I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. A white carpet leading to an arch with flowers, roses, daisies, lilies all in white it looked amazing and it smelled beautiful. Was this what Enzo wanted to wait for the flowers the candles in the sand and next to the arch a table with glasses and champagne. I was taking everything in every last detail. John was basically walking me down the aisle to the rest, they where all there standing waiting for me. A flashed went off that was the first time I realized there was even a photographer. “Oh, my word.” I said as I approached them. I could feel tears forming in my eyes. I’ve never in my life expected a man to proposed to me never mind four. When John and I got to the front John took his place next to Enzo. Enzo dropped to his knee in front of me so much like the first night we arrived but this time he had all the trimmings he wanted. “Angel from the first time I got you in my SUV and you got that panic attack I knew I’m going to marry you. I didn’t know how, I didn’t know if we will all see eye to eye but I knew I had to have you, so I’m on my knee in front of you asking you to marry me and become my wife?” I was sobbing the tears where streaming down my face. “Yes, Enzo Yes I’ll marry you.” I said again. He didn’t take out the ring he stood up gave me a kiss and stood next to me.
John was next he dropped to his knee. “Cat, I know in the beginning you didn’t really like me much but I’ve grown on you and after our trip to New York that first day out I knew I wanted to be with you I knew I wanted to be one of the men to marry you and make you the happiest girl in the world. I promise to always protect you and to always have your best interest at heart from now until the day I die. So please my love will you marry me?” I couldn’t stop crying. Enzo gave me a hanky just to wipe my nose. “Yes John, I will marry you, yes yes yes.” He got up took my face in his hands and kissed me. He didn’t mind that I was full of tears and probable snot as well. Next was Frank.
He moved to come and stand in front of me. He took my hand before he went to his knee. “Babe, I told you when I saw you in that bodega I knew there was something there. I didn’t know what it was. Was it friendship, love or lust but there was something there and with every day I’ve known you, love was the feeling that develop between us. In Vegas when we told each other we love each other that was the best day of my life I was so afraid I was the only one feeling it but when you said it back, I couldn’t believe my ears. But with that being said. “Will you please do me the honor of becoming my wife?” I couldn’t even smile for the fact that he made a joke all their declarations of love were so intense I thought my heart would burst with happiness. “Yes, Frank Yes, I will marry you. I will give you as much time as you need to decide if you want kids.” I winked at him. That put a smile on his face as well as the yes off course. He got up took my face in his, first kissed my forehead before he kissed me on the mouth. “Thank you babe.”
Last but not least was Nico, I wondered what he was going to say. He got on his knee in front of me looked up at me and said “The two of us had a rocky start. I was an ass and I would have understood if you never ever would have forgiven me my jealousy got the better of me and I’m still sorry about that. But you with your big heart gave me another chance and I am more grateful for that than you can ever imagine. The trip to Disney was the best thing we could have done and the day we declared our love for each other, Cat I will never forget that for as long as I live. I don’t deserve a second chance but believe me I will take it. I want to be part of your love story I want to be part of this family. The outside world will not understand what we have but we do. So, I’m standing here on my knee humbling asking you if you will be my wife?” I was sobbing by now I mean everyone deserve a second chance in life why wouldn’t I have given him one. “Yes, Nico I will marry you.” Enzo got on his knee in front of me again and open the box. I made a sound like I was surprised as he slipped the ring on my finger. “There is a stone for all four of us, each being our birth stone.” Enzo explained again. “It’s absolutely beautiful thank you thank you thank you.” I said.
Nico pulled me towards him and hugged me before he kissed me and said. “I’m serious Cat thank you for giving me another chance. Thank you for saying yes to me.” “It’s my pleasure Nico. Thank you for showing me who you really are.” “I’ll always be this person for you.” I was pulled away from him by Enzo who gave me a glass of champagne and when I looked around me everyone had a glass in hand. Enzo lifted his glass high up in the air. “To US, to marriage, wealth, lots of kids and the most beautiful women in the world.” “Saluti.” Everyone said. And there I was in tears again.
