with the dick in his hand, excited by the thought of emptying a she-wolf. “*We’re not going to kill her! Can you imagine the heat we would get if we killed a wolf!? A wolf from Great Falls nonetheless!*”
“Oh…we can’t have that!… My guess is it was either a rogue or an unranked wolf, not even an omega like me would leave a man unsatisfied and I can’t in good conscience let you walk around with bad experiences with us wolves …let me show you how a night with a real she-wolf should be experienced.” She grabbed my collar and pulled me to her. Her lips were warm and soft and before I could react her tongue was making art in my mouth before nibbling my lip and ending the kiss. It was a good kiss, really good and I felt my blood rush to my nether regions. The desire for a real night with a woman was growing, but it wasn’t going to happen if I let the monster inside of me be present, I needed a plan if this wasn’t going to end in me once again having to hide a body or kill anyone who could identify me. I didn’t want to kill Mandy, she was a young nice if a little willful girl.
“Okay, I bite…where do you want to go? I guess Great Falls isn’t a good idea?”
“Do you have a hotel room nearby?”
“Yes.”
“Then we can go there.”
“Okay…do you want to tell someone? Tell someone where you are?” Please say yes! If the monster knew we could get caught, he should stay away.
“Why?”
“Mandy…have you done this before?”
“Yeah…or, what do you mean? Accompanied by a guy?”
“Followed by a vampire…”
“I don’t think you will hurt me, not more than I ask you to anyway, I know your loyalty to your Father and he has said that no wolves are to be harmed, especially none from Great Falls.” She smiled a little triumphantly and even though she wasn’t wrong, she didn’t know who I was and how the monster inside me loved to defy my Father.
“That’s true...but still, consider it exercise. Whether you’re accompanying a wolf, human, or vampire, always tell someone where you are.” I let my voice grow serious so she would obey. She giggled a bit before turning and calling out to the bartender.
“George! Hey, George!”
“Yes, Miss Mandy?”
“I’m leaving with this nice gentleman tonight, he’s a vampire so if I’m missing tomorrow you know who they’ll be looking for.” She giggled a little and rolled her eyes.
“Good to know Miss Mandy, he’s also on tape if that’s the case, we probably have ten cameras aimed just at this bar.” He chuckled and said goodbye before turning to another guest who was waiting to order. Good, I hope the monster heard everything that was said.
“So, is that enough? Can we go now?” She licked her lips and I put my arm around her waist and pulled her with me in response.
The room I rented was not large, nor was it small or shabby. Mandy walked straight to the minibar, took out two glasses and a small bottle of sparkling wine. She filled the glasses and to my surprise she showed her fangs. Inside me, I could feel the monster’s interest grow. She took my hand and put my index finger in her mouth. She sucked on it hard and her tongue tickled it pleasantly, fuck, I got hard right away. Before released me, she scratched my fingertip against her fang and when the blood became visible, she dripped two drops into one glass. She then did the same thing with her own finger and dropped two drops of her blood into the other glass which she then handed over to me.
“I know your blood works as an intoxicant for us wolves when we are in our human guise, in the right amount of course. Mine probably has no other effect on you than that it gilds the taste of your wine.” She put her glass down without drinking and looked around the room. Her gaze wandered from the window to the bed and it seemed she was pleased with what she saw. After pulling the curtains to prevent anyone from seeing in, how that would be possible when the room was on the top floor of the motel, I dont know... She walked over to the bed. Her fingers caressed the headboard before she gripped it tighter and shook it a little. She giggled sexily when she saw my questioning expression.
“A werewolf and a vampire...you know that requires strong furniture...”
