When Genni had finished in the kitchen with Martha she decided to go to the training ground to see Jonas. As she came around the corner heading for the front door Genni saw Dr Julia. Waving over to her but not wanting to bother her Genni made her way to the door. As she got there so did the doc. “After you, your Grace,” said Julia softly. Smiling at her now Genni thanked her and asked why she hadn’t come over to say hi. “Your Grace, I would never presume to think that you would give me the time of day!” Julia said this with a light flush on her cheeks. “And I didn’t want to approach you in case you had someone to see” stated Genni. “Well, that’s a lesson learned then, isn’t it? , to be honest I’m not too sure where the training ground is” Blushing a little Genni hoped that by admitting that she hadn’t embarrassed herself too much. Julia said she was going that way anyway as she had to go and check on the fighters. Frowning Genni said fighters? ‘Yes’ said Julia ‘The training schedule is being updated and training is now compulsory for any young wolf I’ve been informed that there have been several injuries and whilst we are capable of healing ourselves I still want to go over and check to make sure that’s exactly what they’re doing’. Nodding and understanding the importance of the situation Genni agreed that it should be checked out. Genni started chatting with Julia as they continued to walk across the yard that separated the pack house from the academy and arena, asking how she and Wyatt are doing, Genni saw Julia had that smile on her face, you know the one, the one where you know the person you’re talking to is deeply in love with someone. ‘Wyatt is extremely busy at the moment as he is one of the top warriors he is also one of the trainers in the academy, so we are seeing a little less of each other but neither of us minds because it’s so very important to make sure that all available warriors in whatever class they are in, have the most up-to-date fighting techniques so the more training we get the better they are. it’s that simple. Ginny agreed with her on this of course, but she was still a little worried and voiced that worry to Julia ‘You are taking time for yourselves, aren’t you? I’m not sure how long you and Wyatt have been together but I’m sure you still…. you know... Ginny blushed to the roots of her hair as she realised exactly what she was saying to the other woman, Julia on the other hand found it hysterical and burst out laughing and then she realised who she was laughing at and then she blushed to the to the hair. Both women tried to talk at the same time to apologise but this just made them laugh even harder they were laughing so hard that they had to stop halfway between the Packhouse and the arena. Genni was holding her stomach she had laughed so hard and Julia had actual tears running down her cheeks. ‘Enough, enough’ begged Julia hiccuping as she tried to stop laughing, ‘your Grace we really should…… your grace’? Julia looked at Ginny and with a worried expression on her face walked a little closer to her Luna. ‘Your Grace’ Julia says again ‘Your Grace, can you hear me’? Julia's mind linked Wyatt and told him to get the Alpha to them as soon as was physically possible and by the time Jonas, Gregory, Wyatt, Daniel and Lucas got to them Julia was starting to freak out. ‘What happened? What’s going on shouted Jonas making Julia jump and Wyatt growl. placing her hand on Wyatt‘s arm she quietened her mate and said ‘Alpha, I don’t know what happened.We were walking across the yard as I was going to attend to the injured at the arena and Luna wanted to see you. We had made each other laugh and while we were laughing she just seem to freeze, it’s like, she was breathing and it was almost as if she was seeing something because her pupils keep contracting and then dilating. as if you were looking at something or someone but I’m speaking to her and there’s just no response’. Six pairs of eyes all looked at Genni. Jonas approached her cautiously ‘My love’ he whispered as he stood just in front of her ‘My love can you hear me’ Jonas‘s voice was so tender as he tried to get his mate's attention Julia could feel a lump forming in her throat. Jonas turned and looked at her father he shrugged his shoulders and sent him a silent plea, so Daniel stepped forward ‘Genevieve sweetheart it’s dad, can you hear me? do you know where you are?can you talk to me? Genni’s eyes didn’t even flicker let alone blink becoming anxious now Jonas suggested taking her in doors but Julia stopped him and said ‘Alpha I already tried. I can’t move her, like I said it’s as if she’s frozen. Jonas went to pick Genni’s hand up in his own but found he couldn’t, he couldn’t move her hand so trying the other one he found the same. it was indeed as if her body was completely frozen. They all stood around brainstorming as to what they should do. Lucas, seriously concerned about his sister went to stand by her and just look into her eyes it was as the doc said her eyes seem to be dilating and then contracting as one’s eyes would if you were looking at something or reading