Chapter 68 New Beginnings
ZARA'S POV
The break has begun. Most of the wolves had returned to their clans to refresh, and they took some time off just to prepare for the upcoming session. I woke up that morning in a kind of trance. I saw myself surrounded by other wolves, smiling and playing around. There was one wolf that stood at the centre of the ground floor. It was quite gigantic in nature, white with gold streaks adorning its body. It was quite beautiful.
I tumbled over some wood in the forest. That made me pause in playing for a bit. That was when I truly noticed its presence. It was a beautiful wolf. It smiled at me, a wolfish grin appearing by its side. I smiled back, and then I woke up from my trance.
I was so full of energy that morning. It was a really beautiful experience.
"Good morning, Mira." I greeted.
"Good morning, Zara." She responded.
"You seem to be in such a cheerful mood this morning."
"Oh well.... It just happened that way." I replied.
I quickly got up from the bed and dressed my bed before hitting the showers. After having a steaming bath, I changed into some yoga pants. I was determined to have a fruitful day no matter the situation. This had been a long time coming, indeed.
"Off to?" Mira questioned.
"I'll be going to the yoga room." I said.
She was shocked, leaving her mouth hanging in an "O" form.
"Wait.... You're not joking?" She questioned.
"Uhm... Nahh.... I want to do something different over the next few weeks." I said.
"Well....That's good for you." She stated.
"I'll see you at the cafeteria when it's time for breakfast." I said whilst throwing in a few things into my sports bag.
Once I was done packing up for yoga, I threw a kiss Mira's way before stepping out of the room. I had a feeling that today was going to be so great, I just didn't know what and what would make up the day yet. On reaching the yoga room, I realized that there was no one in there.
It seemed really really vacant. Like no one had been in there for a long time. The only thing that betrayed that fact was the use of detergent and air freshener, which probably used to just keep the place clean and going.
I laid out a yellow yoga mat and settled down on it. Plugging in my headsets into my ears while several slow and calm songs filtered in and out of it.
"Hello...." I heard someone say just as I was about to close my eyes.
No disturbances!!!
I groaned.
I opened up my eyes to meet a very beautiful lady. She was also in yoga pants too. And.... Her face seemed quite new. I had never come across it before.
"Heyyyy...." I responded, after blatantly checking her out.
Ouu!!! I'm not a pervert....
But damn! Forgive me when I say that she was loaded.
"I'm Diane.... The yoga instructor is around here." She introduced.
Oops!!! I hope she didn't catch me checking her out.
"I'm Zara." I responded.
"Yeah... Zara Night. I know who you are." She said.
I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Not that way..." She said, choking in chuckles.
"There's an ID checker when you pass through the door. It scans your profile just as you step into the room."
"Ohh.... Wow.... You got me there." I said on a lighter note.
"Let me not distract you from what you came here to do." She stated as she turned towards a table I had seen when I first entered the yoga room.
She grabbed a wristwatch kind of thing and then strapped it to the side of my left arm.
"Careful there... Are you holding me hostage?" I said....
Not that I was scared... But it was a new thing I was trying out.
"It will set you in the pace. Just switch it on once you're ready to begin your practice." She said.
"I'll be on the other end carrying out a few stretches."
"You could call out to me if you're facing any difficulties."
With that, she turned away from me.
Wow!!! That was okay... I guess.
I returned my attention to my initial plan for the day. Switching on the wristwatch, I felt a zap flow through my system. It was like it was rebooting me or maybe putting me in place for the actions that I would soon carry out.
I did a few stretches, turning my body from left to right while my eyes stayed closed.
"Sit on a crisscross kind of stride." I heard a feminine voice say.
"Ensure that your eyes are closed."
"What do you see?"
"Colours." I responded like I thought they could hear me, or whoever was speaking could actually hear me.
"Different colours."
"Focus on one specifically." It responded.
Oh!!! I was being heard.
That made me smile.
I focused on the white. I heard white stands for purity.
"What colour did you focus on?" She asked.
"White." I replied cheerfully.
"Good." She said.
"Clear your head. Think of Holy things. Anything that's pure."
"Channel into your energy within."
"Let yourself feel and grow into all you're meant to be."
That seemed like an easy task.
I began to think of the trance I had that morning, my first wolves transition.Kai... His kisses.
No, that wasn't holy!
I thought of my friends, how they've always been there for me. Then, an energy from within surged out of me in full force. I started seeing black colours.
Silver burning cities, Kai and I standing on opposite sides of a cliff divided by fire, my eyes were black, and I had lost control.
"Merge those energies together." I heard the feminine voice say.
"Don't let dark take full control of your insides."
"Control your emotions. Take charge of them."
I was having conflicting emotions within myself. I took my mind back to when I was first brought into the academy. My parents hadn't even the littlest but had the courage to drop me off at the academy. They had shipped me like a poster being sent by mail to the mailbox.
I thought of how life had been so terrible for me till Kai noticed me.
"Was Kai the reason why I first shifted?" I thought.
"Could be have somehow brought me into the limelight without me knowing?"
I was having several emotions surging through me. I was happy, sad, angry, confused, and terrified all at once.
"Zara Night! Tap out!" I heard the feminine voice say.
"Tap out now!" I heard Diane shout.
I didn't know what was going outside. My eyes had been sealed shut somehow. I didn't know how to open them up.
Then I felt the sting.
"Ahhhhhh!" I screamed as darkness covered me.
