She entered the resort and after parking her car in the resort’s parking area, she walked in a normal phase to the restaurant. She was not in a hurry since she knew that she is still ten minutes earlier than the time that she and Dixon had agreed upon.
As she guessed it, Dixon was not yet in the resort’s restaurant when she arrived there. She sat on the table in the corner at the far end side of the restaurant to wait for Dixon. She ordered a cup of brewed coffee when one of the waitresses of the restaurant approached her.
Just five minutes of waiting and Daffodil already saw Dixon enter the restaurant. She waved her hand to him to catch his attention, by which, and he noticed her immediately. He walked fast to her table and sat on the chair beside her.
“Daff, I am happy that you came,” Dixon stated the moment he took a seat beside Daffodil. He then faced her and said with a serious expression. “Daff, I have visitors in my suite now and they are waiting for us. Come, we will just have our food delivered to my suite.”
Daffodil suddenly furrowed and looked at Dixon with doubt in her expression. She is engaged to be married to Lexus and going inside Dixon’s suite alone will definitely give a bad connotation to whoever will see her, who knew about her and Lexus. “No, I cannot come with you in your suite, Dixon. You know that I am getting married already and although we are good friends it might not be proper for me to enter your suite alone. I don’t want any problem to sprout between me and Lexus at this moment and forward,” she said with a firm tone.
Dixon seemed hurt when her expression all of a sudden turned dismal. “Daffodil, your parents are inside my suite. They just arrived this morning and they wanted to see you. It is supposed to be a surprise but I guess I need to do away with that surprise thing just for you to trust me and come with me.”
Daffodil’s eyes grew wide upon hearing the words of Dixon. “Dad and Mom, are here, Dixon? Oh, goodness, I have been guessing that they might be coming here. Let us go, Dixon, I wanted to see them.”
Dixon smiled and nodded and assisted her to stand up. They were both walking in hurried acts while going to the rented suite of Dixon.
The moment, Dixon opened the door of his suite, Daffodil without thinking a bit, ran inside the suite, and there she saw her adoptive parents, both sitting on the sofa in the living room area of Dixon’s suite. They were both smiling at her.
“Dad… Mom!” she rushed to them and hugged them both with longing.
“Surprised, Daff?” It was her Mom who asked, grinning broadly.
Daffodil nodded with tears in her eyes. “Indeed, Mom, I was surprised. Last night, I was worried because both of your mobile phones were out of reach, and when I called our house and office both of the people who took my calls, could not tell me where are you going to spend your vacation.”
“Because we did not inform them actually where we are going for vacation.” It was Mr. Marby who spoke this time while grinning widely too.

Daffodil lost track of time while she and her adoptive parents had a mix of serious and funny conversations. Dixon ordered their lunch from the resort’s restaurant and Daffodil totally forgot her promise to Lexus to join him to eat during lunchtime. She even failed to notice the series of messages in her inbox coming from Lexus.
They were having their lunch already when suddenly something just like a murmur hit her ears. It was Lexus’ voice as if trying to reach her. Her eyes grew wide.
“Oh my gosh! I totally forgot, Lexus!” she gasped and her adoptive parents furrowed.
“Dad, Mom, sorry, I forgot to tell you, Lexus is inviting you two to stay in their home so that you could also meet his father. Our wedding as you know is just three days from now,” she said, blurting out. “And, I also forgot that I promise to join him for lunch today, goodness. Dad, Mom, will you be coming with me now or we will just fetch you this afternoon?” she added.
“Oh, can you and Lexus just fetch us this afternoon? And tell him if Dixon could also join us since he is a family friend of ours,” Mr. Marby replied while looking at Dixon and smiling at Daffodil.
“Sure, Dad. I will ask Lexus. Alright, I got to go and Lexus and I will just come back here this afternoon.” Daffodil then hurriedly ran to the parking area after giving her adoptive parents, quick kisses on their cheeks.
As she sat in the driver's seat of her car, she got her phone and called Lexus, but he did not take her calls. She then sent a message informing him that she is coming back to the packhouse.
She drove out of the resort and just as her car got out of the resort’s main gate, she saw Lexus in his motorbike fast approaching. Her heart tumbled knowing that she is guilty of something toward him. She forgot to remember their lunchtime together and failed to reply to his messages in due time. Lexus might have been so worried already for him to decide to follow her to the resort. She then stopped her car on the side and got out of it then waved her hand at the fast-approaching motorbike driven by Lexus.
Lexus stopped abruptly beside her car and alighted from his motorbike. “Daffodil, what happened to you? You got me worried,” he said the moment he removed his helmet from his head. He was looking at her with a furrowed forehead.
Daffodil immediately approached him and hugged him then gave him a quick kiss on his lips to pacify him. “Sorry, Lex, I was too busy talking to my adoptive parents that I did not notice the time. Your guess last night was right. My adoptive parents came and they are with Dixon right now. We can just fetch them this afternoon, is it fine with you?” she stated smilingly, which slowly melted the bad mod of Lexus.
He hugged her back and kissed her deeply. “I was so worried, Sweety. Please do not do that again. We will fetch your parents then this afternoon. Come on, drive now and I will follow your car,” he then said calmly thereafter.
Daffodil smiled and felt relieved when she saw the calmness now in Lexus’ expression and voice tone.
“Thanks, Sweety. Let’s go now, then.” She then got inside her car and drove at minimal speed toward the packhouse of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack.
They arrived at the packhouse past mid-noon and had their lunch together. After their lunch, they had their coffee on the balcony on the second floor. While having their coffee, Daffodil took the opportunity to inform Lexus of her adoptive parents’ request about Dixon.
She cleared her throat first and then smiled at Lexus, “Sweety, Dad, and Mom were requesting if Dixon could come with them and stay here also while waiting for our wedding. They said that Dixon is a family friend and they cannot just leave him there at the resort.”
Lexus suddenly stiffened, put down his cup of coffee, and looked at Daffodil with an unfathomable expression.
