Chapter 92 Indirect Approach

Back in the day, folks only heard about people running away from Afrilon, never about anyone running to it.

Daniel had no clue why he felt the need to help those badass female snipers from war zones.

All he knew was that Calvin wanted to help these women skip the whole refugee or asylum-seeking mess.

He wanted them to hit up Afrilon first and get legal status through some tour guide company.

When the tour guide company sets up shop around the globe, do they need to send folks from the 'head office' to run things?

This way, they could snag legal work visas, and after hanging around long enough, they could get residency permits and stay for good.

It was a sneaky but legal way to immigrate, and Calvin could pull it off because Afrilon's laws were kinda loose.

Daniel's first idea was to team up with local tour guide companies, using them as a front for his money-laundering gig.

But now, according to Calvin, they had to set up their own tour guide companies.

There was still cash to be made here. As long as the company was legit, safe, and they figured out how to pull in customers, it could be a goldmine.

Just like in Malabari, once his resort was up and running, even if he only snagged a few team-building gigs from those big Halcyon companies each year, even if he only worked half the year, he'd still be rolling in dough.

In this world, it's all about hustle. Tour guiding is a pretty high-end tourism gig. If you're willing to invest and pull in the right crowd, you can make bank. Compared to that, how much does it cost to set up a company in Afrilon?

If you wanna go all out, you can follow the Malabari model, buy a helicopter or even a plane, and then build a resort.

This kind of investment, where you bring in cash, hire people, and pay taxes, is the kind of project Afrilon loves.

And as long as things stay chill locally, can safety issues really mess with Daniel, an arms dealer?

The idea of a 'Global Tour Guide Group' had been bouncing around in Daniel's head for ages, but he never found the right person to talk to.

Now Calvin showed up, offering manpower and effort without asking for a dime, just a partner's title.

As for helping some female snipers in Calvin's circle, Daniel couldn't care less.

They were pros, and they needed to work and eat before they got to their dream country.

If a 'benefactor' gives you five hundred bucks a month to do some easy work, you can't say no, right?

Now Daniel saw Calvin in a new light.

If Daniel used to think Calvin was just a sarcastic and annoying dude.

Now, in Daniel's eyes, Calvin was a twisted fanboy.

Those female snipers, to Calvin, were like the pop stars on TV, and Calvin was their biggest fan. Whether he admitted it or not, he got a kick out of controlling his idols' lives.

Natalie was a super idol in Calvin's eyes, so at first, he wanted to know everything she did.

In the real world, guys like Calvin are a pain, especially to the people they crush on. His so-called helpfulness and generosity? All about feeding his own control freak vibes and getting his kicks.

It's tough to label this mindset as good or bad, but for those female snipers stuck in hellish situations, it couldn't get any worse.

For Daniel, this was a win-win; no reason to say no.

Facing Calvin's smug look, Daniel fought the urge to flip him off and said, "Alright, it's a deal. As a partner, I'll treat you to some BBQ, and tomorrow you can jet off to Eldoria to help me set up this company."

Calvin smirked, and as he walked past Daniel, he tried to pat him on the shoulder, but Daniel brushed him off. Calvin then covered his mouth, clamped his legs, and dashed to the restaurant with Natalie to snag a seat.

Natalie shot Daniel an apologetic smile, and just as she was about to say something, Daniel waved her off and said, "It's cool. If he crosses the line, I'll chop off his hand. A lawyer can still work with one hand."

Then Daniel called out to the others, "Come on over and eat. Hey, where's Nis?"

Just then, Nis led Ulysses into the courtyard. When she opened the door, Daniel saw that not only had Ulysses come, but the friendly leopard had also tagged along, and a small cheetah was playfully tugging at Nis's pants.

Donovan, who was there for the first time, was startled—not by the leopard, but by Ulysses.

Donovan had been quiet since Calvin and Daniel started talking. He didn't get much of what they were discussing, but he found it impressive.

When Donovan realized he was the only one in the team with a proper special forces background, he felt he should be pretty important.

Komodo was intimidating, but it didn't matter; at least he seemed to be the toughest one around.

But Ulysses's arrival shook Donovan to his core!

Ulysses was insanely strong!

That primal vibe oozing from his bones made Donovan uneasy.

He wasn't scared, but like a beast meeting another beast, he instinctively went into self-protection mode.

Seeing Ulysses looking a bit reserved, Daniel laughed and waved him over, saying, "Sit down and eat. If the meat's not enough, we'll grill more."

Then Daniel bent down and rubbed the leopard's neck a few times. Seeing its face full of enjoyment, he laughed and said, "You can tell it's been eating well. When the resort's up and running, you'll be the resident cutie, earning your keep."

After that, Daniel pushed Ulysses to sit down, deliberately placing him next to Donovan. Then Daniel lightly kicked the small cheetah clinging to his foot and said to Nis, "Let's eat!

In the next few days, I'll figure out how to get Natalie a gun that doesn't need a thumb, and you two can practice at the range.

In a few days, when my passport and James's visa come through, we'll head to Italica!

We'll send Richard to school together, and then we'll deal with that vengeful Mori Family."

James pointed to two black suitcases on the sofa and said, "Daniel, shouldn't you check what's inside first?"

James then gave Donovan a cold look and said, "He took a few things from someone in the Mori Family. You'd better check them too."
