Chapter 37 Their Gift
Trixie's POV
After they left I went over and sat on the sofa where they were sitting. Their wonderful scent all around me.
What just happened. Mates. Two of them. They are Lycans. They are twins. They are The Kings. Twin Kings. Twin Lycan Kings. My thoughts are rambling together, so fast, all at once.
They are not going to reject me. They want me. No Wait. Does this mean. No it can't.
" Yes Queen Trixie. It does mean Exactly that. " Leigha says proudly.
"You knew" I whisper.
A knock at the door stops me from my rambling thoughts. It's Samantha. I walk over and open the door. " Sam come in. " I say to her as I motion for her to walk in.
"Was that the Kings? Were they here? What did they want? What did they say?" She shoots out several questions all in one breath.
I shake my head and smile at her behavior.
Do I tell her. Am I even allowed to tell her. Can I trust her. If I tell her, where do I start.
So much has happened so fast. My thoughts start to ramble nonstop again.
"Well hello Sam, How are you. I'm alright, thanks for asking. " I say sarcastically as I smirk at her.
She looks at me sheepishly and then smiles.
"Omg Trix have you heard, The kings are dismissing all the "lady's waiting". They all will be out of the palace by tomorrow. There's so many rumors to why. One was that they started trouble with someone important and they all got kicked out. I also heard that the kings have found their mate so there's no need for them to be around anymore. Omg I also heard," she went on explaining every rumor she heard. Damn, it sounds like that's the talk of the palace right now.
So they are really kicking them out. Wow they really take care of things quickly. I guess they really do want me as their mate.
"Oh I almost forgot. I was supposed to deliver this to you. Come on open it. Let's see what's inside. " she says excitedly.
" Who's it from. " I ask
She shrugs her shoulders " Don't know, I was headed to your room to see if you needed any help getting ready for the ball. I was stopped by Darien, asking me to give this to you when I saw the kings leaving your room. " she says as she wiggles her eyebrows.
"oh" is all I could think of saying.
Before I could even open the box to see what was inside Darien came into the room followed by two others.
He asked Samantha to go downstairs and help get things ready for tonight.
"My Queen" he bows. He then introduced me to the others that came in with him. He explained to me that they were here to get me ready for the ball. They were to do my hair and makeup and help me get into my dress.
As he turned around to leave his eyes glazed over. " My Queen, I was just informed, due to safety reasons, the kings will personally escort you to the ball this evening. " he says with a smile. " Is everything alright. " I ask him.
" Nothing for you to worry about my Queen. We have everything under control. The kings just want to take extra precautions when it comes to you. " he says.
For the next two hours I have my hair and makeup done and now it's time to get dressed. Wait. What am I'm supposed to wear.
As I am spiraling they remind me of the box that Sam delivered to me. Oh, I forgot about that.
I open it up and freeze. No way. Who sent this. There's a note on top. I pull out the note to read it first before I get out the contents.
The note read: Our Queen. A beautiful Queen needs a beautiful dress. We can't wait to see you in it. Signed You Kings.
They are so sweet.
I pull out the dress and they help me get it on. The gown was a sequence body fitting, floor length, off the shoulders maroon gown with a slit up to my thighs. At the hips there was silk ruffles on each side that went down to the floor. The dress is the most beautiful dress I have ever saw in my life. Included was a pair of maroon heals and a ruby and teardrop diamond necklace with earrings to match.
After I was completely ready I went to the floor length mirror. I paused for a good while. I was stunned. I look absolutely beautiful. I don't even look like myself. I look like a Queen.
