Chapter 55 Chapter 55
Chapter 55

\- Natasha -

I casually scrolled through the city till I got to the big house of one of the noble women in the pack

She was a widow and a doctor living well

I rang the doorbell twice before I heard her answer from within

She opened the door and her eyes widened. I smiled. I knew she was not expecting me. She was in a white robe

"Natasha?" She called out, not willing to let me in. I pushed the door wider and let myself in.

"It is rude to leave your visitors out," I said and before she could reply someone walked down from the stairs

"Baby is everything alright?" A masculine voice asked. "Who's there?"

The man stopped dead in his tracks immediately he saw me and he tried to cover himself with his hands

He was wearing only shorts. I looked from Kira to him. She was seeing a younger man

I looked around the living room. There were a few clothes, probably his, scattered all around. On the couch and on the floor.

"You sure know how to have a good time, doctor," I said and she quickly shook her head, her face red.

"No...that is not what...it is not what it looks like. I..." She stammered.

"Can your visitor excuse us?" I said. "I need to discuss something very important with you."

"Of course," she angrily motioned to the man who hurriedly grabbed the clothes and rushed into them

After some minutes, she pushed him to the door and closed it behind him

There was an awkward silence after he's gone

"Would you like anything to drink?" She asked me nervously.

"Thank you for your hospitality, doctor, but what I need is more than just a drink," I told him, and her old face wrinkled more in confusion.

"Oh?" She muttered. I turned to face her fully.

"I need your help," I said. "And I really hope you can help me."

"I can do anything I have to," she said and I nodded.

"Good," I said. "I am really glad to hear that."

She looked at me expectantly, waiting for me to say what it was.

"You know the woman the Alpha mated is pregnant?" I started, slowly pacing around. Her eyes followed me.

"Yes I do," she said.

"And I know you know that pregnancy is not his," I looked at her.

"I do," she nodded. "But the alpha has asked that I tell no one about it."

"Yes, that is because he trusts you. And that is why, if you terminate the pregnancy, he wouldn't suspect you."

"I beg your pardon?"

"You don't have to," I said with a hard face. "I need you to terminate that pregnancy."

"But..." She stuttered, looking horrified. "But the King... she's his wife. The Luna of this pack."

"You don't know that more than I do," I snapped at her. "She is only here for a moment. And that bastard in her womb does not belong to the alpha. So what are you worried about?"

"The Alpha seems to care about the child. He took her in and mated her. Besides, the Alpha himself is a powerful healer. He might be able to figure out something is wrong."

"Then make it look like an accident," I said. "Are you not smart? Alpha Jason may have some healing power but you're the one who's trained. He always comes to you because he trusts your work. Even he comes to you to be treated. And I know you can do this."

She looked hesitant.

"I don't really know why you want me to do this but I really can't," she finally said. "I am so sorry, Natasha, but I cannot do this."

I walked towards her menacingly and she shifted back

"Don't forget you owe me your life," I said. "When you killed your husband when he found out about your affairs, I hid your secret from the world so you could live. Everyone pitied the good doctor. You remember how you stood in their midst, genuinely crying like a woman in loss, and I let you have your moment. I never asked for anything in return even when you begged me to. Now I am and you say you cannot do what I ask?"

"It's an innocent baby..." She muttered shakily as she tried to get away from me.

I scrunched my nose.

"Do you smell that? Your righteousness stinks! How are you able to kill a full-grown man and now cannot kill an underdeveloped one? Look, I am not here to negotiate with you. I need this done unless you want the whole pack to know what you did to your husband and you know what that means."

"Natasha please..." She said tearfully.

"Very well then, you have made your choice," I made for the door.

"No please wait," she hurriedly called after me. "Please wait."

I turned round slowly and looked at her

"Fine I will do it," she said. "I will do it."

"Hmm," I hummed. "I wonder why you were trying to make this difficult for both of us."

She sighed deeply.

"Do you have a plan?" She asked and I liked that she was already in action

"I need it to be as natural as possible," I told her. "But no matter what you do, I don't want that baby alive."

"And the mother?" She asked me and I looked away for a while

I had thought about this. However, I need Aria to be alive to witness more pain. Killing her right now is easy death and I am sure she's grown beyond that

She now feels she's worth something and is even challenging me. That cannot go unpunished.

Jason is only keeping her at the moment because of that child in her womb

I want her to watch how he discards her once he finds out he cannot use that to get Marcus anymore.

"The mother lives," I finally replied. "Take just the child for now."
