SHANNICA'S POV
NEXT MORNING
I yawned. I woke up and open my eyes as I suddenly felt that I'm about to pee.
I stood up to went to the comfort room. I noticed that the sun shining brightly already. After I peed, I went back to the bed and look at the wall clock, it's already 7:00 AM in the morning. I didn't even notice the time since I slept so well the whole night.
I decided to take a quick shower first and wore the extra pajamas that the head maid gave me last night. I dried up my hair before I decided to go out from the room.
The hallway is so quite. Is Xander still sleeping?
I roam around and walk downstairs, and one of the maids who is about to go upstairs look at me and bow down her head a bit,
"Good morning, Madame. Sir Xander is waiting for you at the dining area." she greeted.
So he's awake already?
"O-Okay thanks." I answered.
I continued my way to the dining area, I even got a little confuse where should I go all the way to the dining area.
Luckily I heard utensils noises and followed the sound, after few more steps, I already sighted Xander at the center of the long table.
"G-Good morning." I started talking. Xander glance at my direction and greet me with a smile.
"Good morning, Shannica." he respond.
I smiled back, but my smile faded away when I saw the young kid staring coldly at me, seating in the table.
Xander cleared his throat and look at his son,
"I bet you two already met at my office once. Xenon, I'd like you to officially meet Shannica, she's the woman I'm about to marry, son. And she's going to be your mom." Xander explains to Xenon.
My eyes widen after hearing Xander, how can he said something straightforward in front of the child?
I glance at Xenon, but his cold expression did not even change. Making me nervous than what I was feeling yesterday when I met Mr. Lincoln.
I sigh,
"H-Hi, Xenon." I greeted him with a smile.
"Join us, Shannica." Xander invited me to sit and eat with them.
I nod and sit infront of Xenon, smiling at the kid. But he just stare at me, and drop the spoon and fork he's holding after.
Xenon stood up, "I'm done." he said without getting his cold stare out of me.
Dmn this kid is giving me chills.
"Xenon. Finish your food." Xander uttered in a warning tone.
"I can't, I already lose my appetite." he response and started to turn his back on us.
Oh no. Did I just ruin the mood?
"Xenon!" Xander starts raising his voice to his son.
Xenon did not even flinch and continue walking away, but before leaving the dining area with his nanny, he stopped walking and turn back at our direction.
"And dad, I don't need a mom." He added and roll his eyes on me.
My jaw literally dropped. THAT KID IS GIVING ME GOOSEBUMPS!

(THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V)
3 HOURS BEFORE XANDER AND SHANNICA ARRIVED AT THE MANSION
Xenon was eating dinner alone in the dining area silently. The maids and chef were serving him the foods, and made sure that he will be comfortable with everything.
Timecheck: 7:30 PM
"Please eat some salad, young master." his nanny Glenda offered the salad to Xenon.
They were told by Xander that Xenon's dinner should always be a light meal so the chef make sure that they include salad in his food.
"Where's dad?" Xenon ignored his nanny and instead asks where he's Dad is.
Xander is usually on the way home at 7 PM although they don't eat together for dinner. The only time that they usually eat together in the dining room is breakfast. But sometimes, even breakfast, Xenon failed to have such a proper father-and-son conversation with Xander.
Infront of Xenon is the chef, the head maid Milla, and his nanny Glenda. The three looked at each other before the head maid answers Xenon's questions.
"Sir Xander is going to be late tonight, young master. We were informed that he dropped by at your Grandpa's place." Milla answered.
Xenon stops eating for a while,
'They informed the maids, but not me?' he asks himself in his mind.
With that, Xenon decided to remain silence and continue eating his dinner.
Minutes later, Xenon has just finished his food and went to the sink to wash his hands a bit, but he stops when he overheard a conversation from the two maids at the corner of the kitchen,
"Really? Sir Xander really brought a girl to the former chairman's place?!" the young maid hissed.
"Yes, that's what Paul told me, see that." the other maid answered and Xenon saw the two maid glanced on the phone's screen.
From what the kid remembers, a guy named Paul is one of his Grandpa's butler.
"So it is true that Sir Xander is really considering second marriage right now?" the maid hissed again.
The kid flinch at what he just heard.
'Dad is marrying someone?' he asks himself.
Xander never brought any woman or got into rumors that he is dating anyone even though his wife Arianna died long ago after giving birth to Xenon.
Rumors said that Xander really love Xenon's mom so much. He was miserably for two years after Arianna's death that he even neglected taking care of their son, Xenon.
And Xenon who heard that rumors from the maids the moment he turned five, never cames off his head. He thinks that his Dad, Xander, didn't love him because he's the reason why his Mom died.
After hearing what the maid said, Xenon clenched his fist and throw one glass at the floor that startled almost everyone.
Milla and Glenda rushed over to where Xenon is,
"Y-Young master. What happened? Are you hurt?" Milla asks immediately.
The two maids who are gossiping in the corner looked at Xenon in shocked as they realized that Xenon might heard their conversation. The kid stare at them coldly and look away.
"Sir Xenon, are you hurt somewhere?" his nanny Glenda repeated and bend down to check Xenon's hands and legs if there are any scratch or bruise.
Xenon pull back his hand angrily,
"No. I just slipped my hand." he answered.
He turn his back on them and starts walking away,
"I'm heading back to my room. I don't want any disturbance." the kid added that somehow looks mad.
Glenda and Milla looked at each other because of the young master's sudden moodswing. They both sigh in stress.
