Chapter 141 Lessons for a Rude Alpha
Quinn's POV
"Oh my God, Quinn! Are you okay?" Ema said a little loudly. She was still arranging the order on the table.
Meanwhile, I quickly pulled my hand away from the table. I also stared sharply at Hanz.
This guy, how dare he cross the line!
I was very surprised. What exactly was he looking for here? Trouble?
If he was looking for trouble, he could have looked for it somewhere else. Then I would have been happy to oblige him. I wasn't afraid of him at all.
What he had just done to me was clearly his real purpose for coming here. And my guess was right, he just wanted to cause trouble again. He probably wanted to provoke Grayson's anger again by using me.
There were many people here and they all had phones. So it was possible that photos would be spread again, as if to refute my clarification.
"Have you forgotten that I have clarified we are not dating? So don't touch my hand and don't twist public opinion!" I said emphatically but quietly to Hanz.
Hanz smirked. "I know it was Grayson's doing. It wasn't you who denied it."
"So what if it was Grayson? He's my boyfriend, so he has the right to help and defend his girlfriend."
Hanz clenched his jaw. His hand under the table was about to grab me, but I backed away. "I'll prove that the clarification is false. That way, the public will believe again that we have a relationship."
I looked around. Oh no, Ema was coming this way. I didn't have much time to talk to Hanz, the troublemaker. So I bent down a little as if I was cleaning up the broken glass. "Let's talk outside. That is, if you dare."
"Why not? I accept your challenge."
I immediately stood up again because Ema had arrived beside me.
Ema checked my hand. "Are you hurt?"
I smiled slightly. "I'm fine. The glass fell directly to the floor so it didn't hit my hand."
Ema grimaced. "Then what about your feet?"
"The glass shards didn't pierce my shoes. So that's fine too," I explained.
Ema then held her chest. "Thank goodness. I was worried you were hurt."
"I’m so sorry Emma.”
"Oh Quinn, don't worry about it. It's perfectly okay. You can be more careful from now on. Don't think about the damage because it's not that much."
I nodded slowly. "Thanks, Ema. I'll clean up the mess."
I was about to crouch down, but Ema made me stand up again. "Leave it. You rest. You look really tired."
"But it's my fault," I insisted.
Ema then brought her lips close to my ear. "It's okay. I have plenty of time to be around Hanz anyway." She then pulled away and winked at me.
"Okay. Then I'll take a short break and get back to hustling afterwards."
Ema patted my shoulder. “Yes, you can relax for a moment. And I can take a break too.”
I could only shake my head at her behavior. But deep down, I was very worried that Hanz would see this opportunity and take advantage of Ema later on.
Ah, no, no. I had to remember Grayson’s words. I didn’t need to meddle in other people’s business. Yes, I didn't need to put myself in danger.
So I tried to ignore everything Ema was doing in her attempt to approach Hanz, and went back inside.
But before entering the staff room, I gave Hanz a signal with my eyes.
After that, he stood up. I don't know what he said to Ema, but he managed to get her away from the table.
I didn't go into the staff room either, but went straight out the back door.
I folded my arms while waiting for Hanz to come.
Actually, I wanted to at least slap Hanz. For what he had done to me, spreading rumors that we were dating when I couldn't give my opinion because I was in a coma.
Even seeing his face just now made me sick. Especially when he touched my hand, I almost pulled his hand away and slammed him down earlier.
I didn't care if he was an Alpha or stronger than me. I wasn't as weak as I used to be, so I dared to fight him myself.
And he finally came. Walking with his hands in his pockets and his chin raised high.
When he reached me, he took his hands out of his pockets and ran them through his hair.
I chuckled mockingly. "You're not attractive to me, Hanz. So stop trying."
"Really? Ah, I guess the things I usually do to charm women aren't working." He put his hands back in his pockets.
I rolled my eyes. "Yes, you should know that your efforts are futile. Even if you try to mess up my relationship with Grayson with your fabricated gossip, I will never turn to you."
"What a pity. Actually, you started to attract me when you rejected me."
I spat right in front of his shoes. "Sorry, I like a clean man. And you're very dirty." Then I waved my hand in front of my nose.
Hanz's hand flew up and stopped in midair. Me? I stared at him even more boldly.
"Why stop? Go ahead."
"You'll see the news about us soon. The news will make everyone believe that you are mine instead of Grayson's."
"Okay. That's later, right? Now let me teach you a little lesson." I raised my hand in the air and slapped him.
"You! How dare you slap me!"
