Scar
He stroked his rod. “I can’t wait to thrust into her.”
I chuckled, watching him stroke his rod. This is gonna be interesting. I can’t wait to see the way she will look.
I gently tapped Felix’s arm. “It is gonna be fun. Just wait.”
“I trust you, Scar,” he purred, already reveling in the impending revenge. “I can’t wait to sleep with the Beta’s former mate.” His eyes rolled to the back as he added, “Hmm.”
Felix was notorious within the pack - a dangerous predator whose crimes were repeatedly overlooked. The only reason he still breathed was his connection to one of the pack’s elder families.
No matter his transgressions, he remained protected, confined to the criminals’ quarters, but never truly punished.
“I will be on my way now, Felix,” I said coldly, taking my eyes off his rod. “See you soon.”
I could hear his excited breathing as I left, a smile playing on my lips. Since Nina had chosen to destroy my life, there was nothing wrong with returning the favor. “Tonight,” I muttered. “I will make her pay for everything.”
My steps quickened toward my new room - a far cry from my previous luxurious quarters. Gone were the beautiful spaces, the attentive maids, the status I once held. Now, I was nothing more than a shadow of my former self.
Sighing, I reached my door and opened it slightly. My blood ran cold.
Lucas stood before me, an unexpected visitor. His voice carried the Alpha’s authority - a command I could not refuse.
This man, this monster, was someone I once loved. Someone I cherished with my life. Someone who held the most important place in my heart. But right now, he is nothing.
The words reverberated in my mind, starkly contrasting with the deep emotions that had once connected us. Love, once so consuming, so absolute, had been reduced to ash.
Where there was once passion, only a hollow emptiness remained. He who was everything had become less than nothing: a memory, a wound, a betrayal I could never fully heal from.
“Where are you coming from?” he demanded.
I walked in. “Somewhere,” I replied, my voice barely a whisper.
He rose from my bed, approaching with predatory grace. “Answer me, Scar. And where is that place?”
I turned away, unable to bear his gaze. Looking at him resurrected memories of his betrayal. “Somewhere,” I repeated, my voice gaining an edge. “And I don’t think you should be here, Alpha.”
The title fell from my lips with bitter irony. Never did I imagine I would address Lucas so formally, with such cold respect.
“Look up,” he commanded. “Now.”
I obeyed, my body trembling against my will. My gaze met his, and I felt my inner wolf cower, retreating from his overwhelming presence.
“What do you want?” I asked, my voice quivering as his hand seized my face. “I did nothing wrong.”
“Really?” He scoffed, studying me like a predator eyeing its prey.
“Yes, Alpha.”
His command tore through my defenses. “Then tell me, Scar, where are you coming from?” he roared.
“F-from the criminals’ quarters,” I answered, unable to resist the Alpha’s command.
“What? What did you just say?” Lucas’s eyes widened. “Who did you go and see there?”
I yanked his hand away before he could compose himself. “Why do you care? Tell me?” I snapped, pushing him away.
“Tell me,” he howled. “Who is that bastard?”
What kind of person is this? He discarded me, yet he couldn’t bear the thought of me finding solace elsewhere. The hypocrisy was suffocating.
What path could free me from this toxic cycle? He had made everything painfully clear, my worth to him was nothing more than a fleeting possession. It was time to wake up from these shattered dreams, to break free from the illusion of love that had imprisoned me.
I needed to distance myself, to find my true path. Perhaps my real mate awaited me, someone who would love me unconditionally, who would cherish me for who I am, regardless of my past. This man before me, this cruel alpha, he didn’t deserve even a fragment of my heart.
I deserved better. So much better.
“What the hell are you thinking about in front of me?” he demanded, interrupting my thoughts.
He grabbed my hand forcefully. “Let go of me!” I cried.
“Shut up.”
The slap came without warning, shock rendering me momentarily speechless.
“You slapped me,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the burning mark on my cheek.
“Yes,” he snarled, “and I’ll do it again if you dare raise your voice. Answer me. Who did you meet? Choose your words carefully, or else...”
His threat hung in the air, dark and menacing. Like a grim reaper, ready to extinguish my very soul.
“I went to see Felix,” I admitted, my voice breaking.
“Felix,” he repeated, cold calculation in his tone. “For what?”
“Nina was the one who caused this,” I broke down, tears streaming. “She made my life a living hell, and I want to teach her a lesson.” My sobs echoed through the room. “Only Felix can help me.”
Lucas’s grip tightened. “Without offering him anything, and you think I will believe you?”
“I offered to pay him after the job was done,” I whispered.
His growl sent shivers down my spine. “You think I’m gonna believe that, Scar?”
He pushed me onto the bed, his presence overwhelming. “Let me go,” I cried, but my pleas fell on deaf ears.
Before I knew it, he gripped my dress, stripping me naked. His claws came out as he tore my lingerie before shoving his fingers inside me.
“Ah! Let me go, bastard!” No matter how much I tried to fight, Lucas overpowered me, continuing to finger me.
“Hahah.” His laugh was cruel, devoid of any warmth. After a moment, he stepped back, a calculated move that spoke volumes about his control.
He brought out his napkin, wiped his hand, and tossed it away.
“Good. If I see you with any male wolf, I am going to end your life myself,” he warned before turning his back.
Something broke inside me. “Why?” I asked, stopping him in his tracks. “Why are you doing this to me? You made it clear. You didn’t want me anymore. Why don’t you let me go and focus on finding your true love and Luna?”
His response was cold, possessive. “You won’t be the one to decide what I want, honey. Even if I don’t want you anymore, I won’t allow anyone near you.”
“Bastard!” I yelled, my frustration erupting.
“Call me anything you like, Scar,” he spoke with terrifying calm. “But remember this: you are mine. Even in death, you are my property.”
