Chapter 165: "Damn it! Kieran, how did you figure it out?!"
Chapter 165: "Damn it! Kieran, how did you figure it out?!"
Kieran's POV
"Carl, mobilize the Frost family's best doctors to the Blood Moon Wolf Pack immediately."
My voice was low and oppressive.
"Yes, sir!" Carl's response was swift and decisive.
Just as I was about to hang up, my mother's anxious voice came through the phone.
"Carl, is that Kieran?"
I frowned, my temples throbbing. "Put my mother on."
"What's going on? Kieran, it's chaos out there. Someone is deliberately disrupting the peace between the major wolf packs. I learned this morning that the Silver Moon Wolf Pack was also harassed."
My mother's voice couldn't hide her worry.
I rubbed my temple with one hand.
"Mom, please handle these matters for me. I'm with Sophia."
Her voice rose sharply. "What happened to Sophia?"
"It's Will. He suddenly fell into a coma."
I quickly explained the situation, adding, "Don't worry. Once Sophia is stable, I'll head back."
After hanging up, Frank walked out of the villa.
The tense expression on his face suddenly disappeared, replaced by a smile.
He hurried over to me, his tone relaxed.
"Mr. Kieran, there's no need to trouble the doctors. Will just woke up. He's chatting with Sophia right now."
"Really?"
I narrowed my eyes.
This morning, when Laura called, she sounded panicked and desperate, as if Will were on the brink of death.
We'd arrived at the villa less than an hour ago, and he was already awake?
This was too strange.
Frank nodded. "Yes, after Mr. Will woke up, he and Sophia have been discussing your wedding."
I stopped in my tracks, my suspicion deepening.
"Wedding?"
"Miss Sophia brought it up herself. After Mr. Will collapsed this time, you were the one who came back with her. She's very grateful to you."
I crossed my arms and studied Frank.
"What else did Sophia say?"
Seeing my apparent interest, Frank began to elaborate enthusiastically.
"She also said she doesn't actually like those other three alphas at all. You're the one she likes most, so she wants to marry you right away while Mr. Will is still lucid."
The moment he finished speaking, I was one hundred percent certain he was lying.
This idiot. Did he really think I'd believe such a clumsy lie?
I held back my anger and played along.
"In that case, lead the way. I can't wait to discuss our wedding with Sophia."
Frank turned to lead the way, and I followed behind him, every nerve on high alert.
My gaze swept over both sides of the corridor, taking note of every detail.
First, Frank was leading me in completely the wrong direction for Will's room.
Second, his story was riddled with holes.
Sophia voluntarily proposing marriage to me?
God, I wished, but it was absolutely impossible!
Sophia had been waiting for her fated mate to appear. She wasn't the type to make hasty decisions.
More importantly, as jealous as it made me, I had to admit that Sophia loved each of us.
She was too kind. How could she possibly disparage the other alphas?
My fists slowly clenched, knuckles cracking.
Just as Frank was about to turn, I lunged forward, my right arm swiftly wrapping around his neck and pulling back hard.
Frank's face instantly turned beet red.
His hands frantically clawed at my arm, but he still tried to feign innocence.
"Kieran, what are you doing?"
I growled coldly in his ear, my voice like a beast's roar.
"Tell me! What did you do to Sophia?!"
The moment I finished speaking, I felt his body suddenly tense up.
Frank realized something was wrong.
He immediately gathered his strength and, before suffocating, raised his right hand sharply, using his knuckles to strike hard at my abdomen.
"Fuck!" I cursed under my breath, forced to release him.
Frank took the opportunity to turn around, his facade completely shattered, revealing a vicious expression.
"Damn it! Kieran, how did you figure it out?!"
He didn't give me time to answer, swinging his fist directly at me.
I dodged to the side and grabbed his wrist, twisting hard.
The sound of grinding bones echoed particularly sharply in the silent corridor.
Frank cried out in pain, his other hand forming a fist aimed at my ribs.
I released his wrist and stepped back half a pace to avoid the attack, then drove my knee sharply into his abdomen.
Frank's reflexes weren't slow either.
He crossed his arms in front of him, taking the hit head-on.
The impact forced him back two steps, but he quickly steadied himself.
Frank panted heavily, his lips curling into a mocking smile.
"You think you can save her? Dream on. You'd better worry about yourself first!"
His words completely ignited my fury.
I didn't respond, charging straight at him.
My fists flew at him rapidly. He couldn't defend himself at all, retreating continuously.
Finally, I grabbed his shoulder and threw him hard against the wall.
Bang!
His back hit the wall with a dull thud.
Frank was an alpha, after all. This impact was nothing to him.
Gritting his teeth, he quickly stood up.
The instant I closed in again, he suddenly bent down, ramming his shoulder into my chest.
I was knocked back several steps, my back slamming into the wall on the other side of the corridor.
Frank wiped the blood from his mouth, his eyes glowing golden.
His wolf nature had been fully triggered.
"Here, you can't shift into wolf form," he sneered.
"We can only fight as humans, and in terms of physical strength, you're not necessarily much stronger than me."
He was right. The corridor was too narrow, limiting my abilities.
I rolled my shoulders and licked my lips, the combat instinct in my blood exciting me.
We grappled again.
I grabbed his collar and headbutted his nose hard.
Crack! The sound of his nasal bone breaking was clearly audible. Blood gushed from his nose.
"Bastard!" Frank roared, grabbing my arms and trying to throw me down.
I used the momentum, my knee driving into his abdomen again.
This time he couldn't block it, his whole body doubling over.
I seized the opportunity to grab his hair and slam his face hard into the floor.
Frank struggled to roll over.
I mounted his back, one hand pressing his head down, while my other hand's wolf claws slowly extended.
"Where is Sophia?" I asked through gritted teeth.
Just as I was about to plunge my claws into his back, Frank suddenly roared violently.
"Laura, save me!"
Alarm bells rang in my mind. I immediately switched positions, using Frank as a shield.
Bang!
Laura's bullet was too fast. My calf was shot without warning.
"Damn it!" Severe pain hit me.
I clenched my teeth, forcing myself not to collapse.
Frank took the opportunity to roll over, gripping my leg tightly.
"Quick! Shoot again!" he screamed.
I tried to dodge Laura's second shot, but Frank's strength was surprisingly great.
He pulled my leg with all his might, preventing me from moving.
Bang!
The second gunshot rang out.
The bullet pierced my chest.
