Chapter 29 Sedated Sins.
Chapter 29 Sedated Sins.
Enzo's POV
That day, with the sedative making everything feel amplified and distant at the same time, it was intense, her nails digging into my sides as she rode me harder and picked up speed, her breath coming in pants that matched mine.
"You miss this, don't you?" she taunted, leaning down to bite my lip during a fierce kiss, her tongue invading as her body slammed down, the bed creaking under us.
I thrust back as much as I could, the cords biting into my wrists, the friction building that familiar pressure, hot and insistent. "Admit it, Enzo, no one else does it like this, the way we'd destroy each other and leave bruises as souvenirs."
The room filled with our labored breaths, the slap of skin on skin and her moans mixing with my grunts as she quickened the pace, her hands roaming over my chest, pinching and scratching, adding layers of sensation that the drug turned into fireworks.
I felt myself getting closer, the haze making it all surreal, like I was watching it happen while feeling every bit, and she sensed it, grinding deeper, her body clenching tight around me. "Come on," she urged, her voice breaking, "give in like old times."
"Come for me," she demanded, reaching around to circle her clit with her fingers.
She shattered first, her cry sharp and echoing, her nails digging deep into my shoulders as she convulsed and that pulled me right over the edge, my release hitting like a wave crashing, hard and unrelenting in the sedative's grip, leaving me gasping.
She lingered for a moment, catching her breath with her forehead against my chest, then pulled away slowly, straightening her clothes with that satisfied smirk I knew too well.
"That was for what we had," she said, her tone mocking now. "Now let Aria see you like this, broken and marked by me; it'll drive her crazy."
She slipped out through a narrow back exit hidden behind an old tapestry, her silhouette flickering for a brief second before vanishing into the shadows of the estate.
The faint whisper of her footsteps faded, swallowed by the night, leaving me sprawled on the bed with the distant pop of gunfire echoing somewhere beyond the walls and a reminder that chaos still reigned outside while I lay trapped inside it.
My mind was beginning to clear, the drug wearing off like a fading fog, but my body was slow to follow. Every muscle felt weighted, drained.
The sting of her bites and the dull ache of scratches pulsed across my skin, each mark burning like a mocking reminder of my weakness. I tugged at the cords binding my wrists, testing their strength, but my movements were sluggish and uncoordinated.
The knots bit into my skin when I pulled too hard. Without my full strength, escape was impossible for now. So I waited, breathing through the throbbing pain, fury simmering beneath the exhaustion.
Anger curled low in my gut, not just at Sofia for the betrayal and for the manipulation, but at myself. I should have seen it coming. I should have known better than to let instinct and desire override caution, even in a haze.
Time slipped strangely, stretching and collapsing in on itself. Maybe it was a few minutes, or maybe more, before I heard it, the sound of movement beyond the door.
A steady, determined push, the faint creak of wood under pressure, then the sharp crack of the latch giving way.
Footsteps followed, light, quick and purposeful. The door burst open, hitting the wall with a jarring thud. Aria stood framed in the doorway, breathless, eyes wide as they landed on me, tied, bruised and glaring.
As my clothes were torn open, my body bare from the waist down, half awake with those restraints still holding me, the bite marks and scratches stood out red on my skin.
"Oh god, Enzo," she rushed to my side, her hands fumbling to untie the cords around my wrists, her face pale with worry and something else, maybe hurt, as she saw the evidence of what had gone down. "Hold on, I'm here," she said, her voice shaking. "Did she force this on you?"
I blinked up at her, my voice thick and slurred from the lingering effects of the injection, trying to piece words together.
"Aria... she injected... then it just... old patterns took over," I managed, trailing off because explaining it fully felt impossible right now, my eyes struggling to focus as she pulled the sheet over me for some coverage.
She grabbed my pants from the floor, helping slide them on and zip them up.
Her movements were quick but gentle, though I could see the anger flashing in her eyes, mixed with a sharp pang of jealousy, maybe, as she avoided looking too long at the marks. "We need to get you out of here," she said firmly. "Stay with me, Enzo."
She pressed her earpiece then, calling out urgently, "Marco, Lucia, east wing bedroom, now. Enzo's hurt but conscious; bring backup if you can."
They arrived fast, Marco kicking the door wider as he entered, his face twisting in shock at my state, the restraints and bites painting a clear picture without me saying a word. "What happened to him?" he asked, moving to help. "Looks like he got worked over bad."
Lucia came in right behind, checking my vitals with a quick press to my neck, her expression professional but concerned. "Pulse is steady but slow," she reported, "probably a fast-acting sedative. We can move him but carefully; no telling how long it'll last fully."
They worked together to get me upright, my arm slung over Marco's shoulder for support as I mumbled something half-formed, the drug still clouding my thoughts and making everything feel distant.
We steadied ourselves, starting toward the door slowly, but just as we got moving, Aria's phone buzzed loudly in her pocket, an incoming call from some unknown number cutting through the tension like a knife.
She fished it out, glancing at the screen with hesitation written all over her face, but she answered anyway, holding it to her ear. "Who is this?" she said sharply. "What do you want?"
I couldn't hear the other side clearly, but her face went rigid, eyes widening as the voice on the line spoke and then the call cut off abruptly, leaving her staring at the phone like it had burned her.
The others waited for her to explain, but she just stood there frozen, the threat hanging in the air unspoken and I knew from her look that whatever Luca had said, it was designed to twist the knife deeper and pull us into his next trap before we could even catch our breath.
