Lucas

I quickly rose to my feet and ran to her. I grabbed her waist before penetrating inside her.

“Argh!” she moaned as I fastened my pace. Our moans and the sound of skin slapping filled the room as I took her over and over.

I was still in the middle of it when I heard my beta’s voice in my mind.

“Alpha,” his voice resonated through our telepathic link.

“What is it, Jack?” I responded, my attention momentarily diverted.

“You have a visitor,” he reported.

“Who?” I replied, still thrusting faster inside her.

“I’m uncertain, sir,” Jack replied. “But the visitor is insistent on speaking with you immediately.”

“I’ll be there shortly,” I answered, then severed our mental connection.

The maid looked at me, her expression a mixture of curiosity and concern. “Is everything alright?” she asked.

“Shut up,” I roared. “It is not your turn to question me. Show me your ass properly.”

My pace got faster, deeper, and harder until I came, filling her with my seed.

“Leave,” I said curtly, turning away. “Ensure this doesn’t result in any... complications. I don’t want you coming to tell me you are carrying my child.”

“You needn’t worry, sir,” she replied promptly. “The timing is inconvenient for such concerns.”

“Good,” I muttered. “Clean this area thoroughly. Do not enter again without being summoned.”

“Understood, sir.”

I walked inside the bathroom to have my morning bath. I turned on the shower and let the warm water cascade over me, washing away the dirt. The steam filled the room, creating a soothing atmosphere as I reached for the soap.

After lathering up, I rinsed off. Feeling refreshed, I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a soft towel.

As I got dressed, I couldn’t take my mind off the maid.

After dressing, I stepped out of the room. My path led directly to the dining area, where I quickly consumed breakfast before making my way to the office.

As I entered, Jack and Alex immediately acknowledged my presence. “Good morning, Alpha,” they said in unison, bowing their heads.

“Rise,” I commanded, settling into my chair. “What visitor seeks my attention?”

“That would be me,” a voice responded, cutting through the silence.

“You again? Why are you here, Alpha Dickson?”

Alpha Dickson slowly removed the black cloth concealing his head, revealing himself fully.

“I thought I made it clear during our last encounter,” I began, my tone resolute, “that what you’re seeking is impossible.”

“I know,” he replied, his voice a deep, gravelly rumble.

“Then why persist?” I asked, holding his gaze with unwavering intensity.

“I require the same assistance as before,” he said. “If you cannot aid me personally, then at least lend me your warriors.”

“Alpha Damon once single-handedly killed you and destroyed your pack. What makes you think you can win against him this time?”

The memories of when I met Alpha Damon, the powerful leader I encountered during my visit to his pack, surged through my consciousness.

His reputation was legendary, a force of nature that commanded both respect and fear.

I remembered how his mere growl send tremors of primal terror through my body. He was more than just a leader; he was a formidable being whose power seemed to transcend ordinary understanding.

Why would I willingly step into a battle I knew, deep in my bones, was unwinnable? With my father’s health failing, barely able to lift a hand, the thought of risking everything seemed not just foolish, but impossible.

What value could a past favor hold against the potential destruction of my entire pack? No favor, no matter how significant, could justify such a reckless gamble.

No, he should seek help directly from my father, not drag me and my warriors into what could be a fatal confrontation.

“I can,” he stated with a resolute certainty. “With your help, I am sure I can win.”

“Really?” I scoffed, my gaze sharp with derision as I observed the once-powerful Alpha reduced to begging.

“Yes, I have the support of the rogues as well.”

I frowned, a mix of contempt and disbelief crossing my features. He had fallen so far as to align with rogues, a move universally despised among pack Alphas.

Rogues were outcasts, wolves without honor or allegiance.

“Rogues,” I repeated, the word dripping with disdain.

“Yes, Alpha Lucas,” he responded.

Alpha! The title rang hollow. If not for my father’s illness, this wolf would never have approached me, let alone addressed me with such respect.

My father, a formidable leader who seemed destined to rule eternally, refusing to yield or acknowledge the passage of time.

I had often wondered how long he would maintain his grip on power, how long I would be forced to wait in the shadows. But my father was unyielding, a pillar of strength who showed no signs of stepping down.

Until I intervened.

He trusted me implicitly, his own son. A trust I systematically betrayed, poisoning him gradually, meticulously weakening him until he could no longer lift his own body. A slow, calculated destruction that would finally clear my path to leadership.

I knew I had not yet been officially crowned Alpha, my father still clung to life, though the poison I had carefully administered would soon ensure my ascension. Sooner or later, his end was inevitable.

“My father sought your help in the past, and you assisted him,” I began, sitting upright, my posture rigid with authority. “But I am not my father. You should seek his aid, not mine.”

“How dare you!” he screeched, his voice rising with indignation. “You think you deserve to be called an Alpha?”

My response was immediate and decisive. I slammed my fist on the desk, the sound reverberating through the room. “Do not dare raise your voice to me, Alpha Dickson. You are nothing more than a fallen leader. You are in my pack, and you will show me the respect I command.”

“Y-You...” He stammered, pointing an accusatory finger.

“Don’t you dare!” I growled, a primal warning that brook no argument. My beta and gamma stood at the ready, awaiting my slightest command.

His threat came next, dripping with malice. “You’re insulting me for simply requesting help? You think you’re something special?” His smirk was predatory. “I promise you, if you refuse to aid me, once I destroy Crescent Pack, I’m coming for you.”

He paused, the challenge hanging in the air like a blade. “This pack is no longer the powerhouse it once was, not since your father’s illness. I will come for you. Trust me.”

The threat hung between us, dark and thick with his barely contained rage.

“Wait for me,” he snarled. “I will destroy you and rule over all werewolf packs.”

I let out a sharp laugh. “Haha. If Alpha Damon could kill you once, he can do it again. The only thing that could bring you back from the land of death is if you have vampire blood flowing in your veins.”

I watched him carefully, and the shock on his face confirmed my suspicion. He was transparent, his secrets laid bare in that single moment of vulnerability.

I was shocked when Alpha Dickson came to my pack with his beta to ask for my assistance. I thought he had risen from death. I tried to sound him out, to get him to tell me how he had survived, but his mouth was sealed.

I rejected him and since then have always wondered how he survived and cheated death, now he confirmed my suspicion.

Alpha Dickson had vampire blood running in his veins. Interesting.

I wondered what Alpha Damon’s reaction could be if he knew his enemy he once killed was alive and plotting revenge on him and his pack. Ugh! I can’t wait for that day.

“You’re not even a full werewolf,” I mocked, pressing my advantage. “A half-hybrid. No wonder you could be defeated so easily.” I paused, letting the words sink in. “Don’t stress yourself; you will get killed this time. Alpha Damon is the most dangerous man you could ever imagine. Do not cross him.”

His eyes blazed with uncontrolled fury, but I remained impassive. “I will never risk my life or my people for someone like you,” I continued, my voice cold and calculating. “I know you will never win this battle. I am nothing like my father. I am far smarter than you can comprehend.”

My final decree was absolute: “You can leave and never step foot on my land again.”

“You will regret this,” he roared, his voice trembling with rage. “I will make you regret every moment of this rejection.”

He turned to leave, but then he spoke words that sent a jolt of shock through my entire being.

“Mate,” he growled, the word charged with primal intensity, as he bolted out of the room.

Without hesitation, I followed.

Mate. His mate was here, within my pack. The realization struck me with the force of a thunderbolt.

Before I could fully process the implications, he was already outside. As I reached the door, my eyes fell upon a scene of pure horror - a sight that would change everything.
