Chapter 49: Lucius

Gabriella.

Since Alpha Arman's Luna came here to Silver Fang, Alpha Viktor had been busy preparing for the attack of the rogue werewolves.

He conducted an Alpha meeting to inform the other Alphas what was happening to the kingdom, and they all agreed to end Alpha Arman's plan and the Rogue werewolves.

"You need a rest, Alpha Viktor," I interrupted him.

He stopped what he was doing and looked at me. I smiled at him and walked in front of him.

"After I finish this," he answered.

I took a deep breath, "You haven't rested properly for a few days, Alpha Viktor. Maybe what will happen to your body," I worried about him.

He smiled at me before answering, "Don't worry, Gabriella. I can manage myself, and besides, we need to win this fight."

"I know you are strong, Alpha Viktor, but we don't know what will happen if you abuse your body. So, stop what you are doing now, and rest!" I said with authority in my voice.

"You will accompany me to my room?" he asked, and there was something in his voice.

"Nope, I will go to Mom," I replied shortly.

I could see the dismay on his face, so I approached him and tapped my hand on his shoulder.

"After all this, there's no reason why I shouldn't accompany you to the places you want, Alpha Viktor," I took back what I told him.

"You said that, Gabriella. I will never forget those words!"

"Don't you worry? I have one word," I said while smiling.

He stood in his seat, "But, you will accompany me walking to my room," he said.

Alpha Viktor and I walked together out of his office and into his room.

"Just stay in Paradise, Gabriella," he suddenly told me.

All civilian members of Silver Fang were in a place they called Paradise. No one knew where Paradise was. Only the members of the Silver Fang knew about that place.

"I can handle this war and defeat them. I already talked to the other Alphas, and you know they will give us hands to eliminate the rogue werewolves and Alpha Arman."

I looked at Alpha Viktor because of what he said. I know Alpha Viktor can win the fight, he was smart and a good strategist, but I want to help.

"I have to face Alpha Arman, Alpha Viktor," I said.

"Actually, it's against me...should I say, it's against Mom and me because Alpha Arman wants to get Mom!" I continued.

Alpha Viktor took my hand. He looked at me with concern.

"But you don't need to do that thing, Gabriella. What if you get hurt?"

I smiled, "Don't worry about me, Alpha Viktor. I'm invincible. You know what I can do, don't you?" I assured him.

"You can't take away my worries, Gabriella. If I lose you too, I don't know what I'll do. I don't know what I'll think," he sincerely said, which made me think.

"Why? It seems like something happened in your past that you can't forget," I asked.

He was quiet and started walking again. I followed him until we both arrived in front of his room.

"You already know a lot about me, Alpha Viktor, but I, I still don't know what your life has been like," I said.

"When this is all over, you'll know too, Gabriella. Let's not talk about it yet," he replied.

I nodded. If he doesn't want to tell me, I can't do anything. I respect his decision.

"In that case, go inside and rest. I'll go over to Mom to be with her."

Before he entered his room, he kissed my forehead. I felt a warm sensation because of what he has done.

"Give my regards to your mom, Gabriella."

I gave him a sweet smile and hugged him.

While we were hugging each other, we heard footsteps.

"Alpha Viktor! The rogue werewolves are here!!" he shouted.

My eyes widened because of the news brought by the Warrior.

"Stay here, Gabriella. Don't ever come out!!" Alpha Viktor ordered.

"No!! I'll come with you, Alpha Viktor. We'll finish this together!" I insisted.

Alpha Viktor looked at me for a few seconds.

"Ok, but if you are in danger, please, run away!!"

"You know what I am capable of, Alpha Viktor. I can take care of myself," I replied.

We quickly ran out of the Palace. As we exited, loud growls filled the entire Silver Fang. We saw the rogue werewolves fighting the warriors of the Silver Fang and other packs in the Kingdom. The warriors of the other Packs have been here long enough to be ready for the onslaught of the Rogue werewolves.

"What's happening?" I heard Alpha Viktor ask himself.

I could see the difference between the warriors and the rogue werewolves. Rogue werewolves attack stronger and faster. The warriors could not keep up with their attack, and many werewolves had fallen, but only a few of the rogue werewolves.

"Call the attention of the Golden Warriors!!!" Alpha Viktor yelled.

After he shouted, he looked at me, "Always be careful, Gabriella. Just stay behind me!"

I answered him with a nod. He shifted into his werewolf form and quickly engaged in battle.

Silver Fang became heated due to the battle that was going on. I could see the abilities of Alpha Viktor. No wonder he was an Alpha. Strong, agile, and no matter what the Rogue werewolves did, they had no fight on him. The only problem was that the Rogue werewolves were outnumbered.

I can't believe that there were so many members of rogue werewolves. There were more of the warriors of the combined pack here in the Kingdom.