something. Puzzled Lucas stepped a little closer and thinking that he saw something quickly put his face right in front of his sister’s so that their noses were almost touching. ‘what are you doing’ asked Daniel ‘Leave her be, you don’t know if you’ll harm her in someways’. ‘No Dad look’ Lucas said gesturing his father over ‘Look into her eyes I mean look into her eyes’ Before Daniel could get there Julia more or less shoved Lucas out of the way and did as he asked he looked into the Luna‘s eyes. Julia gasped ‘OMG, you’re right, oh my gosh you’re right. why didn’t I see that’ chastising herself for not even thinking to look for what Lucas had found Julia turned to Jonas and said ‘I think she may be in what she calls a trance-shift’? Walking forward now so that he stood in front of Genni he demanded to know what it was that they had seen, patiently trying to explain to her extremely het up Alpha Julia told him to look at her eyes. turning back around but clearly with frustration and anger brewing just under the surface Jonas did as the doctor said and then he realised what everyone else had been seeing, ‘it’s like one eye is Genni and the other eye is Sapphire’s” said Lucas. ‘You’ve Gotta admit that’s just cool’ Lucas bowed his head slightly from the look his father gave him, ‘Apologies Alpha, I didn’t mean to be so glib’. ‘Nonsense Lucas you’re fine’ and turning around to address the doctor Jonas asked ‘Have you ever seen anything like this before where your wolf is looking out of your eyes the same time you are as in the wolf is in one eye and she’s in the other’? Jonas realise just how ridiculous he sounded shaking his head to clear it Jonas turn back to Ginny this time he put both of his hands on her shoulders trying to embrace her but as her body was resistant to moving he just let his arms fall by his side. Gregory asked ‘how long exactly has she been like this’ looking at the doc waited for her answer but Julia who was currently receiving a hug from her mate said sniffling ‘I’d say about 15 minutes’ Greg looked at Jonas and then asked ‘do you have any idea how long this trance- shift things that she goes through last? Jonas nodded his head ‘Sometimes they can go on for hours and then other times she’s only out for 10 minutes it all depends on what or who is showing them something’. Not being able to stand there and just stare at her Jonas walked around so he was standing behind her and putting his arms around her waist he settled himself so that his chest was touching her back what Jonas didn’t expect was what happened next.
Jonas felt a jolt of electricity pass from Genni’s back to his chest. He then felt a physical pull toward her, it felt like they had become magnetised to each other. Not a second after that jolt, Jonas open his eyes to find her was no longer in the yard by the pack house. He was in a forest somewhere, not the Empire Forest for that had more sunlight streaming through the canopy. This forest was almost dark, the canopy was so thick.
Then he heard it, he smelt and what he saw next made him shout out. They were in the middle of a battlefield. Jonas could see werewolves laying on the ground, dead. He could hear the howls of the surviving werewolves, and he could see blood. It was everywhere, wherever he turned he saw it. He tried to get Genni to move, unfortunately, it was the same situation he was dealing with back in the yard. Jonas could see Vampire’s and the Faye, united together in their fight for dominance. Surrounding the battle Jonas could see Mage, their hands out while they chanted some spell. Jonas could not see whose side they were fighting for and he could feel an uneasiness spread through his body. Genni was still standing, in the same position she was standing in the yard and there was still no sign of her moving. Jonas started panicking, he had never had this feeling before. He always knew what to do. He didn’t understand how he was seeing this. Whatever this was, it was coming from the goddess. Did it show the future? Was he joined with Genni because he touched her? Frustrated and not able to find the answers to his questions he could feel Jax trying to push forward. Jonas had to try harder than he ever had to keep Jax back. He didn’t know where they were and that made him uneasy, plus Jax was so pissed off he didn’t trust his wolf to be anything other than a wild animal, which of course he was. Still standing in the middle of a battle scene, Jonas could see some of the wolves properly now and found that the wolves doing most of the attacking were from his pack. Not recognising some of the of the others Jonas realised that these wolf’s were from different packs. Does this mean that Genni had succeeded in uniting enough wolf packs?
Jonas groan out loud, he didn’t understand and he wished Genni would snap out of the trance she was in and help in some way. As Jonas was thinking this he could see a strange light up ahead deep witching the forest. The light started to glow brighter and brighter until it was painful to look at and to his utter astonishment, he saw a women emerge and head straight for him.
