Day 12 Chapter 109
Day 12
Lana groggily turns over in bed, squinting at the clock to see that they only have forty-five minutes left to reach their destination and complete the check-in process. With a sense of urgency, she jumps out of bed and hastily throws on some clothes, turning to Adelmo to convey the pressing need to hurry.
"We're running out of time, we need to move quickly," she urges him, the urgency evident in her voice.
Adelmo, upon hearing Lana's urgent plea, quickly springs into action. He rushes over to Sierra's room, gently waking her up and informing her that they need to leave immediately in order to catch their flight.
"Hurry, we can't afford to miss this flight," he tells Sierra, the urgency of the situation palpable as he helps her gather her belongings and head towards the door.
With a sense of determination, Adelmo swiftly finishes packing their bags, grabbing what he can and instructing Lana to take care of the remaining items while he heads to the front desk to check out. As Lana and Sierra join him downstairs, they quickly make their way to the car and speed off towards the airport. Upon realizing that they also need to return the rental car, they make a quick stop before finally arriving at the airport just in time to hear the last call for boarding. With a sense of relief, they rush towards the terminal, narrowly making it onto the plane before takeoff.
As they handed over their tickets and stepped onto the plane, Adelmo and Lana couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. The anticipation of their dream coming true was almost overwhelming. However, amidst all the hustle and bustle, they failed to notice the peculiar sight that awaited them. They were too caught up in the moment to pay attention to the passengers around them.
It was only when they started searching for their assigned seats that Adelmo's eyes widened with disbelief. The number of people on the plane seemed unusually small. As he glanced around, his heart skipped a beat. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Vampires. Everywhere. It was as if his worst nightmare had come to life. These were the same vampires he had encountered during their previous trip to Germany. Panic started to set in, but Adelmo tried to remain calm for Lana's sake.
Adelmo leaned in closer to Lana, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Um... We might have a problem," he confessed, his eyes darting nervously around the cabin.
Lana's confusion was evident as she asked, "What kind of problem?"
Adelmo took a deep breath before revealing the shocking truth.
"Remember our dream? Well, I think it's about to become a reality. There are at least a dozen vampires on this plane right now."
Lana's eyes widened in fear as she realized the gravity of the situation.
"What are we going to do?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Adelmo reassured her, "Don't worry, I've hidden our swords in my bag. We'll use them if we have to."
The flight attendant went through the usual pre-flight announcements, ensuring that everyone was prepared for takeoff. As the plane began to move, gradually picking up speed, the passengers settled in their seats, anticipating the moment when they would soar into the sky. The aircraft reached the necessary velocity for takeoff, smoothly ascending to the ideal cruising altitude. With the seatbelt sign turned off, passengers felt at ease, unfastening their seatbelts to make themselves more comfortable for the duration of the flight.
Lana, feeling the need to use the restroom, excused herself from her seat and made her way down the aisle towards the back of the plane. Upon entering the restroom, she was startled to see a series of figures passing by the door, resembling werewolves. The sight sent a chill down her spine, and as she tried to process what she had just witnessed, the door suddenly slammed shut. Panic set in as Lana realized she was alone and vulnerable, with no means of contacting anyone for help. Her mind raced with thoughts of how to handle the situation, her heart pounding in her chest.
With trembling hands, Lana cautiously opened the restroom door, peering out into the aisle in an attempt to assess the situation. The sight of the mysterious figures still lingering in her mind, she hesitated to make a move, unsure of what lay ahead. As she mustered the courage to call out for assistance, the uncertainty of the circumstances weighed heavily on her. Lana knew she had to act swiftly and decisively to ensure her safety and that of those around her, bracing herself for whatever awaited her beyond the confines of the restroom door.
Lana's heart raced as the door swung open, revealing a menacing vampire standing before her. The vampire's eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity as he spoke, his voice dripping with a mix of allure and danger.
"You will be one of us," he declared, his words sending a shiver down Lana's spine.
Refusing to succumb to the vampire's persuasive words, Lana mustered up her courage and replied defiantly, her voice filled with determination.
"No, I won't. I will never be one of you," she declared, her eyes locked with the vampire's piercing gaze.
Sensing the imminent danger, Lana called out for Adelmo, her trusted companion. In an instant, Adelmo sprang into action, his hand swiftly reaching for his sword. With a fierce expression etched on his face, he bellowed at the vampire, his voice echoing with a mix of anger and protectiveness.
"Hey! Get away from her!" Adelmo warned, pointing his blade menacingly at the vampire as he positioned himself between Lana and the bloodthirsty creature.
Together, Lana and Adelmo stood their ground, refusing to let the vampire's threats intimidate them. The vampire, enraged by their defiance, unleashed his true form, his claws extending and fangs elongating. With lightning speed, he lunged towards Adelmo, but the skilled warrior was ready. In a swift motion, Adelmo swung his blade, severing the vampire's head from his body. As the lifeless corpse crumbled into dust, Lana and Adelmo shared a moment of relief, knowing they had triumphed over the supernatural threat.
