Everyone was laughing and still in the pool while I started with the steak on the BBQ. Nico had disappeared to make sure everything on the beach was set up right and how we wanted it. John and Frank were entertaining Cat in the pool. I’m not sure if she realized Nico was gone but the way Frank and John were going on there wasn’t time for her to miss any of us. After a while Nico came back and stood with me at the BBQ. “Everything is set.” “Great thank you Nico.” “How are we going to get her on the beach?” “We’ve been walking on the beach every night getting her there won’t be a problem.” “Good you need help?” “No go join them.” He walked to the pool and joined the three of them. “Where were you?” Cat asked when he got in the pool. “Just went to look at something in my room.” Cat looked at him suspiciously but didn’t say a word. When I was ready with the food I got all of them out of the pool and we ate.
“So how is Hawaii so far?” John asked Cat. “Very nice I love it here. It’s so peaceful.” “Should we buy a place here?” I asked her. She choked on her salad. Frank hit her on her back “What buy a place here?” “If you like it then yes, I don’t like living in hotels and having our own place here for holidays, why not? We can bring the kids?” Cat smiled but Frank was looking down at his plate. “You still not sure?” John put him on the spot. “Seriously John leave the man alone.” Cat said. “No but I would like to know why he gets so quiet when we bring up kids?” “Maybe his not ready for them yet.” “Or ever.” Frank mumbled. “You do know if we all stay together and we all have kids with Cat there will be kids in the house, right?” Nico asked him.
“I don’t have a problem with kids I’m just not sure I want kids of my own.” “Well at least you don’t have to decide right now Frank.” “But you want kids?” Frank said. “Well between Enzo, John and Nico I’ll be pregnant a lot so there is no rush when it comes to you. Take your time. I will have my kids with the others. If you don’t want kids it’s not a train smash Frank I would understand.” Cat told him. “Yes, but your mom won’t be as happy.” John reminded him. “I’ll deal with my mom okay.” “Fine we won’t talk about kids with you.” John said. While we were on the topic of kids I decided to bring up the fact that Cat and I decided to try for a family immediately. I didn’t know how they were going to take it but here it goes.
“While we are on the subject of kids Cat and I have something to tell you.” Cat looked at me with big eyes she probable can’t believe I’m bringing it up, but rather now we are going to ask her to marry us tonight they can’t be in a bad mood for that. “Cat wants kids as soon as possible so we are trying for a baby.” “What?” John said getting off his chair making it actually fall backwards. “Cat stop her birth control and we’ve been going at it like rabbits.” I said like it was nothing and I see no reason for anyone to be upset. But I did see a reason because if it was any of the others that did what I did I would have been upset. “You get to marry her, why do you need to have the first child as well?” John asked. Nico was quiet I thought he might also have a problem but apparently not. “Don’t you think as her lawful husband I should have the first child?” I threw that one in there I knew it must have stung. John just gave me a look. But Cat got up and walked to John making him sit in his chair again. “You can have the second one if Nico doesn’t mind?” She tried but John was actually pissed. “I don’t have a choice in the matter in any case so whatever.” “John don’t be like that.” “Like what Cat? Upset?” “Yes, don’t be upset we are all here, we all love each other why does it matter whose child I carry first. I want to start with a family and it made sense to start with Enzo.” She told him still sitting in his lap. She leaned in closer and whispered in his ear. I couldn’t hear what she was saying but she calmed him down and said “Okay if that is what Cat wants.” “Maybe you should tell us what you whispered in his ear that we can do the same when he get’s unreasonable.” Frank said. “Nope it’s our secret.” Cat said.
After dinner we all went upstairs to get something warmer to wear to the beach. Cat was wearing a sundress with her Denim jacket she looked amazing. She looked so healthy with her sun kissed skin and her brown hair that looked even more beautiful than always. When we got each other at the back door John took Cat’s hand and walked with her to the beach.

After I whispered in John’s ear that I love him and that it doesn’t matter when we have kids the fact is we will have kids because we are going to spend the rest of our life together. He relaxed a bit which was good. I mean I didn’t know why Enzo told them but he did and it was out in the open now. John took my hand as we walked to the beach but as soon as my feet hit the sand there was a white carpet leading to an arch. “Oh my God” I said with my hands in front of my mouth. “Is this what I think it is?” I asked so excited because I couldn’t wait to get my ring back on my finger. Enzo walked way in front of us and Nico and Frank jogged to get to him. “Is this really happening John?” “What love? Is what really happening?” He asked like he didn’t know what I was talking about.
