Bonus Chapter Stormy x Alex

Bonus Chapter Stormy x Alex
Stormy POV

It’s Alex’s birthday. He said all he wanted was to go drinking with his friends. There’s no way I’m letting that happen.

So I brought the drinks to our house and a few of our closest friends. I sent Alex on errands to keep him busy so I could decorate and get all the food going.

“Is Leiah not going to come?” Alma asked.

She cradled a glass of wine between her hands. All the girls had a glass of wine in their hands.

I wasn’t drinking tonight.

“She’s on her honeymoon! I didn’t expect her or Gareth to come,” I replied.

“It’s been two weeks! My honeymoon wasn’t that long,” Emery said.

We all laughed. “You should take that up with Tristan,” I said.

“Trust me, he wouldn’t object to another honeymoon. The pack’s been quiet for the last month,” Emery added.

“Yeah, so has the Sanders pack,” Gabbie added.

Gabbie was Alex’s best friend, but I might have stolen her. I loved her children, and sometimes I hung out with her for her children, especially her daughter, Andrea. Every time I looked into Andrea’s eyes, I felt a hole in my heart.

That hole wouldn’t be there for long, though. Anyway, Gabbie had become a really good friend and a massive source of advice. She’s been Luna the longest amongst our group of Lunas and has experienced a lot more shit than we have.

“Henry’s pack’s been quiet too. We really have ushered the packs into an era of peace,” I said.

“It wasn’t easy,” Gabbie added. “That just means we can relax!”

“Where’s the alcohol?” Alma asked. “I hope you get the good stuff,” she added.

“I don’t know. Elise said she knew where to get the best alcohol in the pack. Stuff that’s good enough to get wolves drunk.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Emery said. “Do we really want to deal with drunk Alpha wolves?”

Gabbie burst into giggles. “Kade gets pretty funny when he’s drunk. We have some good sex when he’s drunk.”

Alma poured herself another drink. “I’m looking to get laid tonight. Bring on the alcohol.”

“You need to tell your brother about your new man,” I said.

Alma glared at me. “There’s no way in hell I’m doing that.”

“Who are you getting freaky with?” Gabbie raised her brow.

“No one!” Alma hissed.

“Not with that shade of pink. Do we know him?” Emery asked.

I grinned. “You can’t do any worse. Alex didn’t like your last boyfriend.”

“He’s going to be furious when he finds out Ryan and I are in a relationship.”

Gabbie’s jaw dropped. “You chose his beta? Are you crazy?”

“I’ve known him since I was young. I’ve always had a crush on him. He bullied me, but that was because he liked me back,” Alma smiled to herself.

“I think you should tell him tonight. He won’t be as pissed, trust me,” I said.

I had a surprise for him.

“It seems you’re still getting to know my brother,” Alma groaned.

I knew him very well. That’s why I knew he wouldn’t be mad about the relationship tonight.

“Let’s move this outside. He should be back home any minute,” I said.

Tristan, Kade, Axel and a few of Alex’s friends were outside getting the meat grilled. It wasn’t a werewolf party without grilled meat. Alex’s truck rumbled as it drove onto the property.

He slammed the driver's door shut, and Ryan got out of the passenger side.

“He’s here!” I hissed.

“Everyone form a circle,” Gabbie said.

We huddled together. The guys wouldn’t stop talking! You can’t plan a surprise with these people. I assumed the smoke drew Alex to the backyard. The second he appeared, I jumped and threw my arms in the air.

“Happy Birthday!” I bellowed.

The others followed behind me.

“You’re an old man now,” Tristan commented.

“You have to hold back on those runs, Grandpa!” Kade laughed.

Alex battled to hide a laugh. “What is all this?”

“It’s your birthday party, dumbass!” Gabbie swatted him.

He chuckled. He turned to me. “You did this, didn’t you?”

“Guilty. I wanted to do something nice for you.”

“Come here, Hurricane.” He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in for a kiss.  “You kept this a secret all day?”

“All week,” I confessed.

He chuckled. “I can’t believe this.”

“Grab a beer, birthday boy,” Kade said.

I grabbed Alex’s arm before he joined his friends.

“I’ve got a surprise for you,” I whispered.

“More?”

I nodded. “I hope you’ll like it.”

I entwined my fingers with his and led him into the house.

“I like anything you give me, Stormy,” Alex said.

I smiled. “Wait until I give it to you.”

I looked over my shoulder. Ryan and Alma were getting close, but fighting the attraction. They were being ridiculous.

“Do you know if Ryan’s seeing anyone?” I asked.

“He is,” Alex replied.

I paused. “Who?”

“He hasn’t told me yet. He says she’s really special, though.”

Ryan better be talking about Alma, or else I’ll kick his ass.

“Okay, sit on the bed and close your eyes.”

Alex settled on the edge of the bed and closed his eyes.

I opened my bedside drawer and pulled out the little box.

I stood in front of him and placed the box in his palms.

“Open your eyes,” I said.

“What is this? A watch.”

I shrugged. I lost my words, and my heart pounded harder than normal.

He opened the box and stared.

“Well!”

He raised his head with rounded eyes. “This is a pregnancy test. Stormy?”

I nodded.

“How? I would have smelled my pup on you.”

“A little trick your mother taught me to hide the baby’s scent.”

He pulled me to his chest and squeezed me.

“How could you doubt if I’d like it? I love this. I love you!”

“I’m so happy you’re happy. I don’t have to bathe in thistle oil anymore.”

He chuckled. “This is amazing, Stormy. It’s the best birthday present ever.”

“Better than drinking at a random bar?” I questioned.

“Ten times better.”

“Great! Now, Alma has something to tell you.”

“Alma?” His features hardened. “She’s not pregnant too, is she?”

“What? I didn’t say anything about that.”

“Stormy?” He growled. “This is my baby sister we’re talking about. She’s not even in a relationship. Unless she got back with her useless ex-boyfriend. She better not have done that.”

He started marching out of the bedroom.

“Oh, oh! I’m getting a craving. The baby wants you not to get mad at your sister.”

Alex paused and laughed. “Leave my pup out of this.”

Then he softened. “How long have you known?”

“Two weeks. I thought it would be the best birthday present.”

“Oh, babe. I would have been over the moon any day you told me about our pup. You’re never going to lift a thing ever again.”

“Alex…”

“I mean it. I’ll do everything.”

I brushed my nose against his before closing my lips on his. “I’m fine and we’re going to have a happy and healthy pup. Let’s go enjoy your party.”

He smiled from ear to ear when we joined the others. For a second I thought he was going to announce to everyone about the baby.

“Alex, I have something to tell you!” Alma jumped in front of her brother. “Ryan and I are in love and we’re planning our mating ceremony.”

“What?” Alex roared. “You!”

He pointed at Ryan.

Ryan raised his hands. Alex sighed, and his shoulders sagged. “She’s the special girl you’ve been telling me about?”

I breathed a sigh of relief. I thought he was going to attack Ryan.

Ryan nodded. “She’s always been special, but she’s also always been your little sister.”

“She’s your mate now. Take care of her. I will break you.”

Laughter rang out among the group.

“Even more great news! Stormy and I are having a pup.”

I gasped. The girls surrounded me with hugs.

“Congratulations, Stormy!” They said.

“I’m so happy for you.”

“Now you really are an old man,” the guys said.

Everything was as it should be. I never would have thought this was how my life would turn out when I was taken to the McGregor Institute for Wayward Wolves.

I found friends who turned into family. I had a stable home and love that poured out like a waterfall. This baby would be welcomed into a fortress surrounded by people who would go to war to keep the baby safe.

I couldn’t have asked for more.
