“Well, today I started my Luna duties and the first few were very easy decisions” smile Genni. “I made Molly my Beta and I made Sara my Gamma” Genni was beaming as she told Rosemary and her response was to clap her hands quickly and lightly. “Oh, I think you’ve made the right choices there My Dear. How wonderful for you both and such an honour” Rosemary was looking at Molly and Sara with a whiff of remembrance on her face. “I remember when I had to choose mine, it was such a weight on my mind. I hope it does the same for you dear” Reaching out Rosemary gripped Genni’s hand. “Thank you, Ro…Mom, Martha came up here this morning and explained what my initial duties would be. I’m excited to make a start and as Martha got a little more in-depth with the roles the Beta and Gamma would be in charge of, it occurred to Molly that the revision of all the staff would be a lot easier if you were involved as you were the one that hired them. So, what I’m asking is if you want to be involved. I know it may eat into your retirement….? It was Rosemary’s turn to hold up her hand now and stopping Genni, Rosemary asked if she knew where Phil was at this very moment. Shaking their head and looking a little puzzled Genni said “I don’t actually, I did try to link with Jonas earlier but I didn’t get very far and I just assumed that he was busy. So, where is Phil? Trying to look pissed off but not quite achieving it Rosemary chuckled and told the ladies that Phil, Jonas, Greg and Tobias were all in the training centre with the warrior classes. “He just couldn’t keep away from them, told me he was going to pop over to see what was happening but that was three hours ago”. Laughing, Rosemary said, “I would love to be involved and I am very grateful to you for allowing me the chance to serve you in this way”. Genni, however, went one step further “How would you like to be in charge of the staff? Rosemary looked a little shocked at this, as did Molly and Sara. “I only mean that if there is a problem amongst the staff, like a dispute or grievance that they go to you first, sort of like a supervisors position, I just think that with everything we all have going on and how busy Jonas and Myself are likely to be in the coming months, delegation is probably going to be a very good friend of mine” Genni chuckled, “what do you think Mom”? “Do you think you could do that, it would just entail supervising the staff and letting me know if there’s a problem and then if there is we shall deal with it together”. Rosemary was delighted at this she scoffed at Genni’s apology for disturbing her retirement and admitted to the ladies that she was bored as hell. This made all of them laugh and when they had calmed down a little Rosemary gave her first suggestion about the staff. “Your grace, if I may. When I was the grand luna I had a few staff members within the apartment itself, they would clean and would make breakfast if I didn’t want to go down to the main dining hall and they would also serve coffee, tea whatever when meetings were underway”. Genni thought about this for a second and being a very humble and naive person she said that she didn’t know how she felt about people waiting on her. Sara burst out laughing at this and slapping her hands over her mouth to try to stop was reduced to giggles, raising her eyebrows at Sara, Genni questioned “What was so funny” Sara, once again overstepping the mark, informed Genni that if anyone deserved waiting staff the demigod in the room with them did. There was silence as Genie digested this and then with a shy smile on her face, she conceded to Sara that she should realise her position. Molly then interjected “Don’t forget your Grace, the people that you choose to be your personal staff will think it the highest honour that they could be given especially if they are just part of the omega class”. Nodding slightly Genni asked Rosemary if she could make a few suggestions with regards to her private staff. “So, if you don’t mind that will be your first task and you Molly, I would like to know if there are any She-Wolves that are in the warrior classes, and if there are I want to know how they feel, how they are treated ETC”. Molly nodded her head, and Genni continued “Sarah I’m quite sure your telephone line and laptop are going to be quite busy over the next few days as word gets out about me, so there is going to be a great need for organisation, planning and choosing who should get to speak with me and who should speak with yourself or Molly or Rosemary”. “So” Genni said smiling at three women “you all now have your first assignments and I need to meet up with Martha downstairs and go over the menus and such regarding the pack house”. After saying all this Genni stood and the other ladies stood too, nodding at them all, Molly went to her office and Sara did the same leaving Genni and Rosemary alone. Going to stand next to her daughter-in-law Rosemary clasped both of Genni’s hands in hers “You are going to be amazing at this so please don’t fret upon it. And as for me I can’t even begin to tell you how delighted I am that you trust me enough to be part of your inner circle”. Clasping Rosemary‘s hands just as tightly Genni looked at her mother-in-law “Of course I trust you, don’t ever think differently, ok? I’m just as honoured that you said yes. Just remember that if it becomes too much or you think I’m being too pushy or too stubborn to see past the end of my nose that you will tell me. Pulling Genni toward her, Rosemary embraced this wonderful woman. Rosemary was still shocked and awed by how humble this young woman was knowing her heritage and what she was here to do. Placing a gentle kiss on her cheek Rosemary pulled back from the embrace and said, “If I take the files with the staff members in them, I will start to go through them and make recommendations. Handing the files over they walked past Jonas‘s office door and felt her heart rate speed up slightly at the thought of him but the lack of scent in the room told Genni that he was still at the training area then realisation hits her and spun around to Rosemary, Genni said apologetically “Mom, I’m so sorry you don’t get to have an office”. Looking at the horror on her daughter-in-law‘s face Rosemary burst out laughing and placing another kiss on her cheek, Rosemary assured her that she did not need an office. She could simply take the files back to her apartment on the second floor and go over there she also added that hopefully Phil won’t be home yet so should have a little bit more peace. Genni asked if Rosemary was sure and once again Rosemary stated firmly that she would be okay. Leaning forward to give her mother-in-law a quick peck on the cheek Genni said “I must dash, I have to speak with Martha before she starts preparing the lunch food” and with a little skip in her step Genni disappeared into the kitchen while Rosemary made her way back up to the second floor. Walking down to her apartment, Rosemary made a silent vow to the Goddess Selene, stating simply that would go above and beyond for this wonderful She-Wolf.
