Chapter 160: Will's Testament

Chapter 160: Will's Testament
Sophia's POV
I lay in Fabian's arms, and it took me a long time to calm down.
That dream had been too real. Laura's malicious gaze left me shaken.
Fabian frowned, gently stroking my hair.
"If you're worried about Laura, I can have someone watch her."
"No!" I immediately protested, struggling to sit up from his embrace.
"That was just a dream. I can't suspect my own sister based on a dream, and I'm already feeling much better now."
Fabian still looked worried, his eyes showing a rare unease.
"Sophia, how can I feel at ease leaving you here like this? Come back with me."
I shook my head, reaching out to hold his hand.
"I can't. I promised Will I'd stay here to keep him company. Don't worry, once school starts, I'll return to the Ellis apartment, okay?"
Fabian was silent for a moment.
"No. In that case, I'll stay here with you."
"Fabian? This..."
My eyes widened in surprise, momentarily speechless.
Fabian cupped my face, a hint of ambiguity flashing in his eyes.
"When are you planning to tell Will about our relationship?"
I bit my lower lip, feeling conflicted.
"I'm still thinking about it..."
How could I tell Will that I had four alpha boyfriends? It was too embarrassing to say out.
Perhaps once my wolf chose her fated mate, I would make a decision.
Fabian held me tighter, his chin resting on top of my head.
"I won't force you, but... after today's attack, I need to make some arrangements."
I looked up at him. "What are you going to do?"
"Laura is too strange. I still suspect her. I'm not the type to sit around waiting for something to happen. I need to investigate thoroughly. Besides, your dream can't have come from nowhere. Have you forgotten? You dreamed about your mother before, and then the dream came true."
My mind was in chaos, but Laura had no reason to hurt me. She was my family.
I shook my head forcefully. "No, Fabian, you can't hurt her!"
Fabian looked at my determined eyes and finally sighed.
"Don't worry, she's your sister. As long as she behaves herself, otherwise..."
He didn't continue, but the cold edge in his voice made his meaning clear.
The next morning, Fabian and I went to check on the other three alphas.
Seeing that their wounds had healed, I finally felt relieved.
The servants invited us to the dining room for breakfast. Laura and Frank were already seated at the table early.
Seeing us enter, Laura warmly welcomed us, a gentle smile on her face.
"Sophia, come sit down."
Because of the dream, I was still somewhat wary of Laura, and my body involuntarily stiffened.
Logan noticed my tension and said quietly, "Sophia, sit with us."
He pulled out the chair beside him, gesturing for me to sit.
I could only politely decline Laura's offer.
"I'm fine sitting anywhere."
In the end, I chose a middle seat.
We ate together, and as we were nearly finished, Frank suddenly stood up.
He cleared his throat.
"Everyone, Laura has some good news to announce."
Laura's face glowed with happiness as she gently caressed her belly.
"Frank and I are having a baby. The doctor examined me yesterday and confirmed I'm two months along."
My knife and fork clattered onto my plate with a sharp sound.
"Really? Laura?"
My eyes widened in shock.
"Of course," Laura smiled, her eyes filled with tenderness.
"Sophia. You're going to be an aunt soon."
Oh my God, this was so sudden.
The Parker family was going to have a new member?
That was wonderful. Will would be so happy if he knew.
Laura even apologized to me.
"I'm sorry, Sophia. Maybe it's because of the pregnancy, but I've been in a bit of a bad mood these past couple days. That's why I was a bit short with you yesterday. Can you forgive me?"
A strong sense of guilt welled up inside me.
Laura was pregnant, and yet I had been suspecting her. I was terrible.
I quickly said, "No, Laura, I've never blamed you. You don't need to apologize."
Laura breathed a sigh of relief, looking visibly relieved.
"That's wonderful then."
Just then, Robert hurried into the dining room, his expression somewhat grave.
Laura immediately tensed up, setting down her utensils.
"How is Will?"
My heart leapt to my throat. "How's Dad?"
Robert reassured us, "Ladies, please don't worry. Mr. Will is just feeling a bit dizzy and needs to rest in his room. I'm here to get his breakfast."
Laura quickly stood up. "I'll take it to him."
Robert hastily said, "Miss Laura, you are pregnant, it's not convenient for you. Why don't we have Sophia take it? Will said he'd like to see her."
I immediately nodded. "Alright."
I followed Robert to Will's room. As I pushed the door open, and heard his slight cough.
He still seemed weak, his face pale.
I carefully fed him the oatmeal porridge I was holding.
After finishing breakfast, Will wiped his mouth, his voice hoarse.
"Robert, please step outside. I'd like to talk to Sophia alone."
Robert bowed respectfully and left the room, gently closing the door.
I looked at Will with concern, sitting on the edge of the bed and holding his hand.
"Dad, what do you want to tell me?"
Will took a deep breath, his eyes showing exhaustion.
"My health is getting worse. Perhaps in a few years, I may be reunited with your mother."
My heart sank, my throat tightening.
"No, Dad, don't leave me."
My voice choked up, tears welling in my eyes.
I had only just been reunited with Will. I couldn't accept that he would die so soon.
Will began coughing violently, his body trembling.
I panicked. "I'll go get the doctor right now."
I made to stand up, but Will gripped my hand forcefully, his aged hand surprisingly strong.
"I'm fine. Listen to me first."
"In a few days, I'll have Robert help me draft a will. Over these years, I've failed you in so many ways. I want to make it up to you. After I pass, half of my fortune will be yours."
What?
Just yesterday I had become a princess of the wolf pack, and today I was going to inherit a massive fortune.
I was completely stunned, waving my hands.
"Dad, I've never thought about these things..."
Will smiled kindly.
"But as your father, I should plan for your future. When you become the pack's Luna, having this wealth will prevent others from questioning your status."
"I..."
I suddenly blushed, thinking of those four alphas.
"Dad, you know about that?"
Will smiled. "I can tell that all four alphas really like you."
He patted my hand. "Child, follow your heart. Your wolf will make the right choice."
I was already too embarrassed to know what to say, so I could only lower my head, my cheeks burning.
Robert knocked gently on the door.
"Miss Sophia, Mr. Fabian is looking for you."
