It was almost Christmas, their first together, and Hazel couldn’t wait to surprise Rhett with the gifts she got him. They were simple but she knew he would love them. She gasped and began to breathe heavily as she truned around. Her eyes locked with the man in front of her.

Hazel put both her hands up and said, “Just stop... now. I don’t know what you and that mother of yours have planned but you can stop. You need to leave and go back to whatever place you came from. You can’t be here. Rhett will kill you.”

“He can try,” Ryan said as he came closer to Hazel. “You're mine too Hazel. I have just as much right to you. He may not like it, but the three of us are just going to have to work this out.”

Hazel laughed, “I’m not a fucking toy. I decided who I belong to and this pussy belongs to Rhett.”

“Not once I’m done with it Hazel,” Ryan said as he pushed against her onto the car. Hazel gasped and her bite mark began to burn. His cock pressed against her belly and it snapped her from the trance the mate pull was trying to put her under. She pushed him away and he grabbed her wrist.

The store owner saw what was happening and came outside to offer her assitance, such as it was.

“Get back inside,” Ryan growled. The store owners eyes widened and she ran back inside and immediately called the packhouse as she watched from the window.

“I’m warning you Lycan, get your hands off of me or I will break every goddamned bone in your body. Don’t try me, I’m hardly in the fucking mood,” said Hazel.

Ryan leaned into smell Hazel’s hair and then he recognized the scent. She was expecting.

He let go of her immediately as his eyes teared up. “I’m sorry Hazel. I didn’t realize you were pregnant. I’d never do anything to hurt you or your babies,” Ryan said as he backed away from her.

Hazel softened her attitude slightly. She couldn’t deny the feelings he brought up in her, but it was just her hormones talking. Her baies were sending her sexdrive into warp speed. She loved Rhett, but deep inside, she didn’t want to hurt Ryan. “Ryan, please leave this territory. Whatever you think is going to happen, it isn’t. I don’t care about a stupid mate bond. You and I have no future. I’m already taken.”

Ryan shook his head, “You’re wrong Hazel. I’m willing to share you to make you happy. Can Rhett say the same? He never told you about me did he? He hid the truth from you. That’s not fair Hazel. I deserve to be happy too. We can all be happy together, you just have to convince him it’s possible.”

Hazel stopped to think about that for a second then shook it away. “Leave Ryan.”

As they stood there, Hazel felt Rhett coming closer. She looked down the road and saw two SUV’s speeding towards them. She hung her head and teared over as she said, “Ryan, if you feel anything for me at all, you’ll just go.”

Ryan smiled and said, “I can’t do that Hazel. I’m not walking away from you. You’re mine.”

The SUV screeched to a stop then the door flew open and Rhett jumped out and grabbed Ryan then threw him across the ground. Rhett stood between Hazel and Ryan as Ryan looked up at Rhett on all fours and wiped the blood away from his nose. Rhett’s gaurds and James got out and surrounded the alpha wolves, armed to the teeth.

“You can’t hide her from me Rhett. She’s my mate, too.”

“Well then, come and claim her,” said Rhett, begging his brother to try.

“See Hazel,” Ryan said as he stood up and dusted himself off, “he doesn’t really care about your happiness. If he did, he would want you to have everything you deserve, even if that thing is me.”

Hazel walked towards Ryan, but Rhett put his arm up to stop her. “It’s alright Rhett, you don’t need to worry. I’ve got this, my love.”

Rhett looked back at her with tears in his eyes, she knew what he was feeling and thinking. He knew she was going to go to Ryan, wanted him. She pushed his arm down and he let her walk away.

His heart broke as he saw her walking to Ryan. Ryan smiled as Hazel came closer to him. She stopped a few few feet away from him and said, “I, Hazel Parker Cameron, reject you as my mate and husband.”

Ryan gasped and stumbled backwards as tears streamed down his cheeks. He shook his head no then breathed deeply through his nose. “This isn’t over Hazel. You can say whatever you want, but I feel this connection. I know you do too. I won’t ever stop.”

“Yes, you fucking will,” said Rhett as he wrapped his arms around Hazel and pulled her away from Ryan.

“Get this fucker out of my territory. If he comes back, kill him.”

Then James grabbed the back of Ryan’s shirt and drug him away. Ryan stared at Hazel, the hurt in his eyes was palpable. Hazel’s heart sank as she watched her husband’s mirror image be shoved into the SUV and disappear from her sight.
