Chapter 47 Another morning
Kai's POV
"Is the glitch becoming frequent?" Zara asked.
"I... It's not really noticeable." I responded truthfully.
We had both woken up from sleep in the early hours of the morning. It was good being awake and listening to the silent whispers of the birds that flew at night. Our legs were entangled under the duvet which laid on top of our bodies. My hand played with the strings of her hair.
"Kai... What really happens in those memories you tend to have?" She asked.
"The one in which we both share."
I heaved a breath.
"Why are you asking?" I retorted.
"I just want to confirm if we both have the same ending." She responded.
I looked into her eyes. They were hollow and void. Like she wanted to block me out from seeing what she was truly hiding behind those eyes.
"I never see the ending." I responded truthfully.
Her body stiffened.... Like she didn't believe me.
"That's the truth.' I said.
She looked up at me with her cute pouty lips. After what seemed like a moment, she nodded her head.
"We should have Mira look into what this academy is all about." She said.
"I thought we wanted to live like normal people?" I questioned.
"Yes... Before all this things started happening." She responded.
I pushed her body closer to mine. She was shivering slightly.
"Hey.. take a deep breath.' I advised as I placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Everything will work out well." I stated.
We returned to bed shortly after that conversation. I woke up later again to her soft snores. I got out of the bed without waking her up. I wanted to shift into my wolf... To go for a run.
Yesterday was the first time that I had been in close contact with Zara's wolves and nothing bad had happened. Maybe she just wasn't as bad as Dr. Voss projected her to be. I shifted into my wolf and jumped out of the window. I did laps around the academy till I got to an enclosed space. I shifted back to my human form and rested my back on the grassy area.
Then the memories hit me again... Silver cities burning... Creatures like myself destroying the earth... A duplicate me imprisoned... Zara...
I quickly shook myself out of that memory. The sun had began setting, I shifted back to my wolf and returned back to my dorm room. On getting there, I saw a patrol guard walking around. His face seemed new. I hadn't seen him around before. I hid behind a pillar as I shifted back to my human form.
"Who are you?" I was about to ask when I realized that the guy was no longer in my dorm hall.
Strange!
I walked into my room. Zara had just stirred in her sleep. I would have to wake her up soon seeing that the sun was up and we would have classes today based on our levels in the academy.
I freshened up quickly and changed into my academy shorts and shirt. I was going for a simple outfit today to avoid unnecessary stress. I placed a kiss on her forehead before pinching her side slightly.
"Ouch! That hurt." She squeaked as she she opened up her eyes.
I chuckled slightly....
"Well... You wouldn't wake up any other way." I stated.
She laughed gently as she raised up her body from the bed.
"Good morning Kai." She greeted.
"Good morning Zara." I responded.
She raised up her body to my body level. She bit her lower lip making me to groan.
"Don't dare." I warned her.
"Don't dare what?" She said sexily.
This girl was death's easiest way of assessing me. I quickly got up from the bed to avoid undue connections.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about." I said before moving over to my dressing table.
She got out from the bed letting the duvet fall back to the bed. She was stark naked in front of me. I sat in front of my dressing mirror, crossing my legs over each other as I started at her sexy figure through the mirror.
"You're beautiful." I complimented.
"Hmm." She said as she sat down back on the bed.
Raising her two legs till the heel touched her bumbum. She grabbed her luscious boobs with her hands, slightly flicking her red nipples.
Fuck!!! Zara just happened to be an art work who could be placed in a museum. That thought made me jealous.... too jealous that I could kill anyone who would dare to touch her.
"Kaiii... " She drawled out my name as her names sinked lower in her body.
"Don't Zara. Get ready for the day.' I said closing my eyes.
By the time I opened up my eyes, she was in front of me. Before I could get up from the seat, Zara straddled me.
"Push me if you can." She said.

She nodded gently before rushing into the bathroom to freshen up. After she had changed into my dress shirt and a short, I walked her back to her dorm. I waited outside her dorm for her to finish changing up before walking down together to the cafeteria.
At the cafeteria, we met up with Mira.
"Hey fuckbirds." Mira greeted us.
I sneered at her jokingly.
"Watch your mouth Mira." Zara scolded playfully.
Rex and Luna greeted us in unison before getting up to grab our breakfast.
"Mira... We need your help." I said.
"And what would you need my help for?" She asked.
"We need to know more about our real identities." I said.
Just then, Rex and Luna returned with their food for breakfast.
"And since you've both lived out lives in the parallel dimension you came from... You would be of immense help to us.' I said, referring to them both.
"Mira. Report to my office now." Dr. Voss's voice responded throughout the cafeteria.
