I stilled as Ethan let out a hot breath. We stood and walked over to the door where Evan was walking in with Lyanna behind him. I felt pained at the sight of the blonde who reminded me so much of Lydia. "Brother." Evan nodded so Ethan before looking at me with a half-smile. "Little sister." "Hungry? There are pancakes?" I offered politely. Evan nodded slightly and walked towards the kitchen with Ethan. "Coffee too?" "Fresh in the pot Ev," I replied back over my shoulder. I walked quickly to Lyanna and rubbed my cheek against her as we hugged. "Lyanna, I need you to lock the door. Do you understand?" I whispered to her as we hugged. She nodded a little to me was Evan started to help himself to some coffee. "You have to keep him here, do you understand?" I whispered again. "I understand," she replied warily. I kissed her cheek and sighed. "It will be ok little lightning bug," I sighed as I pulled away with a smile tugging at my tired lips. I turned as Lyanna backed up to the door and locked it quietly and walked back over towards the kitchen. "Coffee and pancakes Lyanna?" "We already ate but coffee would be great please," she replied quickly as she trailed after me. "Well you heard your mate, go on Ev," I teased as I walked past him to sit next to Ethan at our kitchen table. He was sitting across from an empty seat where Evan would sit but had it angled so he could easily get out and chase his brother down if he needed to. Evan rolled his eyes at me and kissed Lyanna who pushed him to the table while she got her own coffee. He sighed and sat across from Ethan and flickered his eyes to both of us. "Tell me, tell me what you saw." Ethan blinked hard. I took his hand under the table and gave his a reassuring squeeze as Lyanna walked back over to us. She looked at me a then to Evan and nodded; setting her coffee next to Evan's so she could slide into his lap, smart girl. I gave her a slight nod of approval as Ethan let out a long sigh. "We saw it all Evan. That day. We saw it." "What?" Evan breathed out. He flickered his eyes between the two of us as his beast started to pace. "Tell me now Ethan. Tell me." Ethan nodded. "You have to promise you will stay here Evan. Do you understand?" "Tell me dammit," he grumbled a little. "We first saw the pack, the fire. It was all on fire like we remembered, and rogues were pouring in. I didn't even know so many existed. Then it took us to where we were. I saw gran and pop throw us in the shelter. I saw pop beat me back and drag you with one arm until they locked us in," Ethan said as Evan's jaw clenched. "Then I saw dad. It was dad, Eli, and Lucas. They were walking to go fight together in the pack house. They were trying to get a hold on everything, but they didn't realize how bad it must have been. I remember dad said something about getting Levi, but they didn't know that he was already under attack as well. "Holy shit," Evan breathed out. He shook his head then looked back up at Ethan. "What else? What else did you see?" Ethan sighed, his thumb was brushing the back of mine mindlessly under the table while he chewed on his words a little. "It went to Miranda. She took Arron and Amber to a shelter, I think in their cabin. It was a closet. "It took us to Tiknanni next, Levi was having to get rid of the rogues on his land. He didn't know. He didn't know they were here, but he kept ordering someone to call because I guess he couldn't link anyone. I think that it may have been the silver they were tied up with, but I'm not sure. "Then it took us there, Evan. To where they killed them. They had the men lined up parallel with the women on their knees. Rogues were everywhere watching, it wasn't even an execution, they were just killing them like dogs. "That's when Thomas got up from the dirt. It looked like he was dead until he got back up and walked over–" "What? no," Evan said as his voice broke a little. Ethan nodded sadly. "He did it, Evan. Miranda slit the throats of the women and he did the men. They did the women first so the men could watch. It was a silver knife, it–" Ethan was cut off before Evan had tossed Lyanna off of him and was headed towards the door. Ethan jumped up and ran after him while Lyanna scrambled up and trailed him. "Evan no!" she yelled. Evan roared, shaking the plates on the table as he got to the door. Thank God we locked it. He tried to yank it open but was quickly disappointed to find that it wouldn't budge. Before he could, Ethan was knocking him down to the ground, wrestling his brother who was shaking in anger and in pain. "He's our alpha!" Evan cried out. "He was his beta! That traitor! He killed them! We treated them like goddamn family!!" "I know Ev." Ethan's voice cracked a little as he held his brother down while Lyanna knelt down beside him. Her eyes were glassy as she reached out to Evan who was still shaking. "Ev?"
