Epilogue
“…And that on the day of your marriage, your consummation will transfer your abilities to one another. A new tribe will be born from you. A new tribe of supernaturals, with the abilities of both wolves and vampires. A hybrid. That when your children, at the peak of their abilities, marry from either of the communities, they will share this gift, and the tribe will grow. That this new tribe will live forever like the vampires, change into wolves when they need to, and have the best of both worlds.”
Grenada looked at the witch as she pronounced these words on the day of her turning and betrothal to Hausten.
The night after she asked the witches buried at the bloom fields to make her and Hausten stay together forever, they had created a spell that would make it possible for her to transfer her vampire abilities to Hausten and for him to do the same for her.
Together, they had bonded and created a new supernatural creation. At the betrothal, the pronouncement was made, and they both drank the spell immediately she turned.
The spell would be activated after she got married to Hausten. Their children will be werewolves until they get to a certain age, then they will be turned and fully activate their hybrid nature.
“Where are you going, Nimau?” Grenada asked her wide-eyed seven-year-old son as he ran towards the flower fields in front of them.
“To talk to them,” he said excitedly.
Grenada was most grateful for the witches. Even at this point in her life, they had decided to stay. To remain. Always.
