Christopher, upon seeing Amber passed out on the steering wheel, accelerated his Ferrari, driving away from the scene of the accident. The crew members of the van, astonished, got out and helped her and took her to the hospital, where they left her hospitalized.
A week later...
Joshua, worried about his friend, decided to visit Christopher in his apartment, finding everything a mess and him looking haggard, with a bad face. It was evident, on the floor and the tables, that he had dedicated himself to empty all the alcoholic beverages he had in the building and to feed himself with junk food.
-What are you doing, my friend? -You can't just throw yourself away like that, just because a woman failed you. What you have plenty of is women, so get up and let's go out," he ordered.
-I don't want to go out," declared Christopher, in a bad mood, sitting down again on the sofa.
-I am not asking you, I am warning you that we are going out. Are you going to give Amber the pleasure of seeing you destroyed and defeated? -he asked, angry and making her get up from the sofa.
-I told you, I don't want to go out. I'm not going to be anyone's laughing stock," he growled, angry with his friend.
-And who knows what happened to you? -he asked.
-No idea! And I don't care to know," he added, running his hands through his hair.
Nevertheless, Joshua, ignoring his reluctance to leave, dragged him to the shower in his own room and turned on the faucet so that he could take a bath, as it seemed he had not done so for several days. Then, she looked for clothes for him, but not before calling the concierge to find someone to clean the apartment.
That's how they went out. He invited him to eat at a restaurant, where they both liked to meet. They ordered each other's favorite dishes and in pleasant conversation, his friend convinced him to leave the city, at least for a week.
-I'll listen to you, Joshua! -Christopher agreed, looking around and analyzing that he couldn't throw it all away.
-I'm glad! That's you, who falls down and gets up again," congratulated his friend.
-I'll try Joshua! For now I don't want to talk or explain myself to anyone," he assured him.
-If you want, I'll lend you my plane? -asked his friend.
-Don't worry! Mine is available, they were servicing it, to prepare it for my honeymoon trip -confirmed this one, with a broken voice and letting two tears run down his cheeks, which he wiped immediately, with rage before his weakness.
Consequently, the next day Christopher left on a trip to a destination unknown to all and without giving any explanation about the breakup of his engagement. In any case, he left his Public Relations Director in charge of announcing the cancellation of his wedding.
The following week...
Christopher returned from his trip, a little calmer and recovered from the strong blow that his ex-girlfriend, whom he did not even want to name, nor to be named, had dealt him. He joined his work, to leave aside the liquor, with which he drowned his sorrows. When he arrived, he met Michelle, daughter of his partner and in charge of tenders in the company.
-We have problems! -she remarked, looking at him with astonishment, as he looked haggard. We lost all three bids! -she commented dramatically, totally bewildered and entering behind him into his office, taking the chair in front of his desk.
-What's it going to be like? -He asked, with an icy look. "I'm not supposed to have paid to win them.
-Apparently, someone betrayed you, revealed confidential company information and sold it to our competition, to Dylan's company," she said, looking at him sideways, "We lost the bidding, for a ridiculous amount.
-That can't be! It's your responsibility Michelle! You're the one who handles it directly," he pointed out, slamming his desk, speaking aggressively, "And you're going to answer to me, for these results!
-If that's what we're going for... your little girlfriend handled that information too! -she defended herself, rolling her eyes- I have my suspicions, but I'm waiting for dad to confirm something and I'll let you know.
Suddenly, Christopher remembered what had happened two weeks ago, in the Rose Garden, he closed his eyes and thought...
"It can't be! Amber, was she capable of this too? She knew the amounts for this bidding Did she dare to reveal this information and give it to her lover?", he thought with ill-contained rage. Opening his eyes and looking at Michelle Fontain, he ordered her....
-Call an urgent meeting with the lawyers, it is necessary to take action," he commanded, looking at her contemptuously.
Michelle left Christopher's office with a disguised smile and with a strange gleam in her eyes... Triumph? Most likely. Later that night, she called him to confirm that it was his girlfriend Amber who gave the information to Dylan, according to her father's inquiries.
He fell silent, after a few brief seconds, thanked her for the information and hung up the call. For her part, Michelle was happy because, little by little, she would destroy the image he had of Amber.
The next day...
Being eleven o'clock in the morning, Christopher, Michelle and her father met with the lawyers, who typified this as a private action crime, so they recommended him to proceed with the complaint at once.
On the other hand, Amber was recovering from the accident caused by Christopher, she was discharged from the hospital. Her mother, who had been with her during all this time and with many doubts, especially because of his absence. Before this situation she asked her...
-Daughter, did you fight with Christopher? Because it is strange that he has not come to see you even one day. I don't know if he knows what happened to you, I couldn't contact him by cell phone and he didn't return my calls either, because of the messages I left him.
-Mom...! I was running away from him! When the accident happened. In fact, he caused it," Amber confessed, shedding her tears, unable to hold them back and hugging her mother by the neck.
-Daughter! It can't be! What happened? I don't understand, Christopher is not a bad man, he is an extraordinary being! He loves you," her mother emphasized.
-I, I, I still don't know what happened? -she said, in a muffled voice.
-Why were you running away from him? -her mother asked, wanting to clarify and know the truth of the situation.
Then, Amber told her mother everything that happened up to the moment of the accident. Again, she began to cry because of the pain and suffering caused by knowing that he doubted her like that. Besides, remembering the way he treated her and hit her just like Dylan, who, by the way, does not know what happened to him.
Simultaneously, Michelle and her father contacted two former employees of Dylan Lugo, so that they could testify before the authorities that Amber was the person who provided the information related to the bidding.
Likewise, using their friendship with a judge and a prosecutor, they managed to get the company's lawyers to lighten the process against Amber. So that same day, when she left the hospital, an arrest warrant was issued against her and the officials went after her.

Having arrived early at the apartment, after leaving the hospital, the doorbell rang and Amber's mother walked to the door to open it, when she got an unpleasant surprise.
-Good afternoon, does Miss Amber Tovar Marin live here? -asked one of the officers, identifying himself as such.
-Yes, that's me! -she answered, in a weak voice, behind her mother.
-You are under arrest! For the crimes of disclosure of business secrets, illicit enrichment and computer crimes, to the detriment of the company Constructora e Inmobiliaria Internacional MORILLO & WOOD.
Incidentally, while the official was speaking, Amber was losing her strength and collapsed on the floor, fainting. Therefore, the officials rescued her together with her mother, lifted her up and laid her down on the sofa.
When she reacted, she did not speak, since she could not believe what was happening, Christopher was not satisfied with defaming and beating her, but now this too. She did not protest, besides that she did not have enough strength to do so, since it was not worth it. The officials handcuffed her and took her away.
-Noooo, daughter! Nooo!" her mother shouted as they put her in the patrol car. Initially, she was taken to the police station, where she was identified and reviewed, to be sent to the police station, while the trial against her was being carried out...
