He let out a shaky breath as she touched his chest while Ethan tried to keep him from squirming away. Evan let out a sharp breath as his eyes started to become glassy as well. "Our parents Ethan, our brother. He took them, he took them from us!" He let out another sharp breath as his eyes looked like they were close to turning into a steady stream. "Mom, he took her from us, and Eli..." "I know Evan, I know," Ethan sighed out. Evan let out a shaky breath as Lyanna inched closer to him. He raised a hand to her as he squeezed his eyes shut. "Do you want to go home?" she gently asked. He shook his head. "No," he sucked in a breath then let it out. "I want to hear the rest, all of it." Ethan nodded. He looked at Lyanna who nodded at him. He backed away slowly while Lyanna took Evan's other hand in her's. "Ev? I'm right here," she said softly. He smiled and nodded before he let Lyanna help him up. He pulled her into his chest and blinked back tears as he buried his face into her hair. "Come on," she said as she started to pull him back to the table. I sat down next to Ethan again and kissed his shoulder before linking his hand in mine. Evan slumped down in his chair as Lyanna crawled back into her place on his lap, kissing the mark on his neck which seemed to calm him down some more. "Come here," Ethan whispered to me softly. I smiled and let him pull me into his lap; my head rested on his shoulder while he cradled me with one arm and traced the skin of my calves with the other. His beast was close again. Too close. I reached out over our bond and tried to calm him down, we needed to calm down. The emotions over the bond were almost too overwhelming; I kissed right below his mark, visibly relaxing him a little. "Thank you," he murmured against my hair. "Tell me the rest," Evan said quietly. "Before he killed dad–" Ethan paused and blinked hard before taking a deep breath. I rubbed his arm a little and leaned onto his shoulder. "He kept going off about all this weird bullshit. He more of less told dad that he was weak–" Evan was still vibrating from the growl that tore through his lips. "Our father was not weak," he bit out. "No he wasn't," Lyanna gently replied before she whispered something in his ear that seemed to calm him a little. Ethan nodded into his coffee mug. He set it down then passed me mine. "I know brother. He kept saying that dad more or less was weak and bad for the pack. He specifically spoke about the vampires, the treaty. He said something like 'making a treaty with those filthy bloodsuckers,' and referenced 'the old days.' He kept saying wolves would be strong again. That our line would be weak and his strong. "He also told dad that the only reason he let the three of us live was so he could keep us under his toe," Ethan practically snarled out. He looked up at Evan as his eyes churned a more murderous blue. "I'll be letting him know very soon how well that's worked out." Evan smiled. "Can't keep us under his toe if he doesn't have any." Ethan let out a chilling laugh and nodded. "Nope, that is true." He sighed and leaned us back in his chair. "He wanted to hurt Levi too. He said something like 'Tikanni won't be able to save you,' and called Levi 'scum.' "After it was done, Thomas walked over to some guy and chatted with him. It wasn't useful except the guy said something like 'don't forget to hold up your end of the deal' before he knocked Thomas out. Miranda had already gone back to her kids, I guess she was going to wait with them until someone came for them. "We saw Levi next, well Levi and me. When I found them, when Levi found them. Thomas was trying to pull me off Eli, but he was beat up badly. I ended up running to Levi, but Levi was about to lose it. He kept telling me to get back because I think he thought that when he snapped that he may hurt me." "Did he?" Evan asked. Ethan shook his head. "He snapped after I left. Lander tried to calm him down but it didn't work. That's it though, that's all we saw." "I just, I can't–" Evan's lip quivered a little. "I need a–" "Why don't you take one of the spare rooms upstairs? I think there's a bed in one. We can talk after we all rest a little, yes?" Evan looked over at me as pain swirled in his eyes and nodded. "Lyanna, do not let him leave this house, understand?" She looked at me and nodded as she stood with Evan. Evan trudged up the stairs with her, and with each step he took, we could hear soft sobs start to break through his lips. Sobs of anger, pain, wrath, anguish, and madness. It was all madness. Ethan had his head in his hands, his back was tense as he took a deep breath. I rubbed it gently then kissed his shoulder again. "Nap?" He looked up at me with tired eyes laced with sadness and nodded. He stood us up and started to walk to the stairs but he stopped us and looked up to the landing warily. "Let's sleep down here, I don't want Evan to try and make a break for it." I nodded. Ethan carried us to a couch by the door, a brown one with soft fabric. He laid down then turned us so I was on the inside of the couch, while he laid on his back with one leg off of it. We couldn't be too careful.
