   ANONYMOUS'S POINT OF VIEW

As I sat there lost in my thoughts, a grin spread across my face, unbidden yet warm. Suddenly, I was jolted out of my reverie by Silas's voice, cutting through the air with his usual inquisitive tone.

"You've been smiling to yourself; what's up with the smiles?" he inquired, tilting his head slightly while observing me with an amused expression. I turned to him, my smile widening even further, and met his gaze.

"Well... let's just say I'm in a really good mood," I replied, a playful grin tugging at my lips.

"By the way, when did you actually walk in?" I added, genuinely curious about how much of my internal happiness he'd witnessed.

"Long enough to catch you grinning to yourself like an idiot," he teased, his eyebrows raising in mock disbelief.

"But seriously, how did it go? Did you manage to talk to her......did she agree??" Silas interrogated me, his tone shifting to one of genuine interest. I nodded in response, my heart racing slightly at the memory.

"Where did you disappear to, anyway? I've been searching for you for a while now," I asked, narrowing my eyes playfully as I regarded him, curious about his escapades during my absence.

"Oh, you know, the usual—went out to, well, let’s say, enjoy some company," he shrugged nonchalantly as he took a seat on the plush couch across from me. It was a casual dismissal, but I knew him well enough to sense the subtext of mischief in his words, hinting at a more wild and carefree side of him that I sometimes envied.

"And now, since we're on the subject, tell me, how did she react?" Silas leaned forward, clearly eager to hear the details of my encounter.

"Yes... she was just beyond startled. Honestly, There’s no way she'd turn down my offer after I made it clear I had my eyes set on her family if she didn’t comply with my requests," I explained, a proud smirk creeping onto my lips as I relayed the events. Silas chuckled, clearly entertained by the absurdity of it all.

"But you know," I continued, my tone softening slightly,

"she is so incredibly beautiful that I almost found myself at a loss for words the moment I laid eyes on her. It was as if the world around me faded, and all I could see was her." At this confession, Silas erupted into a fit of laughter, the sound echoing around us like a burst of lightheartedness amidst the tension of our conversation. .

It was infectious, and soon I found myself laughing along, caught up in the camaraderie and the thrill of the situation.

“Please don’t tell me you’ve developed feelings for her,” he remarked, a teasing lilt in his voice. I could only respond with a slow nod, which elicited an amused grin from him.

“I’m really not sure, Silas,” I confessed, my heart fluttering a little just at the thought of her.

“But the instant I set my eyes on her, I felt this rush—a surge of adrenaline, and my heart started racing faster than ever before. It was as if it had a mind of its own,” I continued, a smile spreading across my face as I recalled the intensity of that moment.

“Wow, this sounds really serious.” His gaze was fixed on me with an intensity that made me feel exposed. The gravity of what I was feeling was sinking in.

“Do you think she’ll actually go through with it?” He inquired, his expression turning more thoughtful.

“I honestly can’t say. It’s hard to tell, but we’ll just have to wait and find out. I really hope she decides to follow through with it because the last thing I want is to hurt her,” I replied, a light chuckle escaping me as I remembered her bold response to my earlier question—“And what if I don’t?”

“So sxy” I muttered, a smile creeping onto my lips as I licked them, fully aware of the effect she had began having on me.

“I truly hope she doesn’t recognize you,” Silas said with a half-smirk, and I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

“Oh, there’s no way she will. I’ve altered my voice so distinctly, making it deeper and gravelly; I’m practically unrecognizable, and besides I wore the mask” I reassured him, and he nodded, looking a bit more at ease.

“Let’s keep our fingers crossed that everything unfolds according to plan. She better make sure to deliver the drugs to Donovan,” he stated, his expression serious once more. I nodded in agreement, knowing that this situation was too precarious to take lightly. Every detail mattered, and I could only hope that our efforts would lead to the outcome we wanted.

#MORNING,#
      KIMBERLY'S POINT OF VIEW

I've just been moody throughout last night to this evening......... I couldn't even sleep a wink last night because of I had a nightmare and that strange man from yesterday was chasing after me with a knife. It felt so real that I had to wake up screaming really loudly.

