Chapter 67 It's all fake
Chapter 67 It's all fake
Harry's POV
It was 15 hours ago, with me scolding Aria for sneaking the kids over to the very place I had forbidden them to.
The big city and the glass castle. Even if she claims it was just a tour, and they never came close to the castle, I was still reeled with anger.
All I did was give a warning not to yield to kids' demands to see their mother because it's a promise I don't want to break.
Taking them away from there, we were already heading home, when she called, giving us the big news.
Until he comes, like the devil, he is ruining everyone's happiness and now the boys seem to lose faith in their mother, like she has abandoned them.
It's ironic how I came back later, just to see for myself if he had taken her back. Using the backdoor to get in, I was broken with the loud moan I heard.
I just didn't want to believe that sound and drew closely only to find him screwing her on the dining table.
I couldn't see her body fully but her fingers on his back and a side of her toned ass as she bounced.
It didn't look like the sex she was forced into, as she only begged him for more.
My dick shoots out watching how he devours the woman I'd want as mine, the one I'd want to claim and raise a family with.
I clenched my fists and rather than breaking in to stop them, I walked away, devastated.
Arriving at the suite I had booked over the night, I saw the grumpy look on the boys, like they'd fight me.
"You lied to us!" Chris cried, throwing himself to the floor, but Colton was only staring, his eyes heavy.
Hastily, I rushed to Chris, yanking him up from the floor and trying to make him still, but he was writhing and sobbing.
I felt sad too, as I pressed him to my chest, not giving him a chance to break out.
"What happened, Harry?" He questioned acting more responsible and stronger than Chris, who I had cuddled in my arms, while slowly stroking his back.
"Maintenance, they came around and, unfortunately, your mother had to live because of her busy schedule... You know kids, acting takes time and the director governs the crew members like gods," I quickly narrate as Chris' tears soak me.
"I don't believe you, I hate that actor. He took Mom away from us in the name of acting. I hate the director too for employing mom!" Colton bitterly expressed, folding his arms and growling.
"Hey, col, she'd be a celebrity, and you'd be so excited to say, that's mom, guys..."
"I don't want her to be one of those who wouldn't even have time for us!" Chris managed to squeeze out of his lips as he rubbed his face on my chest, panting heavily.
It's my loss, my pain, but then, I was suddenly willing to accept fate. The questions thrown at me were difficult to answer but eventually, I answered them.
They'd believe me because I don't lie to them, but then to some alpha, I'm betraying these boys.
"Come here, Colton," I whispered, stretching a hand at him and he pulled himself with difficulty towards me.
"Don't hate anyone dear, everyone has their reasons and you'd like that actor if you get to know him," I teased, placing a faint smile.
"Can we at least see her? Just once?" Chris asked, tilting his head to look at me and scoffed.
"You will, I promise you that," I assured, drawing Colton in for an embrace.
"Harry, I actually met with the actor," Chris suddenly mutters as his attention was drawn to the buttons on my shirt.
His fingers were playing with it.
Damn it!
"What? Where?" I asked, tensed and widening my eyes at him. He hadn't met my gaze as he inhaled softly.
"Yesterday, at the crosswalk, I gave him a lollipop just so he let me see more."
Heat pumps inside me as Colton and I stared at him like a total stranger. My hands were still on the small of their back, but my mind was no longer there.
I hope this hasn't resulted in any discoveries! What if he knows?
"Did you mention her name?" I asked anxiously, but then I didn't want to scare the child and listened to every detail.
"No, Aria took me away, but Harry, I noticed something," he pressed on, and Colton sneezed, interrupting his conversation.
We both glanced at him as he waved his tiny hands in an apology and all attention was thrown to Chris again.
"He's sick in the head."
Of course, everyone knows he's a psychopath.
"Like he's mad?" Colton asked for clarification and I fluttered my eyes. Saying yes will only leave the kids in a panic that their mother might be in danger.
"No, he's not. I think it's the role he has to play."
"Will he hurt Mom?" Colton asked more concerned, and I shook my head to deny it while swallowing hard.
"No, no, it's all fake," I responded again with a bright look, but Chris was suddenly gawking at me like he could read the lies written on my face.
"There's something in his head, he is sick, Harry," he buttresses more, and I grew confused.
I get he's insulting Damien out of frustration. Colton yawned and chuckled, supporting Chris, but I stopped them.
"Hey, Chris, you shouldn't say that about someone just because you're annoyed with the person," I corrected, but Chris seemed restless as he broke out of the bond we'd created.
"No! Something is eating him up," Chris petitioned on top of his lungs, but I only saw him wailing.
"Yeah, like an explosive device in his head," Colton interjected, chuckling more, but he stopped. My eyes traced his.
I was getting worried because he wouldn't stop saying that, but once again, I'd say he's just cussing at Damien for taking Rosie away.
