Chapter 52 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 52 Untitled Chapter
Dark magic? Then they will see what dark magic does to those who are ungrateful.

My eyes snapped wide, shattering the glass windows into pieces. My feet lifted off the floor, and I was floating out of the window before Hans could discover what I was doing.

He screamed my name, but no way, my ears were bleeding from listening to his pleas. I've had enough of their shenanigans, and it's time they realize they've made a huge mistake calling me names.

“There she is!” they screamed, staggering around, falling on each other. “She is a witch!” some of them shouted, their voices echoing in the air like howls.

Being called a witch because I possess a power gifted to me by the moon goddess is the biggest mistake they will make in their life, and I am ready to teach them a lesson not to look down on me.

“You are meant to protect them, Amelia. Do not allow your anger to overwhelm you,” Hans’ voice pierced into my ears, but I blocked it in the wind.

“Now, Amelia, now!” Amy growled through clenched teeth.

I lifted my hands, summoning the power that had gathered in my heart. A heavy wind rose from below, mixed with the powerful mist from my fingers. The blue light in my eyes turned dark, and gradually, even the wind turned black.

“You will learn the hard way, ingrates!” I thundered, and a thunderbolt followed.

Dark clouds gathered, their deep rumble growing louder as the thunderstorm rolled in. Then heavy mist lashed down, knocking all of them down at once. When lightning struck, their howls and groans mixed with the wind filled the entire pack.

“Get that, you idiots!” I growled, then a devilish laugh escaped my lips.

Suddenly, my instinct screamed a warning, and my gaze shifted in the direction I felt the danger. From a distance away, I caught sight of a black object with flickering red eyes propelling towards me. I ducked, and it hit the company building, knocking it down.

“The dark shadows sect!” Amy snarled, “They are here to attack us, Amelia; our anger attracted them!”

And it will send them back. I am not a part of them, and I will not be controlled by them.

I lifted my left hand in the heavy wind, gathered a huge dark mist mixed with thunderstorm, and threw it at the object still hurling from a distance.

A loud shriek followed, and in a few seconds, it stopped, and the object disappeared.

When the sky cleared and the wind calmed down, the groaning of the wolves filled the entire air, deafening and overwhelming. I looked below me and found them all on the floor, rolling in a pool of blood.

My heart plummeted, and fear overtook me.

What have I done?

The sight was so horrible, and tears flowed down my face. As the tears escaped from my eyes, heavy rain pelted against the rooftops, dropping on the ground.

“She is killing us! She is a monster!” they screamed in pain, pointing towards me.

At that moment, I felt my world shattering beneath me. I was meant to protect them, not harm them. Why would I allow anger to overshadow me?

“Stop blaming yourself; you did the right thing!” Amy snapped, but I knew that wasn't the truth. It just had to look like the right thing when my eyes were blinded in fury, but right now that I'm back to my senses, I know it wasn't the right thing to do.

They are in pain, a great pain, and the majority of them are dead. I killed my pack members with what was meant to protect them. My lips twitched, and my body trembled.

I turned towards the window and saw Hans looking at me in anger. His eyes were filled with tears, and his fingers were clenched into a fist. His expression screamed hate, and before it would escape his lips, I would rather go.

I took one last look at the groaning wolves beneath me, glanced at Hans with teary eyes, and with a burst of speed, I flew away.

“Where are we going?” Amy asked, looking back at the Pack. “Far away, Amy, far away!”

“You cannot run away from the Pack; this is where you belong, Amelia. You are their leader, and you must go back to rule them. What happened earlier on wasn't your fault; they pushed you into it. You've done so much for them, yet they refused to acknowledge you as the Alpha. It wasn't your fault that they died; it is theirs. They called you names, they said you are a witch, and they said you possess dark magic. Will you run away and hide under your fur and give them something to say about you? Or you will return to that pack and show them who the leader is?”

Her words hit me, and I paused, floating in the air. What Amy said makes sense. Yes, I am their leader, and I cannot run away because of the mistake I made. Every leader in this kingdom has made one or more mistakes during their reign. And what happened wasn't my fault. I tried to control myself, but they pushed me. They got what they want, and I will not leave!

The Lunskye pack is my home. I cannot leave because of this one mistake. And if I leave, what will become of it? The leaders from the other pack will fight over it and seize it under their command.

I will lose my home; I will lose my leadership. And what will be left for me will be to wander around the kingdom, seeking a dwelling place. I will spend the rest of my life as a low-rank bitch in the packs, and I will be carrying a huge scar of shame around.

My name will be written in the book of history as the female Alpha who wiped out her pack, and that will make future generations be against a female to become an Alpha.

“Come on, Amy, we are going back. I am Alpha Amelia Brook of the Lunskye Pack, the daughter of Alpha Brook and Luna Selena. I am the first female Alpha in this kingdom, and I have come to rule!”