I'm just stepping out of Donovan's room at this very moment, having just wrapped up giving him his evening medications. It's a routine I’ve grown accustomed to, one that brings a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos of the day.

As I was helping him with his pills, he kept asking me if I was okay, and I kept insisting that I was fine. But the truth is, I couldn't bring myself to tell him about the unsettling encounter I had with that man last night.

I didn't want to burden him with my worries, especially since he's already dealing with so much. So, I fabricated a story, claiming I had a disagreement with my mom instead. I hated having to lie to him like that, but I felt it was the right thing to do now.

As I made my way downstairs, I spotted Sophie alongside her rather eccentric tutor, who always seems to have an unusual demeanor. My younger brother, Royce, was also there. He had arrived a bit earlier, and honestly, just seeing him lifted my spirits. His cheerful disposition has a way of bringing warmth into the house, especially on days like this.

The moment Royce noticed me, his face lit up with a beaming smile, and he winked at me, which instantly made me crack a smile in return. It was such a small gesture, yet it had the power to ease the tension I’d been feeling all day.

“Please, continue what you guys were discussing; I need to have a word with my sister,” he said softly to Sophie and her tutor, gesturing for them to carry on without him.

He started making his way toward me, radiating an energy that made everything seem a little bit brighter. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught Sophie’s tutor staring at me.

There was something about him that always made me uncomfortable—he had this unsettlingly intense gaze that I found hard to ignore. If it were up to me, I would do everything in my power to prevent him from coming around again.

“Please, show me your room,” Royce said, an eager look in his eyes.

“I’ve been dying to see it ever since we had that video call last time.” He reached out and took my hand, a small yet comforting gesture that reminded me of our close bond. In this moment, though the weight of my worries lingered, I found solace in the simplicity of his request, feeling a flicker of hope that perhaps everything would be okay after all.

"Of course ,I'll show you  come on let's go it's upstairs"I said and he giggled and began following me upstairs.

"Woooooooow! Your room is absolutely enormous and so sophisticated!" Royce exclaimed the moment we crossed the threshold into the space. I couldn’t help but chuckle at his reaction as I watched his mouth drop open, his eyes darting around the room in awe. It was amusing to see someone so captivated by my surroundings.

"No wonder you've packed on a few extra pounds! Just look at how expansive your room is... it’s clear they’re treating you well here," he remarked playfully, a smirk dancing on his lips. I rolled my eyes at his teasing, although I couldn't contain a small smile that crept onto my face.

With a cheeky grin plastered across his face, he declared,

"I’m definitely crashing here tonight! No questions asked."

"And honestly, I would love that," I replied, a hint of relief in my voice.

"I just can’t bear the thought of facing another nightmare alone... it frightens me to think what might happen if I had to sleep by myself." His laughter filled the room, momentarily easing my tension.

"Are those strange dreams still haunting you?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow as he leaned against the wall.

I rolled my eyes again, this time in exasperation.

"No, thankfully, I don’t have those anymore." Changing the subject, I let out a sigh and asked,

"So... how is Mom doing these days?" I began to remove my jacket, feeling more at ease as I settled into the conversation.

"She’s doing well! You wouldn’t believe it—she actually suggested joining me to visit the Higgins mansion so that she could see you!" Royce said, a hint of amusement in his voice. I couldn’t help but chuckle lightly at the thought. It was just like her to jump at the opportunity to reconnect.

"You should have let her come along! I mean, she’s my mother after all, and I can’t imagine there being any issues if she visited me here," I said, my enthusiasm brightening the mood. Royce nodded thoughtfully in agreement before settling himself comfortably in a chair nearby, clearly ready to enjoy the evening ahead.

"I guess we'll come together when next I'm coming"He said and I hummed and walked to the front of the mirror.

"Are you okay??. ......I've noticed that you don't look too good and at times like this, you would have been happy that I'm here but right now you look....... I don't know but sad and lost. Is anything the problem??....... you can share it with me, I promise I'll listen attentively"He said but all I could do was to sign out again.

