Logan paced the length of his study room , his hands on his waist, his thoughts in shocked disarray.

He couldn't believe it. He couldn't fucking believe it.

How could anyone ever think he would stoop that low?

That anyone could ever label him such was beyond insulting. It was humiliating.

Two days ago, he would never have imagined something this outrageous happening to him.

But now, here he was. .. He was in the thick of something so bloody ridiculous that he felt like pinching himself again so he would wake from this nightmare that had his name branded over it and causing his reputation to be seriously at stake.

He actually had pinched himself twice while watching the video a while ago.

While he watched the clip of himself beating that asshole which had been pasted on social media with the ridiculous titles, captions and hashtags, he had told himself he was simply imagining these things.

That they could not possibly be true.

But the pain that had resonated and spread from the origin of the pinches to the rest of his thigh had him know that he was very conscious of his reality and that he was very much in deep mess.

Reckless bully beat a man over a woman.

Just in: Logan beats a helpless man just because he can.

Woman causes Logan to beat the man nearly to death.

Logan becomes a frightening bully: more details in video inside.

He could not shake those annoying labels out of his head. That those absurd lines on social media were connected to him had his blood roaring in anger.

It was funny how life works. One minute, he had his life together; he was planning his goals and smashing them. The next minute, he was being made the object of laughter and derision on social media.

How he was going to get this fucked up phase behind him was an answer that he did not have.

He slammed his hands on the large desk in frustration, the sudden and violent movement causing some books, pens and a small mug to fly out onto the floor. He paid no heed to the crashing sound that accompanied the fall as he straightened to think more about the video.

Godamnit, he thought with a heavy sigh as he put his right hand through his hair thereby tousling it further, he couldn't believe that his life had spiral out of control so fast.

Him a bully? Didn't these people know hell would freeze over first?

He didn't notice the knock on his door until it came again hard and quick.

But before he could say “come in '' , the door flew wide open and Joanne marched in like someone who had gone wild. Her hair was not properly styled and the first three buttons of her shirts were open, revealing white milky flesh.

Logan would have spent time admiring the skin but the storm on her face had him call it a lost cause. She was holding a newspaper in her right hand.

Unease rolled in Logan's stomach. Considering recent events, he had a fair idea of why she was rattled this way.

Fuck.

Joanne slammed the newspaper on the desk, causing more pens to roll down to the floor.

Reluctantly, he allowed himself look at the bold written title on the front of the newspaper:

Mafia billionaire bullies helpless man.

He sighed and rubbed his tired eyelids with two fingers.

What would he say that would calm this very angry woman down? Damn, he was so tired. The fire from the video had not begun to rage and he already could feel the heat. Heck, he was already having his feathers burnt.

“What the hell is going on?” Joanne demanded.

Remembering that he was no coward and he was going to face his mess face like the dogged man that he was, he straightened and looked her in the face.

The anger brewing like a storm on her face had him hesitating but he steadied himself.

“Look, Joanne, it is not what you think it is. It is all a lie. For real.”

She snorted. “The news has traveled all over town. The video is there for everyone to watch as evidence. And you are here in your reading room telling me that it is not what I think it is. Yeah right.”

Logan sighed, not knowing what else to say that would not make him seem like a pathetic fool.

Joanne locked angry eyes on him as she folded her hands, her chest heaving up and down beneath her arms. “I don't give a damn about if it is true or not. All I care about is that this is put to a stop before it slanders our name. Fix this, Logan.”

With that said, she turned on her heels and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her firmly.

Logan put his head in his hands while Joanne's words did a replay in his head.

The video is there for everyone to watch as evidence. And you are here in your reading room telling me that it is not what I think it is.

Her words filled with so much derision clinched a decision in his mind.

He was not going to hide away in his room while his reputation was being tarnished.

He picked his car keys from the desk and left the house in his favorite Lamborghini, determination shining in his eyes.

At first, he didn't know where to go but as he drove, he saw how going to the club where the incident had happened was a good idea.

Since it was late afternoon, the club was relatively empty; only a few early comers were scattered around various tables indulging in depressed drinking.

He went to the receptionist table and asked for the man that was the cause of the nightmare he had been embroiled in.

“I don't know” was the reply he kept getting.

Feeling the wave of frustration rise more in him, he turned to leave the club but paused when he saw from his corner eye the flash of someone running away from the side exit of the club.

Instinctively, without him thinking, adrenaline kicked in his body and he pursued the mysterious person.

Years of gyming worked in his favor and in no time, he caught up with the stranger in the parking lot of the club.

He turned the stranger around.

Twas the damned man.
