Chapter 64 Unspoken Desires

Chapter 64 Unspoken Desires

Morris was about to say "I'd rather spend more time with you than with Yoyo," but as the words reached his lips, they transformed into. "What would you like for lunch? How about seafood? I know a great restaurant that delivers. I can have them bring something over."

"That sounds wonderful!" Emily nodded eagerly. She had always loved seafood but had lived so frugally that she rarely treated herself to such luxuries.

During lunch, Morris carefully peeled the shrimp shells for her, placing the snow-white meat in her bowl with a drizzle of lemon juice that he knew she liked. "Eat more," he encouraged. "Lobster is at its best this season."

Emily felt a warmth spreading through her chest and whispered a soft "thank you."

Throughout the meal, she could feel Morris's gaze lingering on her, making her cheeks flush with heat. She stole a glance upward, meeting his tender eyes, which sent her heart racing. Quickly, she lowered her head, pretending to focus on her food.

After lunch, they sat in the living room watching a movie.

Morris had chosen a light comedy, but Emily's mind kept drifting back to the morning's intimate moment. Occasionally, she'd peek at Morris and discover that he wasn't watching the screen either—his eyes kept wandering toward her. They sat close enough that she could smell the faint cedar scent of his cologne, making her heart beat uncontrollably faster.

"By the way," Morris suddenly broke the silence in the room, "your account has been gaining followers quickly. Have you thought about expanding your content direction?"

Emily was startled by the abrupt change of topic but answered thoughtfully. "I'm planning to create content about desserts adapted for elderly people. A follower messaged asking for recipes for soft, easy-to-eat sweets for their older relatives. I think it's a meaningful direction. I'm also planning to do a collaboration livestream with Zoey—she'll handle the eating part while I demonstrate the preparation process. This way we can cross-promote and diversify our content formats."

"I also want to create a series on making desserts on a budget, teaching people how to create visually appealing treats with affordable ingredients. Not everyone can buy imported materials—practicality is key to retaining followers."

When Emily talked about work, her eyes always lit up with particular brightness, her tone confident and professional. Morris watched her speak animatedly, his admiration growing. He knew Emily wasn't in it for quick money; she had her own ideas and always thought of others.

"Let me know if you need any help," Morris said gently. "The company has a professional editing team. If you're short on time, I can have them help you with the footage."

Emily smiled and declined. "No need. I prefer learning at my own pace. My goal with this social media venture is to achieve something through my own abilities, making the most of my spare time. If I keep relying on your help, that would go against my original intention."

As evening approached, Emily stood to say goodbye. She planned to take a taxi home, but Morris insisted on driving her.

The atmosphere in the car was much more relaxed than in the morning. Morris offered several suggestions for her social media account, like "You could add some behind-the-scenes content to let your followers know you better" and "Perhaps try a Q&A session to increase engagement." His advice was professional, and Emily took it all in.

As they approached Emily's building, Morris slowed the car down, reluctant to part with her.

But no matter how slowly he drove, they eventually arrived. After parking, Morris looked at her with expectation in his eyes. "Next time... could we go somewhere else on a date? You always come over to see Yoyo. If you miss her, I can send you videos, or we could video call."

Emily nodded, her face flushing as she whispered, "Okay."

Morris waited until he saw the light come on in Emily's apartment before driving away. He touched his chest, feeling his heart still pounding rapidly. That last sentence had taken almost all his courage to say.

As night deepened, Morris lay in bed wide awake. Every time he closed his eyes, his dreams filled with images of Emily—her busy figure in the kitchen wearing an apron; her sitting in the garden with Yoyo resting on her lap, looking beautiful as sunlight fell on her hair; the gentle flutter of her eyelashes that made his heart melt.

Scenes from the day replayed in his mind: Emily's blushing cheeks, her soft lips, her tender smile when looking at Yoyo, her bright eyes when discussing work. Every shining moment stuck with him.

Eventually, he drifted off to sleep.

In his dream, Emily was suddenly lying beside him, face to face under the covers. Morris cupped her face in his hands and slowly kissed her. Emily's gaze was dreamy, her chin slightly raised, her hands instinctively pressed against his chest as she made soft, tantalizing sounds.

Soon, their clothes lay scattered on the floor. Morris gazed at the graceful figure beneath him, unable to contain his desire any longer.

He first took her full, soft breast into his mouth, his hands roaming freely, caressing every inch of her skin, leaving his marks on her flawless body. Emily responded passionately, her face flushed, her body soft and yielding, her eyes shimmering with shyness and anticipation.

Finally, their bodies joined as one. Moonlight filtered through the curtain gaps, falling on their entwined figures. The air was thick with desire, the room filled with intimate warmth.

The dream became increasingly vivid. Morris groaned with unrestrained passion until the intensity of his arousal jolted him awake. He realized with embarrassment that his sheets were wet.

Staring at the ceiling, his face burning with shame, he mumbled, "How could I dream something like that?"

It was utterly mortifying. What would Emily think if she knew? No, this had to remain his secret forever!

Morning sunlight pierced through the curtain gaps as Emily opened her eyes. Thinking about Morris's wish to go on a proper date with her filled her with warmth. She rolled over, contemplating where they could go. A picnic in the countryside seemed perfect—fresh air, tranquility, and she could even gather content for her social media. Two birds, one stone.

Having made up her mind, she took a deep breath and picked up her phone to text Morris.

[Free today? I'd like to go for a picnic in the countryside. Want to join me?]

After sending it, Emily's heart leapt into her throat. She stared at her phone for a few moments. Just when she thought Morris wouldn't reply, her phone vibrated.

[I'm free. I'll come pick you up now.]
