Chapter 45 ~ First Night

Belinda was brought into Luca's room after the event by the servants. Tonight was their first night, and to be honest, Belinda was very nervous. Her heart was beating so fast, she never imagined she would have her first night with the Ravis.

Belinda gazed around Luca's spacious and magnificent room. This was indeed the room of a ruling monarch; it deserved to be this spacious and luxurious.

The walls were filled with beautiful paintings depicting the splendor of the Ravis kingdom, while the candlelight flickered softly, giving off an intimate atmosphere that made Belinda feel even more thrilled. She could feel the aura of power and honor within this room, and her mind raced to all the possibilities of what would happen next.

Belinda recalled everything she had learned about the Ravis. They were known for their physical beauty and magical powers. However, what worried her more were the traditions and procedures of the first night among them, which were certainly far different from what she knew.

When the door to the room opened, Luca entered the room. The man looked stunning with his well-built figure and charismatic aura. He wore robes and trinkets that showed his status as a king. Belinda felt both mesmerized and nervous.

“Bell,” Luca called softly, a smile gracing his face. “Are you alright?”

Belinda nodded, though her heart and mind were not entirely at ease. “Just... a little nervous,” she admitted, shaking her head.

Luca stepped closer, creating a distance that made Belinda's heartbeat faster. “There's no need to worry. This is a special night, and we'll get through it together,” he said as he reached for Belinda's hand and took it in his.

The warm touch brought a bit of calmness inside Belinda. She began to feel the sincerity in Luca's gaze, which seemed to want to reassure her that everything would be fine. “Let's enjoy this evening and learn from each other,” Luca continued.

Belinda mustered up the courage and nodded. Tonight was the beginning of a new journey, and although a million fears filled her mind, there was also an irreplaceable curiosity. What would it be like to spend the first night with the king of Ravis? Belinda tried to shake off her nerves and prepare for what was to come.

Luca began to remove his robes and trinkets, leaving only a white shirt and black pants.

Then, Luca sat next to Belinda on the side of the bed. Their gazes were locked on each other.

“I'll help you remove the accessories in your hair,” Luca said, to which the woman nodded her head in response.

Gently, Luca moved his hands towards Belinda's hair, which was tied neatly into a bun. He took off one by one the accessories that adorned her hair, feeling the warmth of his closeness. When the last accessory was removed, Belinda's long hair flowed beautifully, adding a mesmerizing naturalness to the room's grand setting.

“Let's make tonight extra special,” Luca said with a smile as he gently stroked Belinda's hair behind the ear.

Belinda felt a subtle tremor inside her as Luca approached. The dim candlelight gave a soft touch to her face, highlighting the beauty that had been hidden. Her heart was beating harder, but this time it wasn't just nerves; there was a glimmer of comfort and safety with him.

“Why don't we have a little chat?” offered Luca, trying to break the ice. “I want to know more about you.”

Belinda looked into Luca's deep, meaningful eyes. “What do you want to know?” she asked.

“Everything, about you,” Luca said, looking intensely at Belinda.

“My name is Belinda, and I am the only child of a harmonious couple who live a simple life,” said Belinda.

“Belinda?” asked Luca.

Belinda nodded her head. “Yes, my name is Belinda. My father is a scientist who researches things, including extraterrestrials. For some reason, he was obsessed and always said that there were beings on other planets besides mankind on Earth. I thought he was delirious and had read and studied too much about science. As it turns out, I was right. You're here,” Belinda said.

“We did exist. Before the wars and invasions of the demons and Gordon. The planet was quite peaceful, and all problems were solved. Because of the chaos, we lost our minds and intended to take over the earth from the humans, whom we considered weak. Maybe that's the wrong way to go; after all, you're colonizing the innocent,” Luca said.

Belinda was silent for a moment, processing what Luca had just said. “But... moving to Earth and colonizing it is not the way to go. You can find another solution, can't you?” she asked skeptically.

Luca let out a long breath. “We know that. However, the situation on our planet is already very precarious. Ever since the goddess Bloodmoon, who once kept us in balance, passed away. Without her presence, we are trapped in chaos and internal conflict.”

“Sein and many other Ravis creatures chose to cooperate with the demons simply because they were power-hungry,” Luca said.

“Oh, Sein? Yes, the one who kidnapped me that time. From the moment I met him, he seemed to know something about me,” said Belinda.

“Yes, he's quite sensitive,” said Luca.

“The execution hasn't been carried out yet?” asked Belinda.

“Not yet. Zepon wanted to lure the mastermind out. We suspect some involvement between Danica and Sein. But we don't have strong evidence yet,” said Luca, causing Belinda to pause.

Luca turned the conversation back to Belinda again.
