Chapter 65

Luna P.O.V.

The air in the crystal chamber was charged with quiet electricity. The rune stone Kinsey held shimmered faintly in her palm, like a heartbeat waiting for mine to answer.

“Are you sure you want to do this now?” Adrian asked. He stood near the archway, his hand resting on the hilt of his blade—not for danger, but out of instinct. His nerves mirrored mine.

“I’ve waited my whole life for answers I didn’t know I was missing,” I said. “I’m done waiting.”

Kinsey stepped forward and handed me the rune. It was warm in my palm, almost alive. “It needs intention. Blood. And something only you and Kamajah would share.”

I closed my eyes and summoned the memory—the one from the Starwell. The giggle of a girl beside me. A flash of silver eyes. Braiding flowers into one another’s hair. A lullaby hummed in a language I’d forgotten, but my soul still remembered.

My fingers tingled.

The rune flared.

Then I sliced the tip of my finger across its surface, letting a drop of blood fall into the carved groove at its center.

A burst of blinding light filled the room.

The walls pulsed, and the air grew thick. I felt my magic stretching—not outward, but inward. Like it was reaching through time. Through shadow. Through blood.

And then—I saw her.

Kamajah.

She was in a stone chamber, cloaked in chains that shimmered with dark enchantments. Her hair was tangled but long, wild curls falling around her face. Her skin was glowing faintly—just like mine used to when my magic stirred. Her arms were bound at the wrist by black cuffs glowing with ancient symbols.

She wasn’t asleep.

She was awake.

Staring directly into the rune—as if she felt me watching.

“Luna…” her voice echoed in my mind, soft and sharp like glass and silk. “You finally remembered.”

Tears stung my eyes. “I’m coming.”

Her lips moved again, though her voice was fading. “He thinks he owns me… but I’ve been waiting for you. Don’t let him win.”

The image blinked out.

The rune shattered.

I dropped to my knees.

Adrian was beside me in a heartbeat. “Are you okay?”

I nodded, breath catching. “She’s alive. She’s imprisoned. She knows about him—about Ravana. She’s still fighting.”

Kinsey picked up the shards of the rune. “Then we still have time.”

“But not much,” I whispered. “She’s not just being held. He’s using her. Drawing from her.”

“She’s the missing piece,” Adrian said. “To either destroy him… or give him everything he needs.”

I looked up at them both. “Then we find her. No matter what.”

Meanwhile…

Ravana P.O.V.

From the shadows of a forgotten mountain temple, I felt the ripple.

“She knows,” I muttered, fingers tightening around the bracelet glowing on my wrist.

Hunter stepped forward, a storm behind his eyes. “Do we move the girl?”

“No.” I grinned slowly. “We use her. Let Luna come.”

He stepped back, confused.

“Kamajah is not what she seems,” I said, turning toward the cracked mirror at the far end of the chamber.

In its surface, I saw both twins—one glowing like moonlight.

The other like fire.

“One will save the world.”

“The other will burn it down.”

And if Luna made the wrong choice—

They both would fall.