"Hey, Talk to me sis...... Even though we've been apart for a while I still know that your face is showing that something is wrong. I'm your brother so please talk to me"He said and stood up looking really worried.

"It's nothing serious, Royce. Really, you don't need to stress yourself out over me," I reassured him, trying to alleviate the tension that was radiating from his posture. As I spoke, I noticed how he was hovering near the door, clearly torn between his concern for me and the responsibilities he had downstairs.
"As a matter of fact, you should be down there with Sophie and her tutor. They need you."

His reaction was immediate and vocal. He scoffed loudly, the sound filled with disbelief, almost cutting through the air like a sharp knife.
"Do you still see me as the naive Royce?" he shot back, his voice a mixture of frustration and concern. .
.
"I know what I'm talking about, Kim. Just look at you—you look so incredibly disturbed; your face is practically ghostly! Trust me, I know my sister; it's time for you to spill the beans and talk to your brother."

With each word, he drew closer, his eyes searching my face for signs of distress..

"Are they treating you badly?" he pressed on, his tone becoming more urgent.

"Did someone hit you? Is that patient of yours making things unbearable for you?" The intensity of his questions made me feel even more compelled to reassure him, but I could only shake my head in response, my heart sinking a little deeper.

"It's nothing like that, Royce," I insisted, my voice quieter now as I rubbed my forehead, feeling a headache creeping in from the stress of the conversation.

"They're treating me very well, so please don't say that." With a deep sigh that seemed to echo the weight of my thoughts, I turned to face the mirror, staring at my reflection, which mirrored the turmoil I felt inside.

"Still, something did happen," I admitted finally, my voice tinged with hesitation as I broke the silence that enveloped us.

"What happened?" he asked impatiently, a sense of urgency pushing him forward. His eyes were wide with concern, as if he were bracing himself for something monumental.

Taking a deep breath, I finally revealed the truth that had been clawing at my mind.

"I found out that Mr. Donovan... well, someone has actually been giving him drugs to make him mentally ill. This individual has been threatening previous doctors to continue down this dark path." The gravity of the situation hung between us, and I could see the realization settling in his eyes as the implications of my confession began to unfold.

"And yesterday..... I also got threatened, Royce. The man told me to give Donovan the drugs or he's going to hurt you and mom"I said and he gasped immediately in shock.

"What??"He whispered staring at me surprised.

"You heard me correctly, Royce," I said, my voice trembling with emotion.

"I'm absolutely terrified and completely confused right now. I have no intention of ever harming Donovan, but at the same time, I can't shake this overwhelming fear of something terrible happening to any of you.” I let out a shaky breath, my heart pounding as I recalled the chilling details of the situation.

“He even knows that Dad is in Paris,” I added, clearing my throat as I felt the strain in my voice—tears were beginning to form, and I fought to maintain my composure.

"Holy crap," Royce exclaimed, a look of shock evident on his face.

"Have you actually told him what’s going on?” The weight of his question hung in the air, and I could sense the urgency in his tone.

"Who?" I replied, momentarily bewildered by the direction of our conversation.

"Donovan, of course! Wait… didn’t you tell him?......you're supposed to tell him” He followed up, his breath loud with frustration as he huffed dramatically.

I shook my head, the knot in my stomach tightening further.

“No, I haven’t told him anything yet. Honestly, I’m still trying to sort through my own thoughts—I’m perplexed about everything,” I admitted, glancing at him through the mirror, my own reflection mirroring the turmoil I felt inside.

“Confused? About what, exactly?” Royce asked, his brow furrowing in concern, indicating how much he cared about our conversation.

I hesitated, my words spilling out in a whisper.

“It’s… it’s just that the man’s voice…” I paused, swallowing hard before continuing,

“it sounded exactly like Donovan’s.” My eyes widened as I bit my lip, transfixed by my own reflection. A look of distress clouded my features as I contemplated the chilling similarity.

"I’m telling you, Royce, I can’t be mistaken. The way he spoke—it was eerily identical to Donovan’s voice, and that’s what’s really freaking me out right now.” The implications of this realization sent shivers down my spine, and I could feel the tension in the air thickening as we both processed the possible consequences of such a haunting connection.
