Chapter 120 Almost Die

Chapter 120 Almost Die
Rimjhim freezes. Her eyes meet his, the same eyes that have kept their distance for so long, but now once again pull her in with the same intensity. She can’t hold back her emotions anymore. She presses her head against Vihan’s chest and breaks down, sobbing uncontrollably.

It is as if all the chains around her heart have snapped. As if she has been waiting for this moment for ages.

Vihan holds her tightly in his arms, as though telling her silently, I will never let you go again. He whispers softly near her ear, “Don’t cry… please. When you’re in pain, I feel it too.”

Rimjhim’s trembling voice comes out between sobs, “I’m sorry… I wronged you so much. I was broken inside, mentally disturbed. That’s why I went away from you. But now… I understand.”

Her eyes are wet with tears, her breath uneven.

Vihan strokes her hair gently, pressing her face closer to his chest. His voice is steady: “I understand… your pain was mine too. Please, don’t cry anymore.”

Rimjhim whispers softly, “Now I will never go anywhere. No matter who tries to come between us… I will never leave you.”

A tender smile curves on Vihan’s lips. Looking straight into her eyes, he says, “And I will never let anyone come between us.”

Rimjhim’s gaze lingers on him, her heart filled with an unfamiliar peace. In that moment, without another word, through her tears she smiles faintly… and places her lips on his.

Meanwhile, far away from this intimacy, Ruhi sits in a club with her friend Disha across the table. Loud music pulses through the air, lights flash around them, but Ruhi’s mood is weighed down. She sets her drink on the table and sighs, “Sometimes I feel uneasy… he puts in so much effort for me. He’s always running around just to make me happy. And I feel guilty.”

Disha listens carefully, then smiles slyly: “Oh, silly girl. That’s all just a show. Don’t stress about it. Come on, do one thing I’ll tell you a perfect plan.”
She leans closer and whispers her plan into Ruhi’s ear. Ruhi’s eyes widen, and she asks nervously, “Are you sure? Nothing bad will happen, right?”
Disha replies with full confidence, “Crazy girl! Nothing will happen. Just wait and watch how smooth everything turns out.”

Ruhi hesitates, torn between doubt and curiosity, but Disha’s words are already planting seeds in her mind.

Suddenly, Vihan’s phone buzzes on the desk. But he isn’t ready to let Rimjhim go just yet; his arms are still wrapped tightly around her. Rimjhim, blushing softly, is the one who finally pulls herself away.
Vihan lets out a displeased sigh, his expression turning almost childishly annoyed as he reaches for the phone. Glancing at the screen, he sees Samar’s name flashing.

With a half-irritated groan, he answers, “The man who always ruins my romance… what is it now, Samar?”

Rimjhim shoots him a sharp look, her eyes narrowing at his words, as if warning him not to get too cheeky.

On the other end, Samar’s voice says something urgent. Vihan’s expression immediately shifts from playful to serious. He straightens up and replies firmly, “Stay there. I’m on my way.”

He hangs up quickly, the softness from moments ago fading into focus. Rising from the chair, he looks at Rimjhim with urgency but also care in his tone, “Jaan, take care of yourself. I need to leave for some work.”

Without giving her a chance to ask more, he hurries out of the study, the door clicking shut behind him, leaving Rimjhim staring at his retreating figure with a storm of questions in her heart.

Evening has already fallen. The hillside drowns in darkness, only the faint rustle of the breeze and the distant crackling of leaves against the ground breaking the silence. The place is so quiet, it feels as if all colors of life have been wiped away from this very moment.

In the middle of that eerie silence, Riya sits tied to a chair. Her face is streaked with tears, her eyes swollen red, and in her heart there is only one fear—her little Shivi. Standing before her is Karan, his eyes blazing with a blood-red fury, his hand clutching a gun firmly, its barrel pointed straight at Riya.

The irony is cruel: while death looms dangerously close over Riya, little Shivi thinks it is all just a game. Her tiny feet patter against the rocky ground as she runs here and there, clapping her small hands and giggling in between. Her innocent laughter tears Riya's heart apart even more.
Riya's fear is not for herself but only for her daughter. With tears welling in her eyes, she cries out, "Karan, please... let me go. Kill me if you want, but my daughter has no one but me. She won't survive alone!"

But Karan's rage has reached its peak. Grinding his teeth, raising the gun more firmly, he spits, "Then I'll send her up to join you too!"

Riya's heart trembles. Her lips quiver as she shakes her head desperately, pleading, "No! Please Karan... don't touch my child. Do whatever you want with me, but leave her out of this!"

Deep down, a part of Karan does hold a soft corner for Shivi. He likes that innocent child her tiny hands, her giggles, her warmth. But at this moment, nothing matters more than quenching the fire of revenge burning inside him by killing Riya.

He places his finger on the trigger, glaring into Riya's terrified eyes, and says coldly, "Count your last breaths, Riya. Tonight, your story ends here."
And then he pulls the trigger.

A deafening gunshot rings through the hills. Riya's scream mixes with the echo of the bullet. Shivi, startled, quickly covers her small ears with her little palms.

But... when Riya opens her eyes, she realizes the bullet hasn't struck her. Instead, a new sight stands before her: Samar and Vihan, both seething with fury, standing in front of Karan. The rage on Vihan's face is something no one has ever witnessed before.

Without a moment's hesitation, Vihan lifts his hand and lands a resounding slap across Karan's cheek. The sound echoes through the quiet night. Karan's face twists to the side, and a drop of blood trickles from his lip.

Just then, Shorya comes running from behind. He rushes straight to Riya, quickly untying the ropes that bind her to the chair. Riya's tears won’t stop; her only instinct is to grab her daughter and hold Shivi tightly in her arms.

Little Shivi, however, has witnessed it all. Her wide eyes catch the moment her uncle is slapped. Shocked, she instantly places both her chubby hands over her round cheeks. Then, puffing up her lips in anger, she turns her gaze at Samar and Vihan, glaring at them with her tiny, furious eyes.
