CHAPTER 167 : HER WRATH

Bringing her hands down with her palms open, Kira released the blazing light, expanding it outward toward them.

The vampires closest to her didn't have the time or opportunity to run, as the moment the light touched them, they caught fire.

They had thought their rings would protect them, but the rings did nothing, their screams filling the air as their bodies burned to ash within seconds.

The ones further back tried to escape, but both Kira and the magic she channeled were quick, the light spreading like a wave as it covered the battlefield and set every vampire on fire.

Kira was careful not to let it harm any of her people, allowing the light to go only for the vampires, and soon, all that remained was ash.

The battlefield itself had become silent except for the crackling of burning vampires, but it wasn't completely silent, and all the vampires that were rushing in from the border as reinforcement were all wiped out.

Behind Kira, the elven and werewolf warriors continued fighting with the vampires that were already in.

The vampires had tried to go for her while she was channeling her magic, but she was not alone.

Swords clashed, axes cut through skulls, arrows flew, and the tides turned one final time, remaining that way.

The werewolves had won as the final vampire fell.

Kira's hands, which had raised after the first release of her magic, slowly lowered, the light fading away.

She took a deep breath and then turned to where the werewolves and eleven warriors stood, their eyes locked on her.

They had an awe and respect that showed in their expressions, and even Bryan and Aiden, covered in blood and sweat, stared at her, completely mesmerized. It was like they had fallen in love with her all over again.

Everyone knew that Kira was strong but nowhere near this powerful. She had literally channeled light from the sun and used it as a weapon.

She was unbelievable.

The werewolf warriors were proud of their Luna, grateful for her showing up, and despite the shock that they felt, it could not overshadow the pride, respect, and awe they all had for her.

Seeing all of their expressions, Kira found it hilarious, but she only smiled.

They had done it.

They had won, but then-she noticed it, and at the same time, Bryan and Aiden did too.

As soon as they saw the vampire approaching her, they both started running toward her, wanting to protect her. But before they could reach her, Kira turned her head to the left, the vampire ready to lunge at her.

Without wasting a second, she raised her hands and swiftly brought it down, making the vampire's body react instantly as his legs buckled, and he dropped, slamming down hard on his knees.

The vampire struggled against the hold, tried to resist and get back up, but Kira's power held him in place, making it impossible for him to even move. Then she turned to face him fully, a small, knowing smile slowly appearing on her lips.

"Lord Aleksandra Drakhl," she said calmly, the battlefield quiet. "I have heard so much about you, and it's quite a pity we have to meet this way. I thought you would be more… what's the word again?" she taunted. "Yes, sophisticated. I thought you would be more sophisticated. But I see that's not the case."

"Let me go," Lord Aleksandra hissed. "I will show you what sophistication is," he said as he fought against her hold, trying to push himself up to attack her, but she didn't let him.

"Even though I do," Kira drawled as she pressed him down harder with just a small motion of her hand. "I doubt you will be able to get one hit," and then he felt his body tremble as the hold she had on him forced him even lower. "Do not think, for a second, that you can beat me."

After that, she raised one finger slightly, and immediately, blood started trickling from his nose. Then his eyes, his ears, and his mouth.

Lord Aleksandra's expression shifted from anger to shock, then to agony as a choked gasp escaped him and more blood poured out, the dark red liquid streaming down his face.

His entire body trembled, and he felt as if his body was being crushed from the inside out, and then Kira lifted her other hand, and this time, she curled her fingers slowly while watching him.

"AARGHHHHHHHH!" Lord Aleksandra screamed, his body convulsing violently as the pain he felt was excruciating.

It was like Kira was giving him a painful death for trying to attack her pack, his veins bulging under his skin as more blood poured from his eyes, nose, and mouth.

He gurgled, choking on his own blood, and Kira's expression remained cold, her eyes locked onto him as she raised her other hand.

Slowly, her fingers curled into a tight grip and Lord Aleksandra screamed again, his scream echoing through the whole pack as he felt his chest cave inward, his body arched, and his ribs straining as if something inside him was being forcibly pulled forward.

He tried to save himself, tried to plead, but he couldn't, everything was useless now, and with one final, crushing squeeze, his screams were cut short as his chest burst open.

Next thing, his heart tore free from his body, and landed right in Kira's waiting hand.

His body jerked one last time before collapsing onto the ground, a gaping, bloody hole in the middle of his chest, his body lying completely lifeless.

Exhaling softly, Kira walked up to him, reached down and slipped his daylight ring off his finger.

The moment the ring left his skin, his body caught fire, and Kira took a step back, watching as he burned.

Then, with a slow, sophisticated movement, she turned to face the werewolf and elven warriors, a proud smile on her face as well.

In her hand, Lord Aleksandra's heart still dropped with blood, and without a word, she lifted it into the air.

At first, there was just silence, then cheers erupted, a roar of victory as the warriors raised their weapons high.

They had won.

While on the other hand, Bryan and Aiden just stood, watching her. They had stopped in their tracks when they saw that she had everything under control, and now, they just could not take their eyes off her, and, neither could she.

She slowly walked up to them, her smile deepening as she wiggled her eyebrows once at them and said,

"You both didn't really think I would just leave that way now, did you?"
