Chapter 129 Proof of Innocence and Renewed Desire
Chapter 129 Proof of Innocence and Renewed Desire
Jonathan recounted in detail what had happened to his uncle. He would never have thought of killing Adam, but there was still a lack of proof. Until then, all he had was the word of the man who had done the cleanup and the child's father, who had not seen the exact moment of the shot. He had seen Adam approach with the gun in his hand and deduced that he had fired. The man also confirmed Adam's version of wanting to release him, which led him to believe that Adam was telling the truth.
"Adam, we have one month. That's the final deadline," Jonathan said.
"You mean that if in one month I don't prove my innocence... I'll be killed?"
"Don't worry, we'll send you to another country, you can rebuild your life there, but yes, that's the sentence."
"Jonathan, I'm not going to run away. If I don't prove that I'm innocent, I'll die... I was wrong to let Katryna interfere in my work. All of this is, in a way, my fault."
Katryna, for her part, had disappeared. She knew that if Adam proved his innocence, everyone would turn against her, and of course she didn't want to lose her life.
Adam spent almost a month at Jonathan and Elizabeth's house. He enjoyed following the first days of the pregnancy, liked the company of Jonathan and Anthony, and received many pieces of advice from James. He returned home to give the couple privacy. On the nights he couldn't sleep, he would go to the living room, but he felt embarrassed hearing some sounds coming from Elizabeth's bedroom. He thought it was better to await the decision about his life at home.
Adam was alone. Dave had gone to his father's house once again, and he was washing the car at the entrance to the garage. Adam stopped for a minute, thinking about Elizabeth's words. She was certain that he would still have time to find love and become a father, but he no longer saw that possibility. Still, he would accept his fate. He thought that Elizabeth would tell her son about the brave uncle who died for a mistake he had not committed.
Adam shook his head, pulling himself out of his thoughts. He narrowed his eyes and smiled. The solution to what he was going through had been right in front of him the whole time and he hadn't realized it. Immediately, Adam called Jonathan.
"Brother-in-law? I'm going to live... I already have a way to prove my innocence..."
Adam went inside and searched for the name of the neighborhood's security company. He spent hours until he found what he wanted. He asked Jonathan to convene the council. The content he was going to show would either seal his death or set him free.
"Look, gentlemen..." Adam said, pointing to the monitor. The house across from his had a security camera, and he had accessed the footage. It was possible to see Katryna picking up his gun, the child falling, and shortly after, Adam picking up the gun from the ground and trying to help the child.
"I think this is proof enough. Adam, you are free. No one can harm you for this," James said, relieved. He would have felt horrible if he had to kill the son of the woman he had once sworn to protect.
"But what about the murderer? She has to pay for this!" one of the men said.
"Katryna will no longer interfere in the business. She has really disappeared and knows she cannot return to my life," Adam said. "I was wrong. I should never have allowed her to see or, even worse, help me with what I do. I learned my lesson. And after ten years together, her punishment will be loneliness."
"I agree. You had your share of the blame in this, so I accept that things stay this way. But if by any chance you let her back into your life again, you will suffer the consequences!" James said.
"You have my word!"
Adam was free, and Elizabeth was even happier with the news.
The months passed quickly. Elizabeth was approaching her fifth month of pregnancy. She was well and energetic. Jonathan loved seeing the desire that grew in her eyes. He had never imagined that his pregnant wife would become even more beautiful and feel desires—not for food, but only for him.
Jonathan had just arrived home. He watched Elizabeth happily in the kitchen. She was wearing a dress and had music playing on her cell phone. She was mixing a salad and moving along with the music.
After the accident, Elizabeth started staying at home. She wouldn't work until the baby was born. She wasn't afraid of driving, but Jonathan was worried about her feeling ill and having an accident.
"Good afternoon, my wife. How was your day?"
"I'm good... I went out with Lays. We bought clothes for me and for Charles. Oh! I bought a mobile to put on the crib, but I don't know how to put that thing up. Can you do it?" Elizabeth said, running her hands over Jonathan's neck. She slid one hand down to his chest and then bit her lip.
"Should I take care of the crib or of you?" Jonathan smiled mischievously. He immediately noticed Elizabeth's naughty thought.
"Our son is only born in four months. The crib can wait..."
Jonathan kissed her and guided her to the kitchen table. He sat her on the table and pulled her to the edge. Jonathan knelt between her legs, moved her panties to the side, ran his fingers over her intimacy, and watched Elizabeth throw her head back and moan.
"You've been such a naughty girl lately..." Jonathan said, placing his mouth between her legs.
"Jonathan, I've been thinking about this all day..." Elizabeth said with a sigh.
Jonathan stayed there until he felt Elizabeth reach her limit.
"Come... Get down. I want you leaning on the table."
Jonathan turned her around, lifted one of Elizabeth's legs onto the table, entered her, and moved her hair to the side while thrusting into her repeatedly. He liked watching the look of pleasure on Elizabeth's face and took the opportunity to kiss her neck.
Jonathan continued until he heard Elizabeth moan louder and her body go limp with pleasure.
"Jonathan, stop, I'm already coming..."
"I thought that was what you wanted." Jonathan stopped and hugged her, kissing her face and mouth.
"Don't worry, darling. I won't leave you like this."
Elizabeth removed the open shirt from Jonathan and placed it on the floor. She knelt down and took his member into her mouth.
"That's it, Eliz. You know what I like..."
Elizabeth continued until Jonathan spilled into her mouth.
"Go take a shower. I'll meet you there."
Jonathan helped Elizabeth up and she went to the bathroom. Jonathan sat for a minute on the sofa. He thought that nothing could make him happier.
