Chapter 673 Research Technology of BlueTech Corporation

Chapter 673 Research Technology of BlueTech Corporation

Brad slammed both hands against the iron door, roaring with rage. Despite his age, his voice still boomed loud enough to shake the walls. He threw his weight into the alloy door, rattling it hard, but it didn't budge.

Larry watched Brad's outburst from outside the cell and smiled calmly. "Brad, do you still not see how this ends? Do you really think your people on the outside can pull you out of here?"

He turned to the special forces soldiers behind him and waved. "Open it."

A soldier stepped forward and unlocked the door.

The moment it cracked open, Brad lunged forward. Several assault rifles snapped onto him instantly. He froze, glaring at Larry with pure hatred.

"Back up," the soldier said coldly.

Brad had no choice but to step back.

Larry walked into the cell. Legion of Flame Surge soldiers brought in a chair. He sat down, lit a cigarette, and let the smoke drift slowly through the dark, damp dungeon.

"Brad, I'll admit I underestimated the Ward family. I thought you were just another wealthy dynasty. I didn't expect your network to run this deep — even the former commander of the Legion of Flame Surge is out there working every angle to get you released."

Brad stood to the side, eyes locked on Larry, his voice cold and sharp. "Larry, you just took control of Aurora Citadel. You don't understand how power actually works here, or who has what to lose. There are too many people at the top with skin in this game — this goes way beyond the Ward family. You can feel it, can't you? The pressure is just getting started. Keep pushing, and you won't be able to handle what comes next."

Brad was starting to calm down. The way he saw it, Larry had held him for over two months without daring to hand him over for trial. That meant fear. And now Larry was here in person — which meant the political pressure from outside had become too much to ignore.

"Pressure?" Larry laughed. "What pressure? I'm only here to confirm one thing."

"Is that so?" Brad looked skeptical.

Larry's tone was flat and even. "Why did the Ward family go after BlueTech Corporation? What did they develop that was worth that much to you? So much that even after you were caught, people on the outside are still doing everything they can to get their hands on it?"

Brad went quiet. He was trying to read Larry's real motive, looking for leverage. In his mind, Larry hadn't come here just for information about some technology. Most likely, the pressure from above had gotten to him, and he was here looking for a way to back down gracefully.

Ever since Larry had intercepted him mid-air during his escape attempt, Brad had known Larry was a supernatural Martial practitioner of terrifying ability. As the head of a top-tier dynasty, he understood better than most how tangled the relationships were between the supernatural Martial practices world and the military, government, and financial powers. His network had powerful officials in its pocket, touched hidden Martial practices financial factions, and even reached as far as the King. What he couldn't figure out was why, after more than two months, no one on the outside had made a serious move — and why Larry was still sitting comfortably at the top of the military.

"Brad, I'm giving you one last chance. Work with me, and I'll count it in your favor. I'll let you live. Otherwise, you're dead." Larry pressed harder.

"Larry, let me ask you something — what's actually happening out there right now?" Brad stared at him. Locked in this sealed room for over two months, he'd been completely cut off from any information.

"Brad, you still haven't given up? You're still holding out hope that someone can overturn a military tribunal's verdict?" Larry flicked the ash off his cigarette. "Who exactly is giving you that confidence? How much political weight can they actually throw around? If it's the old guard — the former Legion of Flame Surge commander and his people — I'll tell you straight: I'm going to dismantle them one by one. Within six months, every last one of them will be standing in front of a military tribunal."

That hit Brad like a punch to the chest. He hadn't expected Larry to be this ruthless.

"Larry, are you out of your mind? Do you have any idea what happens when you go after men like that? They built this federation. They bled for it in its early days. Touch them, and the whole federation falls apart."

"That's not your problem to worry about. If I'm willing to make the move, I can handle what comes after." Larry's expression didn't change.

Brad took two steps back. Several seconds passed before he pulled himself together. "No. You won't. You can't. You may be a supernatural Martial practitioner, but you have no idea how deep this goes. If you push this, the Eastern Trade Guild will come for you."

"Eastern Trade Guild?" Larry's brow furrowed slightly. Another cross-border power bloc? "Never heard of them."

Brad thought for a moment, then snorted. "Makes sense. You're not in that inner circle yet. No reason you'd know."

"Enough. Stop trying to scare me with names. Answer my question: what is BlueTech Corporation's core technology?" Larry cut him off. He wasn't in a rush to dig into the Eastern Trade Guild right now — he'd have intelligence run a full investigation after the interrogation.

"A next-generation high-dimensional communications technology," Brad said, this time without holding back.

"What does that mean exactly?"

Brad explained. "6G is rolling out globally, and traditional broadband has basically hit its ceiling. The biggest tech players in the world are all quietly working on what comes next."

Larry caught something in his tone. "What kind of technology?"

"Inside the industry, it's called the 'Z Protocol.' It's a complete leap beyond anything in quantum communications today."

Larry frowned slightly. "Say that in plain language."

"Give me a cigarette." Brad's eyes drifted to the one burning between Larry's fingers. After more than two months in isolation, he was desperate for one.

Larry tossed over the rest of the pack along with the lighter without a word.

Brad dropped onto the mat and lit one immediately, pulling in a long drag. "The industry is working on a mobile chip called the 'Z Microprocessor.' It can model data as a full holographic quantum construct. In simple terms — when you're on a call with someone, the chip captures and stores every biological detail of that person in real time and projects a full three-dimensional image of them right in front of you. Like they're actually standing there."

"Holographic projection?" Something shifted in Larry's expression.

"That's just the surface-level application. Once the Z network is fully deployed, everything goes completely digital. Any physical object can be virtualized. You could build a perfect simulated world. Not a game on a screen — we're talking about converting human consciousness and physical data directly into a full holographic simulation. The visual, audio, even tactile feedback would be indistinguishable from reality."

Once he got onto this topic, Brad couldn't stop. And Larry, listening to all of it, felt something close to awe. The pace of modern technology had moved further than he'd realized.

Larry's voice was steady. "So what BlueTech Corporation cracked was the core data behind the Z Protocol."

"Exactly." Brad exhaled a long stream of smoke. "They only had part of the foundational architecture at the time — barely past the starting line. But whoever gets that original algorithm can cut the remaining development time down exponentially. Twenty years at most, and Z technology becomes real. It rewrites the entire global tech landscape."
