SHANNICA'S POV
I'm afraid actually, what if I end up falling in love with someone who can't love me back in return? I'm afraid Xander's kindness would confuse my heart, making me want something more.
Upon arriving at the altar, Xander offers his hand and I gladly accepts it.
"You look unbelievably stunning, Shannica." he whispers with a smile on his face.
"You look handsome as well, Xander." I complimented him back.
"Xander Van Lincoln, will you take Shannica Marquis as your wife, will you pledge to share your life openly with her, to speak the truth to her, in love? Will you promise to honor and tenderly care for her, to encourage her fulfillment as an individual through all the changes in your lives?" the priest said.
He looked at me. Blissful. I know this is all part of our act, but his eyes are telling me as if he's sincerity isn't something I should worry about.
A perfect man like him. He almost had everything, who wouldn't dream of him?
"I do." Xander answers without taking off his stares in my eyes.
All eyes on us,
"Shannica Marquis, will you have this man, Mr. Lincoln, to be your wedded husband, to live together in marriage, will you love him, comfort him, honor him, and keep him, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, so long as you both shall live?"
I look at him. I give him a sweet smile and answers,
"I do, Father."
"Let me announce to you the man and wife..." he offers my hand to Xander, "you may kiss your wife." the Priest claims.
Xander started putting down my wedding veil, and started to caress my face.
He leans over and his face is already an inch over from mine. W-Wait... Is he really going to kiss me right now?
I gulp and didn't even move, Xander stops and suddenly,
"Shannica... I will show you how you should properly ask for a kiss." he whispers in my ears. My eyes widened and before I could react, Xander already seals our lips with a kiss.
His lips touched mine. And after a few second he starts moving his lips while my heart is beating so fast. He slowly enters his tongue in my mouth that surprises me...
"U-Uuhmp..." I softly moan and tried to push him but he held my neck and push me more into him that makes our kiss deepens.
Dmn this guy surely is a good kisser....
After a minute I heard the crowd applauding, and finally Xander let go of my lips as we are both gasping, catching our breaths...
"That's how you should properly kiss me next time, Shannica. Got it?" he said in a low voice and smirk at me.
My whole face turn red and I even felt some butterflies in my tummy. Dang, this is not good.. He literally mocked me and did his payback. Ugh!!
" Congratulations on your wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln!"

SIX HOURS LATER
The wedding celebration is almost over, and most of the guest are already bidding goodbye. We are currently at the resort, where Xander rented the whole place for the reception.
"Thank you for coming, Mr. Perez." Xander bids goodbye while his hands are placed on my waist. He literally brings me with him the whole celebration and introduces me to everyone.
My heels are already killing me, and my foot hurts so much. Xenon is also on our side because Xander has been introducing his son to his business partners. I was quite amazed how Xenon formally handled those guys in such a good manner. I am sure he will really become a good chairman soon once he grows up.
While Xander was busy talking to some client, Xenon is right next to me and suddenly yawn. I glance at him and saw the he already look tired.
I tap his shoulder and said, "Are you okay?" I asks.
I got shocked and immediately removed my hand from his shoulder without answering me.
I sigh, "You should take a rest now, Xenon." I proclaims. I look around and look for Glenda,
"Glenda!" I called her. She immediately walk towards our way,
"Yes, Madame?" she formally asks.
"Bring Xenon upstairs, he can rest in my room." I commanded.
"Hey, I'm fine! I don't want to rest!" Xenon hissed.
I bend down a little and look Xenon in the eyes.
"Don't overdo yourself, I know you're already tired Xenon. Don't worry about your Dad, I'll tell him. Alright?" I said to him with a smile.
"Madame's right, young master. Let's go." Glenda convinced the kid. Xenon didn't say anything and just let Glenda lead the way.
Woah. Did Xenon just listened to me?
Well, he might be really tired with all the greetings and stuffs that's why he didn't have any objections.
Aw.. My heels are literally killing me right now.
"Xander, Shannica!" Mr. Lincoln calls the both of us.
Xander and I both went to his side,
"Congratulations again on your wedding. I have prepared a small gift for you two." he said grinning and handed me a small envelope.
"What's this, Dad?" I asks awkwardly. I'm still not even used to call Mr. Lincoln as Dad.
"Open it, dear." he said.
I opened the envelope while Xander is on my side watching me to open the envelope. It's somehow a card...
To my surprised, I saw a gold VIP card from Grand Palacio Hotel, one of the largest and expensive suite hotel in town.
" Tadaaa, do you like it? A one night VIP suite for your honeymoon tonight! Don't worry, this old man here will take of my beloved grandson, Xenon. You two could go and have some fun tonight."
Oh no...
"D-Dad. Uhmm thanks but Shannica and I decided to postpone our honeymoon trip since I still have a lot of things to do in the company. I have an ongoing project that I am working right now so I literally have no time for this." Xander explains awkwardly.
I immediately agrees and nod repeatedly,
"That's right, Dad. I will still work with my resignation and this week is literally so tiring---"
"Oh come on, it's just a night after your wedding. Actually I got all things done already. All are set, so after the ceremony, you two can go to the suite and have fun for the rest of the night!" Mr. Lincoln exclaims in a very excited tone.
I gulp, this isn't what I expected!!!