Due to the unexpected attack of the rogue werewolves, the other Alphas were not present. I was surprised that they were gone today. When the other Alphas weren't around, that was the day they attacked!

I cleared my mind. I need to help them fight the rogue werewolves.

Now, I can control my ability as a Legendary Werewolf. When I touch the rogue werewolves, they stop attacking and revert to their human form. They also lose consciousness as if they lost their strength, just like what happened to Alpha Arman and his Luna before.

The battle lasted for several hours. Warriors and rogue werewolves were slowly being depleted. But since the Rogue werewolves were outnumbered, I knew we would soon fall.

Almost half an hour passed, and many warriors were wounded and could no longer fight. Even the Golden Warriors were having second thoughts about fighting because it was obvious that we were at a disadvantage.

I swallowed when I saw Alpha Arman. He was in his human form while fighting the warriors. He was smiling while walking towards Alpha Viktor.

Not long after, Alpha Arman stopped in front of us.

"I can't believe that the second largest and strongest Pack in the Kingdom will fall!" Alpha Arman mocked Alpha Viktor.

"You know what? Even if you call all the warriors in the different Pack here in the Kingdom, you will not win against us, Alpha Viktor!" he continued.

I heard a loud growl from Alpha Viktor as he faced Alpha Arman.

Alpha Arman suddenly looked at me, smiling as if there was an insult.

"Amanda made a huge mistake because she couldn't kill you, Gabriella," he said, which made my eyes widen.

What did he say? Amanda tried to kill me?

"I don't know if you were just lucky to survive Amanda, and I plan to ambush you, Gabriella. But now, you can't escape anymore! I'm going to kill you, and I'm going to take your mother!!"

I clenched my fists, my teeth gnashed, and my whole body trembled because of what I found out!

Javier was right. He had nothing to do with everything that happened to me because the mastermind of what happened was Amanda and Alpha Arman!

"Why? Why are you doing this, Alpha Arman?" I asked him.

"Why? Because of Mathias! Because of your father!!" He shouted back at me.

"If Mathias hadn't intervened, Eliza and I would have been together! I did everything to get what I wanted, and I won't stop until I get Eliza permanently!!"

"You will not succeed in your plans, Alpha Arman! I will not allow what happened to the Blue River Pack to happen again!!" I shouted at him.

He laughed so hard because I said, "I'm not going to talk anymore because I'm going to kill you!!" I replied.

He quickly ran towards me to attack. Because of his speed, I couldn't move immediately. I saw Alpha Arman's hands raised towards me as he approached me. Because of the panic, I knew I wouldn't be able to avoid his attack.

But before he could attack me, Alpha Viktor stopped him. They rolled on the ground. Alpha Viktor bit Alpha Arman's arm. Alpha Arman strongly avoided Viktor even though he was not shifting into his werewolf form.

I frowned when I saw Alpha Arman's arm. Black smoke was coming out of his wound, and after a few moments, his wounds disappeared as if nothing had happened.

"I don't know why I can't shift into my werewolf form, but I can assure you that I will succeed!" he said while looking at me.

He looked at Alpha Viktor. Alpha Arman quickly attacked Alpha Viktor. Alpha Viktor became alert, and the two of them fought. The other rogue werewolves were still fighting other warriors who could fight, so they faced one-on-one.

Alpha Viktor did everything he could to fight Alpha Arman. He managed to injure Alpha Arman, but his wounds disappeared within seconds. I didn't know if Alpha Arman's wounds healed really fast because of his abilities or if there was another reason.

Alpha Viktor was struggling in their battle. Even if other warriors wanted to help, they were easily defeated by Alpha Arman.

Is Alpha Arman really this strong?

"Alpha Victor!!"

I shouted when I saw Alpha Arman use his hand on Alpha Viktor's right chest.

My eyes widened when I saw Alpha Viktor's body slowly falling to the ground. He gradually returned to his human form while Alpha Arman looked at him, grinning.

"I know you are strong, Alpha Viktor, but because of the power given to me, you can't do anything but land on the ground!!" I heard Alpha Arman say to him.

Given power?

What does Alpha Arman say?

Because of what happened to Alpha Viktor, the warriors gradually retreated.

Alpha Arman was not satisfied yet. Even though Alpha Viktor was lying on the ground, he didn't stop kicking Alpha Viktor while laughing loudly.

My breathing became heavy because of what I was seeing. My hands clenched as I watched Alpha Arman doing to Alpha Viktor.

"Gabriella," I heard Tala call me.

"Alpha Arman is different now. He's not the Alpha Arman he used to be!!" she informed me.

"What do you mean, Tala?" I asked her.

"I can feel on him the presence of Lucius!!" she replied.

"Lucius? Who is he?" I asked.

"Lucius, he is one that we, The Legendary werewolves, are preparing, Gabriella! He is the devil who started the race of the werewolves to enslave them!!"
